Some may say "oh five lbs," but for a 5'1" girlie, that is very significant. Anyways, my dearest friend ChatGPT told me to get a lymphatic drainage massage specifically for post surgery and this place was listed as one of three. I used to go to The Tox, but that is just for circulation purposes and compared to that place, this place seemed more legit. I had to have my surgeon send them a letter signing off on the massage to make sure my body would not be impacted and my wounds were fully healed to get this massage. The minute I showed up, I knew this place was what my body needed. My person told me to change into disposable bra and panties, assessed my body and asked me where my incisions from my surgery were. When she saw they were more than healed, but scarred at this point, she wrapped my body in plastic and put me in the sauna to start the initial detoxing process. Service was impressive! It is like she knew when I would run out of water and brought me more water in between. When I thought I couldn't take the heat any longer, ding, the chicken (me) was done baking. Normally I dread massages. They are painful and I get very stressed out. However, this one was so relaxing and my person realized it was my gut that was acting up the most so she spent more time on my tummy. I won't say that I felt debloated or depuffed instantly, but I felt relaxed. It does take 24-72 hours to feel the full affect of a session and based on past experience at The Tox, the 72 hour mark is when it hits. I get so lethargic I need to sleep all day and night. Luckily that would be NYE for me and this year I do not have concrete plans. I will be nice and spritely for my date the 2nd. Two thumbs up for this place. Disclaimer: both The Tox and this place are great. However, I will note that The Tox markets looking leaner due to lymphatic drainage. This place is more medical and is to help the lymphatic system calm down after it has been in shock after an invasive surgery like mine. However, I will say one thing and it will not rub some the right way, but I have been doing this for many years along with other body sculpting moments (check my other reviews). ALL THIS WILL NOT, AGAIN, WILL NOT MAKE YOU LOSE WEIGHT. THIS IS TO HELP CIRCULATION AND OVERALL TAKE CARE OF YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM. IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, THERE ARE OTHER POSSIBLE OPTIONS. The float rooms are located in the bottom floor down this very steep staircase, but inside it is nearly completely soundproof (or as soundproof as one can get in the middle of Midtown...). The experience is very relaxing, as you get a huge private room to shower and then float in. The tubs are also really big so you don't feel claustrophobic. I appreciate the amenities as well, like lotion and little packets of Vaseline to cover up cuts. You get plenty of time to shower before and after your appointment so you do not feel rushed at all. Staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. They do not try to upsell you on stuff and kind of just leave you to do your own thing, which I really appreciate.

The shower has a SNO function, which is 45 degree water for 90 seconds. ( similar to a cold plunge) super cold, but feels great for a few seconds.
