Indoor seating is limited -- we sat outside. We arrived during an off-time and were the only patrons there -- service was friendly quick and attentive. We ordered some fresh juice and an açaí bowl inside and then ordered tacos and a burrito from the food truck (related company/owners???) --- and it was all delicious. Juice was a generous serving and the food was s expected with homemade salsa provided in cups for personalized tastes. Came here after Samba Rock was closed!! A bit hard to find, taco truck in front of the store and shares space with their Mexican food/fruit offerings. Small lot to park in. There is signage though so you'll see it! Workers are nice! 420 bowl (kiwi, blueberry, mango with hemp granola) - they ran out of kiwi and their hemp granola so I subbed in pineapple and their regular granola. SO GOOD. The acai base was cold and thick, no one likes a melted acai bowl! The pineapple, mango, and blueberries were SOSO fresh. Pineapples were so sweet and didn't make my tongue all tingly. Their takeout containers are also nicely thought out- makes it super mess free to eat out of and to carry to the beach. Just found my new favorite place for acai bowls in SC! read more

Four stars with the potential for 5 stars. Went on a whim today for a quick post workout mini meal. It's located on Portola right next to 'Over the Hill Saloon'. Do NOT use the Saloon parking lot. There are a handful of spots on the street and lots more if you turn down 38th and walk the half block back. It's a large indoor space that I feel could be utilized better, although it does make it feel roomy. It was a beautiful day so I enjoyed my açaí bowl outside. There is also a taco truck outside if you're with someone who isn't into açaí or smoothies. I had the 420 bowl, I forgot to tell them no honey so it was a little sweet for my preference. I was a little disappointed that it came in a plastic togo container. Being just a few blocks from the ocean I would expect something more sustainable. It would be wonderful if they switched to a corn based compostable plastic or paper. I would love to see protein powder as an add on too. It's pretty standard for açaí places and I was a little disappointed they didn't offer it (especially since I had just completed a workout). The woman who took my order was quick and efficient, there wasn't much chit chat - it was definitely more 'take your order'. I would love to see this place adjust those few things I mentioned or consider them. I think both options would be a crowd pleaser. Update. Came with my family and tried some new things: Horchata: Was a delicious and very sweet drink. I would recommend sharing it with someone because it was way too much sugar for me and I couldn't finish the whole big cup. It had the right amount of rice milk and cinnamon though. Mixed Fruits: Again, I'm not a fan of chamoy/tajin so I can not say much about this. But I did enjoy the fruits that did not have as much of that spice. Cookies & Cream Milkshake: A little pricey (I believe it was $8) but it did come with a wafer which was unique. Why did I not discover this place sooner? No more driving to Watsonville every time for my Mexican desserts - this great little spot at the Point's got it covered! They carry paletas, mangonadas, ice cream, bionicos, and other dessert items, as well as more savory options like juices, acai bowls, tortas, and tacos. So really you can get both your meal and a treat here. I had a diablito, which was just like a mangonada but with tamarind instead of mango sorbet. Wow was it good. The tamarindo was so refreshing and a unique touch. I don't visit east side beaches much but if I did, this would become a staple in my beach routine. We also picked several paletas to take home. They make them all in house and have an impressive variety! Can't wait to try the pecan or the mango with chili. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful. And the space felt safe during the pandemic. Face coverings are required and they ask that you wait outside while they prepare your order. So happy to now have this place to get a treat in a stress free environment! read more
