My daughter just did a Taylor swift summer camp here and had the absolute BEST time!! It was her favorite camp she's ever done. The teachers were so sweet and great with the kids and they did the cutest projects. My daughter was so excited everyday to go to camp. Such a wonderful place to take the kids. We had 5 kids with us. Ages 2 and 6, and each kid had a blast. The Toddler explore hour was fun, I wish we had 15-30 more minutes. I loved how the area is contained, so when all 5 kids split up we were able to divide and conquer without worrying about the kids safety. Outside area was great for open air play with paint. I recently threw my daughter's 9th birthday party here & it was a slime themed party! Very hands on, the kids had a blast, but my husband and I were the ones majorly helping the kids around the studio & at the various slime stations... while there were atleast 4-5 instructors only one was going around asking for the kids if they needed help! (Shoutout Melly & the Dj) overall for $500 I thought they would be more involved with the kids! They had a fun time but I wouldn't throw my child's birthday party here again. Love the sensory outdoor play. Although parents are there to watch their kids, in my opinion, water beads should not be included as little ones are playing around. I saw a baby picked it up and was about to put it in her mouth. We were able to stop her. The mom was attending to her other child at that time. We do love this place! We had my daughter's 7th birthday here back in February, and it was so cute and easy as a parent. Two young ladies hosted the party for the kids, and had multiple activities set up to match the theme. They were super kind and patient and kept the kids engaged the whole time, and made my daughter feel so special for her bday. All I had to do was bring our pizza and cupcakes! My daughter and her friends had a blast and I would totally recommend this if you have a smaller group of kids who love to do arts and crafts. One of the best toddler parties ever! Just had my daughter's 4th birthday party here and it was absolutely perfect. I'll admit, I was worried about the short set-up time allotted, but they are VERY helpful and truly, pretty much everything is set up for you before you arrive - you just add your own personal touches (tablecloths, plates, silverware, cups, and a few balloons, if you want). Super easy for the host, easy for the parents because there is so much to do and there are instructors (Aria & Olivia were amazing with the kids & our face painter Millie was great too!) there to help guide the kids through the activities, lots of fun for the kids and many options to keep them entertained for a few hours, short set up and no clean up needed! Last winter, I was looking for ways to spend the school break with the kids. We had our staples to enjoy: Sacramento train museum, indoor play spaces, and library story time. But I was on the lookout for something different. Enter: I Heart Art. My then-three-year old twins are very different. My son is all about things that go: cars, trucks, trains, planes. My daughter can appreciate her brother's interests but loves baby dolls and art. I'm really not sure which is her absolute favorite, but I'd rather see her create something from her mind than watch her tuck a doll into a tiny crib or be forced to try and help her doll put her teeny tiny clothes back on. I Heart Art has then and now a four hour open studio time. The owners set up stations throughout the studio to engage the kids in creating art. Some of the stations are thematic, (e.g., holiday decorations), others are standard (e.g., lego wall, painting wall). Going to I Heart Art during the Open Studio time was a risk. Among the most probable scenario was what if she liked it and he didn't? Would we leave? Would I cut her fun short to avoid him creating a scene? I didn't know what to expect. Still I thought it'd be worth the risk. We were the first to arrive that day. I'd sent a message to a number of their classmates' parents because I figured we were all in the same boat trying to figure out something to do. A few were able to join. Some even spread the word. And so here were kids primed to create art. And they did. After three hours, we walked out with our arms filled of activities and smiles on the kids' faces. My daughter moved from station to station slowly and purposefully. She explored each and every project. My son moved much more rapidly, but found his groove with the LEGO wall, and play doh. Both showed increased concentration as they discovered more. The space is awesome. You can paint. You can play with clay. You can create crafty things. There is giant loom. I was surprised when my son took a fabric strip and started with the loom. He said, "We have one at school." There are so many art supplies throughout this one large room that we could spend all day every day and never do everything. With the stations setup for the Open Studio, we didn't have to be paralyzed with options. We had the activities narrowed down, but with a lot of built-in freedom. There's so much variety that there ends up being not just something for everyone, but multiple somethings for everyone. When their friends arrived the first time, it was really nice. Not only did the kids enjoy making art together, but as parents we were able to socialize in a way that the hurried drop-off and pick-up times usually don't offer. What's great about the Open Studio is that it's open. The one, very large and tall room reminded me of the art studios in college. The huge plus for me is that the kids can be in different areas of the room, enjoying radically different experiences, and I can see them both. Plus, the women who work there went out of their way to help my kids make the most of their time by providing instruction and additional options when necessary. We've been back several times and have enjoyed it each and every time. They offer memberships which we probably should look into. But they also offer attractive hourly rates. I'm looking forward to when they're older and they are able to take classes and attend the camps. I Heart Art is a phenomenal place. A true gem in the community. With so much focus on STEM education, it's nice to see a place where art is emphasized. read more

A great place to host a party for an 8 year old. Lots of projects for them to work on. A great mix of structured activities and free play to create. Our party hosts were a little on the quiet side. I feel like I may have been able to direct the kids and wouldn't have needed a second host but you have to when you have more than 8 kiddos. What a great place to have in our community! My 7 year son came here for a birthday party a few months ago and a great time. I took an adult workshop and had a blast. Everyone who works here is very sweet and passionate about art! My son is doing a camp this summer and he's very excited about it because they are going to create a float for the Pleasant Hill 4th of July parade! I only wish the camps were a bit longer because 2.5 hours is pretty short for working parents trying to juggle schedules. read more

This review is WAY OVERDUE. I had my son's 4th birthday party at this art studio in 2017 and it was so wonderful! The owners of this shop are so sweet, so accommodating and genuinely want you to have a great experience. They did a custom them for us - race cars and it was so wonderful. The space is beautiful, bright, cheerful and so stocked full of wonderful materials and a variety that is great for all ages of kids. We had kids as young as 1.5 up to 7 years and they all enjoyed the different stations and art/crafts set up for them. They have a great long table for your refreshments when you have a private party, which was great. We ordered pizza and had a lot of treat!
