They reached out to me and rescheduled the appointment for my daughter to see she had to spend another $50 to Uber back there but this time the car was there and the salesman was there. This transaction went fairly smoothly. Everyone I spoke to was nice. There was just that minor failure to communicate, which cost us some money. We did purchase the car. The time at the dealership was quick and we got to drive it home about an hour after we got to the dealership. Then I had some back news where Tyacke was able to come in and go above and beyond. The next day I brought it home - the truck would not start up. I was devastated as I was really excited about the vehicle. I knew that a used car dealer had no obligation to help when I bought a 30yr old car as is. I reached out to Chris just to let him know what was going on and how I felt. Chris offered to take the car and look at it for me and found that there was a huge issue with the engine. What shocked me is that he gave me an option at that point - we could undo the sale and I could go on my merry way - or they could help get it running again with a new engine they located. I chose to trust Chris and see how far the repair path would go, I really wanted this thing running again! It took longer than either of us expected but. This went above and beyond to be fair throughout the process even covering payments for the car while it was in the shop for a few months. While the process was a few months, I got my truck back running better than ever! He…read moredrove down from salt lake and we took the car for a ride and all of a sudden alarms were going off on the screen and it said it needed to go to a mechanic. So we took it to a mechanic where he found some codes that affected the emissions. So it wouldn't pass. We took the car back and told them what the mechanic found . My friend was not going to put down a non refundable $500 if the car didn't get fixed . They said they would have their mechanic look at it and when my friend called on Saturday they said the problem was fixed. So he paid them $500 and said when he got back from his trip he would pick the car up. When he came to pick the car up we took it back to the mechanic and he retested it and new codes came up. Of course we were upset! We took it back to Action Auto and they said those codes will just go away the more you drive it. Umm who wants to buy a car already having issues? The car had also been in an accident but they said it didn't affect anything . Well my friend stood his ground and said he wanted his $500 back because he didn't want the car with known issues. The manager wasn't in to authorize the money to be given back so my friend had to call the next week. During the sales pitch he asked what the best price was that they could come down to and he was told there's no room to go down in price. They were also only going to give him 5 gallons of gas to go home with ( when you buy a new car the dealer always fills the tank) a few days later he called the manager and he finally approved the $500 to be refunded. My friend went to another dealership up north and bought almost the same car with less mileage. They put all new tires, replaced the cabin filters, filled the tank with gas and came down on the price . . Another funny thing.. my husband looked at all the negative reviews on here so he called action auto and told them he was looking at a car on their lot but then read all the negative reviews and asked them why... they said well gave you looked at google reviews ? (We all know people can make fake reviews on Google ) my husband said no just the ones on yelp and the guy hung up on my husband . So what does that tell you? This business is so freaking shady ! Please do your homework before you buy from them. Take the car to a reliable mechanic to make sure the car is actually ok. We sure are glad we did! Shady, shady business
