I also tried their almond butter and banana toast, as well as the avocado toast. Both were really good but the almond butter toast was a little too sweet with lots of honey (I think) drizzled over it and you only get 1 slice of toast that is cut in half. So far I've had the relaxation one, almond butter toast & chicken pesto sandwich. The relaxation one is great and I usually add a few things to it based on my own personal preference - but it's really good as is. We visited this restaurant for lunch yesterday. It didn't have much on the menu for actual food as they definitely focused on juicing. There was no one in the establishment when we arrived yet there are three employees didn't greet us for at least five minutes. I finally decided to say hi to one of them, and then they acknowledged her presence. We ended up only ordering the Cali sandwich, which was more like a Panini. The sandwich was good and fresh with turkey and avocado but it did almost take them 20 minutes to make it. They appeared to be focused filing electronic orders which makes sense, but was not expected since no one was in the establishment upon arrival. However was not fond off the granola it did not taste fresh as well as the coconut chips which takes stale. I am hooked on this place with all of their natural juices, smoothies and now smoothie bowls. It's a bit pricey but everything they make is fresh and they also have fresh cleansing packages. Exceptional range of high quality ingredients and best of all, they taste fantastic! Recently became a favorite of mine after my second visit. I am so happy that I stumbled across Clean Juice in Aptos. I've tried two of their smoothies so far, and I've been craving another for the past few days! So far I have tried a green smoothie, and an amazing chocolate protein smoothie called "the chocolate one". The employees were super kind, answered all of my questions, and helped me to select a drink. I love that the calorie information is posted right on the menu, and that there seems to be an option for everyone. They even have vegan protein powder for all of those plant based people. The bowl I got was good, expensive but good. What was most disappointing was the service. First off the cashier was wearing a mask only covering her mouth. I mentioned it to her and I was met with a dirty look. Than I gave her a $3 cash tip for a $10 Acai Bowl and got zero thanks or acknowledgement, just another dirty look. Finally she slammed the bowl on the counter and walked away without a thanks. They are hit or miss! It's really frustrating- half the time I go it's amazing and the other times it's barely edible. I gave them many chances for smoothies and wraps because as a vegan there are very limited options in Santa Cruz and they actually have good options- but the last few times I've tried for one last try the smoothie was half blended and the wrap was inedible- like drenched in dressing when I specified no dressing (doesn't need it IMO when it already has avo and hummus!) and the quinoa was frozen/crispy? The last time I went I ordered on the app for curbside because with the new mask mandate I just cannot go into a building and wear a mask because my toddler on my hip yanks it off AND i'm 9 months pregnant and already out of breath- they didn't answer the phone so I had to go in with my toddler on my hip and pick up my order and the employee had the nerve to give me a hard time about no mask when it was supposed to be curbside- and she was really rude and said SHE was the general manager. I love that we finally have a place in south county to get fresh juice and smoothies and healthy food- but I wish this place were more consistent. They are understaffed (probably not their fault, everyone seems to be on fake unemployment) and would probably thrive if they have 3-4 employees working at a time because it seems kind of crazy to wait 10-15 minutes for a juice or smoothie when you're the only person in the store. ALSO- it would be great if there were more vegan options - like straight up vegan not things you have to specify no cheese on- vegans need protein options too and there's plenty of opportunity for them to add things, I don't get why a juice bar serves chicken and cheese on every sandwich/wrap, not very CLEAN IMO..., but beggars cant be choosers in Santa Cruz when it comes to healthy on the go food options! read more

Soo my first experience the wait was extremely long , they messed up my order, possibly forgot about it , they were searching all over for it and finally I got my açaí bowl and it was melted! I thought I would give this place another shot so I went there today and got my smoothie after a 25 minute wait and there were HUGE chunks of banana it like they didn't blend it all the way .. I couldn't even drink the smoothie with a straw I had to go home and scoop out the smoothie with a spoon... pretty disappointing for the cost of $8.25. Well in fairness, I'm only rating their Acaí bowls. They get 5 stars for their cleanliness and customer service. I ordered the Nutty Bowl: Organic Açaí, Organic Almond Butter, Organic Almond Milk, Organic Banana, Organic Cacao, Organic Granola, Organic Maple Syrup, Organic Strawberries And our order was the original Açai bowl. Santa Cruz has quite a few spots that have the tastiest acai bowls so I have had my share of many delicious Açaí bowls. Clean Juice just cleaned all the taste from their Açaí bowls. It had Zero flavor. At $10.25 for one bowl it was a huge waste of money spent. It tasted like old frozen smashed bananas. I saw they used powered Açaí mix. Huge mistake. Why? When they have a perfectly good blender to use the real deal Açaí puree. To top it all off they forgot the strawberry topping. I sure hope they fix their recipe.
