I paid the $300 to lock in that time and after hours of waiting, I had to reach out and ask where the nurse was. They told me there weren't any nurses available and asked me to wait until tomorrow. Offering up times, charging people's credit cards and then not showing up at the expense of sick people is beyond messed up. I hope this place shuts down. read more

I booked an appointment for my father who has cancer and needed anti-nausea and an IV hydration boost. I booked it for 6:15pm and paid the $300 at the time of scheduling, of course expecting that a nurse would show up. Instead, I received a text from the company saying they were waiting for an available nurse but that they would let me know when one confirmed. My father was miserable and was looking forward to his appointment, but after 2 hours, I reached out again and they said nobody was available today and asked if we could do the appointment tomorrow. Obviously we needed the fluids and medication today. There was no disclaimer throughout the schedule process warning customers that appointments are not confirmed at the time of booking. If there had been, I would have looked at other companies that could have provided my father care instead of making him wait & suffer longer without any resolution. I am a RN and NP and have previous experience working for an IV infusion company. This situation would never have been allowed to happen at that company. Appointments should only be able to be booked and pre-paid for if there is a confirmed nurse available! Well 1st appointment they brought Wrong. type of fluids for me , 2nd time correct fluids nurse was very good, however i have tried to book 6 times since the end of may absolutely zero nurse's now nobody called for nearly a month there's plenty of nurse's in my area. I will never use the IV Doctor again as they wasted 2.5 hours Telling us they were gonna get a nurse to our hotel as my wife was feeling horrible and needed an IV. I texted multiple times and they lead me to believe they were working on it and no issue. For the hour leading up to the appointment time they never communicated so I reached out once again at appointment time and they finally acknowledge that they didn't think they could get someone the entire day. By the time they were honest it was too late to go to one of their competitors so we couldn't get the help we needed. If they had only been honest right when we started or within an hour we could've easily used a competitor of theirs as they had openings, but their delay tactics and lack of transparency made it so we couldn't get the help we needed and my wife was sick all day. I had my first experience with The IV Doc on Saturday. I got a package that had all vitamins that would assist with energy, mental focus and weight loss. Nurse Angela was an "Angel". She was so easy to talk to. She was informative. We found that we work for the same place. I'm writing this review on Monday. Perhaps my expectations were too high because so far the only good thing is my interactions with Nurse Angela. If I actually experience energy/mental focus, I will definitely change my review. This is my second IV experience. After reading the reviews (which I should've done first) I am considering this could be a scam. They never asked for labs or anything. Hmmm. I'm now 0-2. I booked this for my 82 year old dad, who has some serious health issues & he was dehydrated. I brought him to the ER yesterday & walked right out because it was packed! This was at St. Francis in Port Washington. I was not going to take a chance of my dad catching something. I looked online & found The IV Doc. I actually was following them on IG. I booked it last night at 6:30pm, got a text confirmation that they were looking for a nurse. Nit sure why people were upset that they said they were locating a nurse for them. Guess it is standard protocol. I received a text message asking if we could do 2 hours earlier, which was fine with me. This morning I got a call regarding all of my Dad's health issues & the meds he was taking. All went well. The nurse, I will not say his name because he also works in a hospital in Long Island, in their cardiac care unit, this is a side job for him. He was AMAZING!!!! So kind & caring towards my dad. He was professional & he had some great advice about some other things that my dad has going on. He chatted with my dad while he was receiving the IV Cocktail & monitored his BP & heart. All went well. He thanked my dad for his service in the US Navy, as my dad was having a conversation with him about the Navy. When finished, we chatted about the IV drip & the benefits for my dad & what he can do in the next few weeks in regard to another drip. My dad was feeling much better. This really put me at ease, as I am going out of town for a few days & I was thinking about not going because my dad was not doing good. I was very happy with the service & the professionalism. I agree with many others that this is a scam. They allow you to sign up for a time without nurse availability then text you to let you know they're trying to find a nurse and they never find a nurse and rescheduled for the next day, when they supposedly have availabilit. Nobody shows up and when you contact them, They say "oh I'm sorry we have to cancel, We couldn't find a nurse." You're better off going to a local RESTORE for IV drip. I was cautious about my expectations since I live far from Manhattan but still in Queens where many companies simply don't service. Scheduling an appointment was so easy and the time selection for the same day appointments was so convenient I assumed I was just going to get a text message back saying "Sorry no one is available." I couldn't have been more wrong. Within 15 minutes or so of submitting my request I got confirmation a nurse would be on their way. A little later I got a call to discuss my medical history which was actually pretty extensive. They made sure that there was no medications or conditions that would make treatment a bad idea. Initially I signed up for the very basic (ie- cheapest) service as I knew I was just dehydrated and needed fluids. I kind of expected the person I would speak to would try to upsell me on additional services, and he did, but he wasn't overly pushy. In fact though I did agree to a second bag of fluid at a relatively small extra fee because of my height and weight. Literally to the minute I asked for, the nurse showed up. She could not be more professional. She asked all the questions over, got a full list of medications, and did everything those in medicine would expect a nurse to do if you were being admitted to the hospital. While it does take a little time it is in your own best interest. My vitals were taken before, during, and after treatment. She did offer the option of additional services (Vitamins and such) as well (she'd need to call back the doctor to confirm if I chose any) but I politely declined and that was fine, no pressure. I don't recall the exact time the session ended but it was between 90 minutes and 2 hours. My complicated medical history probably added to the delay in getting treatment started (lots of meds and history to bring up) but I had no complaints. I was just looking to get some fluids I knew I needed and I did. I know they specialize in hangover cures but this wasn't for a hangover. Finally there's somewhere to call just to get fluids short of going to an Emergency Room- and in the comfort of your own home, what could be better? read more

I coordinate covid testing for productions, I've used labs all over the country and this was no doubt the worst lab/clinic I've ever used. I tried to get three concierge covid PCR tests through this company at their Washington DC location 1. First test was booked for 9pm and paid for. A nurse called my client asking if she could test earlier at 6pm, my client wasn't available at that time and replied no. The nurse went home for the day and contacted the client around 8pm saying there was no one available to test her now. 2. Second Test - the nurse gives the client the wrong test, so I have to contact them to go back and give her the correct test ordered. (I had to pay for both test, no refund given for the wrong one) 3. Third Test - results are guaranteed 24-48hrs later, took almost two weeks to get the results. After many phone calls and emails they were finally sent to me. My last phone call I made to them I could hear another nurse and patient talking in the background, the patient was complaining about them no showing to his appointment and was trying to get a refund. read more

Scheduling was easy, any time i liked. While they quickly debited my account, no one came for the appointment and I spent over an hour trying to get information as to when they would fulfill. A manager was supposed to call me -- nothing. About the same time that my refund was processed, I received a text confirming a new appt for 12:30. They quickly recharged my card. I cannot say enough about this service. They are professional, efficient and incredibly prompt in their responses. My boyfriend had a terrible case of food poisoning. I went onto the IV doc website and made my request for an appointment at 6:45am on a Sunday morning. Nurse Sarah was at the door by 9am. Sarah was incredible. Kind, nurturing, professional, personable, and had impeccable bedside manner. I would highly recommend IV doc and give it 10 gold stars if I could. My nurse (Joseph) was an absolute angel and came at 9:30pm, swabbed my nose, and headed out to process my test in his car. Results came back in 20 mins. I am not the biggest fan of needles so I put off getting an IV for a long time, but after a night of over indulging I gave into my fears out of desperation. This is a sham of a business. I scheduled an IV for a certain time, right before a big meeting. An hour before my appointment I receive a text asking if they can move me to a later time. I replied no. 5 minutes before my scheduled time I receive another text from a different number telling me my scheduled appointment is at the wrong time. I text the original number and ask why they would move my appointment after I said it isn't possible for me. Their reply ? "Sorry we can't do the original time." There is no doubt that all of us could use an IV every so often. From dehydration to sickness, exhaustion or a hangover, an IV can solve a lot of problems immediately. The problem with this business was the lack of professionalism and protocol. This was our experience: Reason for visit? Dehydration after long distance run 1) Nurse arrives in old scrubs. They looked 10-15 years old. She seems very scattered in her thoughts creating a tense atmosphere. 2) Upon preparation, she digs through her scruffy backpack and pulls out the bag. While connecting the tubes, she somehow finds it's ok to drain excess water from the IV all over my carpet. 3) Trying to keep calm for my wife, I let her do her thing. Problem is, she could not find a vein. Instead of finding a new vein she sticks to her spot while poking and prodding the area. 4) We tell her to find a new spot several times and she only does after my wife says she's going to pass out. Immediately after, the area starts to swell, create pain and immediately bruise. 5) Now stuck with a patient on the couch that's about to pass out, the nurse panics and demands I get some cold water and wet cloth. While pouring water, she continues to nag me about the cloth creating a very tense situation. I tell her to "Calm down! I am getting it. This is my wife. You did this and I am taking care of it". She finally let's me do my thing. 6) Now frazzled, the nurse starts digging in her back pocket for another needle. She's digs around aimlessly for a good 30 seconds to a minute with things falling out her pocket. I'm feeling uneasy. 7) Finally gets another needle prepped and finally finds a vein in her arm (not hand, as we suggested). With the procedure underway, she comes to the realization that she really messed up. Her first excuse was, "I should not talk while I am working, it throws me off". This is followed by endless apologies and a sudden 'caring nurse' attitude. 8) After some time, we ask if she can get another bag because the veins are still down. She says she only brings what she has for the visit, but usually they give more if needed. We needed it and she didn't have it. 9) I complain to the company and only get a "Sorry. We will make sure this does not happen next time" What made me do a review two days later was looking on the ground and finding a part of the IV, which contained remnants of blood. Who's blood is this? Was it my wife's or something that fell out of her back pocket while freaking out- see 'IV Dump' in pictures. For a medical treatment administered by health care providers, this is down right disgraceful. I like the idea of your service, but I'm honestly scared of your business. And your prices are off. Check the original Hangover Bus in Vegas. $110 for onsite visit. Add any cocktail you want for free and get 1 or 2 bags according your needs. **And yes, it was The I.V. Doctor, Alvin C.
