We came in for their Wednesday $5 flatbread deal. The staff was super friendly and great at answering my questions. We got a philly flatbread, a chicken bacon ranch flatbread, both with the daily side that was a kale pasta salad. We also got the "good for you" nachos. The nachos could have used more sweet potato fries because there was a lot of toppings. My philly was cheesy and had a good amount of meat but not a lot of peppers and onions. The chicken bacon ranch could have used some lettuce and tomato. We enjoyed our lunch to go and was such a deal with a side and a drink. They had two juices and two cold teas as drink options but were good. They have a lot of menu options like build-a-bowl, burgers and wraps that I'd like to try. Just got out of the gym and my friend and I were looking for a healthy place to eat. This was our first time coming here and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My friend and I both had a smoothie and a large bowl. The smoothies were impeccable, the consistency was great, and it was full of flavour. You can taste all the ingredients at once in just one sip! We tried the Malibu Mango and Yo-yo Berry smoothie, we recommend both! As for the bowls, we both got very different items but both were great, filled with flavor, and a good portion size. The price was reasonable and not as pricey as other health food establishments. We will definitely be coming back to try more menu items! Next up, the burger! read more

I came across Clean Eatz as a nearby option when I was craving a balanced, nourishing meal on-the-go after a rare weeknight grocery run. I loved the build-your-own idea and so many delicious options to choose from. Surprised myself even with the selections I chose but was SO pleased with the outcome. The shredded beef appealed to me as a rare menu offering and the taste + moist texture of theirs was impressive (even reheated as leftovers) - such great flavor!!! Happy I chose that as my protein. Veggie servings were larger than typical restaurant portions, which I loved, and cooked well - still some crisp texture retained on the asparagus. Mushrooms and zucchini added in too, portions a bit smaller on these but overall I was satisfied. The dressing/sauce options made it fun to pull all this together and my choice of Chipotle BBQ paired well, according to my tastebuds. Best part?! Well, aside from it being far more delicious than expected, is that I had enough for another full meal with the amount of meat and sweet potato - just added a few more veggies when I reheated the next day (all about those veggies!). So for the medium bowl, I got two meals - can't beat that! Didn't know if a small would be enough for my appetite, Happy I upsized so I could enjoy it twice! I absolutely love the concept of the Clean Eatz meal plan options! We have been SO busy lately and sometimes stopping to cook dinner isn't an option. A friend of mine had tried some meals a few months back and so I thought I'd give it a shot. I bought enough meals for myself for lunch and dinner for a week. I did some calculating and figured that I was spending more money daily purchasing lunch from the cafeteria than if I were to buy ten meals from Clean Eatz. It seemed like a no brainer to me, especially considering they are pre portioned! Of course the more meals you buy, the cheaper cost per meal. The meals for the next week get emailed to you Wednesday or Thursday of the week before. You have until Sunday night to place your order for pick up on Monday. You have the option to do meals with less carbs/more veggies and no carb. These options are only available for Tuesday pick up. So far, my favorites have been the chicken and waffles, pot roast, and the philly cheese steak. Also, the shrimp in the surf and turf were big and very juicy! I'm a fan! read more

My boyfriend is obsessed with this place and regularly orders the Arnold wrap (which he never gets tired of). However, lately the employees can't seem to figure it out as far as customer service and running a business goes. We called on a Wednesday between 4-5pm on 4 separate occasions within a 45 min time span. Not one time did someone answer. It went to voicemail every time. I looked on their website and Facebook to see if maybe they were closed due to covid reasons, even though we order just a week or so prior. There were also recent reviews from other customers. We ended up going to elsewhere and Clean Eatz missed out on 8 customers. Your food can be good but you have to have the customer service to match. read more

Awesome healthy option! My partner and I have been in need of some wholesome nutrients and today we found it at Clean Eatz!! I got the build your own bowl with beef steak, spinach, zucchini, Brussels sprouts, brown rice and the cilantro lime sauce. It came out piping hot and was delicious! Great portions of everything and very filling. Veggies were cooked nicely on the grill, the meat had a good subtle flavor that went nicely with everything and the rice was the perfect amount to give me a little bit of carbs but not weigh me down. Partner got the veggie wrap and said it was great. It was loaded with lots of different veggies and came with a side. She got the yogurt parfait. Looks pretty good. Service is awesome, we had a nice guy that's "training" to open his own store in Knoxville, TN and I will definitely make an effort to go to his store if I'm ever in the area! Very disappointing. I had a "buy one get one free" coupon so I figured I would try this place with my son who is a vegetarian. First of all when I tried to use the coupon I was told that it wasn't actually buy one get one free, but if you buy an entree you got a to go meal. Not what I understood the deal to be, but ok. We ordered. Most items could be made vegetarian, but it almost seemed like an afterthought, which seemed strange for a "healthy eating" place. I am personally a pretty dedicated carnivore, so I didn't have a problem getting something that met my dietary needs, but my son had a hard time finding something that sounded good. I ordered the Arnold wrap, which was ok, but bland and dry. My son ordered a Quesada with tofu that was supposed to have some kind of jerk seasoning. Somehow it too was very bland. We both added some of the seasoning blends at the table and sriracha in order to give it a little flavor. This, at least made it edible. My son only ate about half of his. He is usually your typical hungry 17 year old and hadn't had lunch. He is not a picky eater, other than the vegetarian thing. It just wasn't very good. At this point I probably would have given 2 stars, maybe 3 if I was feeling generous. At this point we went over to the freezer to pick out a take home entree. I am visiting from out of town so I figured it would be something my son could heat up for a quick lunch. After searching through the whole freezer, the only thing we could find that didn't have meat was the French Toast Casserole. It sounded ok and was really the only option for him. We ended up eating it for dessert. Surprise, surprise it was dry and bland. We added some caramel sauce to it to at least give it some flavor and moisture. I still only ate half of mine, but the dog seemed ok with the rest. Obviously I won't be going back. Usually we eat at Islands fresh Mex, which is always consistently good an inexpensive too. A-OK. Nothing amazing, but pretty good. We both got the build-a-bowl which is your choice of protein (chicken, salmon, tofu) three veggies, one carb and a sauce. They forgot my spinach but I got some on the side. Their ingredients are not as clean as you would hope but way better than most restaurants. $24 with tip for lunch for two, so not much more expensive than your average "order here" type place. I love the concept for sure. I was really wanting a smoothie after checking out their website. Wilmington location doesn't serve smoothies.... Whomp whomp whomp.... :( Macronutrients are important to me. I love places that offer full easy disclosure on food macros. I stopped in after lunch and it was pretty busy and cramped. I got some fudge and some hummus and pitas. I asked for macros on the fudge and she gave me a rough estimate. I was really hoping for some legit numbers. That's my only complaint. Put the macros on the website for easy access. I want to know what I am eating if health is a focal point. Did I tell you the fudge was delicious! I grabbed a birthday cake and smores for home. They were in a ziplock bag with no label. Hence, macronutrients needed! Hummus and pitas were ok. I wish I knew what was in the hummus. A little more detail goes a long way for me. I like the concept just wish a little more detail and transparency is available on macros and ingredients. I felt like I was being a pain by asking the front counter gals. I think all the stores should be built similar too. I have been searching for a legit smoothie place in town. Disappointed that some other locations serve them but, not the Racine Dr. Location. They have a wide variety of entrees and also do meal prep for those who are busy or need help with nutrition. I love that i can order online and dont have to worry about what to eat for the week. They have a good variety too. However, i am disappointed to come and pick up the food i supposedly ordered online and they will tell me that they dont have it in the store or that they ran out of it. What is the purpose of ordering it and paying for it ahead of time if it wont be available??? So instead of having a meal for the week, i only got 2 meals this week. I've had these meals at the gym but recently the gym started carrying meals from another company. I'm hooked on The Arnold. I love how I'm on my weight loss journey and I can go to Clean Eatz for my " naughty meals " and it not be as naughty. Negative: as much as I enjoyed the meals at the gym going into the restaurant to pick up an order I found on both occasions that the cashier was less than friendly ( and yes I was friendly and smiled). As a plus size woman......on my weight loss journey going to pick up this food was just as intimidating as it feels going into a gym to workout. Smiles are free ..... we can give out a few extra . Food was quite tasty. I had the tofu wrap and it's always nice to order something that's just vegan already without having to customize it. I had a salad with balsamic, and it was all really tasty. I loved the wrap - all the veggies were prepared well and all had great flavor/ texture/ consistency, so I was happy. Gentleman taking the order seemed a little bit 'over' it, if it doesn't make me sound like an ass to say that. I feel like he couldn't have cared less we were in there. I've been in public services/ customer service a long time so it was bit awkward. Some people clearly knew him on a more personal level and seemed fine, but you gotta treat everyone like that. My wife and I were visiting Wilmington after graduating from UNCW 15 years ago. This restaurant is close to campus, and close to the apartments we lived in while in school. If it had been around in those days, we would have been regulars. Not only is the food healthy, it also has good flavor. I had the "build your own bowl," with steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms, quinoa, and chipotle BBQ. It was really good. So much so, that we came back again the next day and had the same thing. The steak is like shredded, slow cooked beef and is tender and juicy. The first time we visited, my wife had a salmon salad which was also good. The prices are reasonable, and I like the atmosphere. It is small, but has tons of witty, motivational quotes and quips posted around the walls. There is also outside seating. A great addition to Wilmington.
