STAY AWAY! Absolute fraud. It tells you all you need to know that they only respond to positive reviews. I have a 25 email thread begging for a return label even though they have "30 day money back guarantee" with video evidence that they sent me a non working device. It's really a facade and the safety precautions on the back are etched in a foreign language. No one has responded since I sent all evidence & requested return label, phone line send s me straight to voicemail, please save yourself and do not give your money away to these scammers

Nice bathrooms and shower with everything you need - hair stuff and face stuff.

One of the best hidden gems of downtown NYC when it comes to self-care and recovery. You essentially get a whole room to yourself for either 30 minutes or an hour to use the infrared sauna - get a good sweat, great for workout recovery, great for your SKIN, great for just taking a GOOD PAUSE - and then you can take a luxurious shower filled with nice toiletries to get ready for the rest of your day or your evening. So worth it and so easy to book.

What an interesting experience! I booked my bf and I a 30 minute quick dose session. You enter through the lobby of 11 Howard hotel, and take the elevator up to the 3rd floor. There's a small check in desk, and if it's your first time, I highly recommend asking how it all goes down.. otherwise they'll prob just bring you to your room straight away because time is of the essence It looks like most of this floor has been rented out by HigherDOSE because your sauna is in a private hotel room. That means there's no common locker room area with showers or anything, all of that is in your hotel room. Thus, your undress/shower/dress time is included in your timed session. But the privacy is really nice! They have a water dispenser and a fridge with Perrier which you can bring into the sauna. It's also nice you can connect your phone to the speaker if you want to listen to music. I think a 30 minute session is a bit too quick to reap the benefits. If you're going to rinse off, you really only have 20-25 mins in the sauna, so I'd go for the 60 min next time. We were just starting to sweat around 15-20 mins. There are different light therapies you can choose from within the sauna, and they have a book at the check in desk that explains all the benefits of different colors. By the time I got into my room, I completely forgot LOL and they don't post it anywhere in the room, so we basically just used the auto function to cycle through all the colors. Did we get any benefits from a few mins of each color?? Who knows lol but it was a cool experience. Once you leave your room, you're pretty much done and don't need to check out or anything! I read that if you do go over your time limit (there's a timer inside the sauna), then they charge like $2.50 per minute or something. The only thing I really didn't like is the time limit. I went to Clean Market for infrared sauna, and felt much more relaxed because I could take my time getting dressed and washed up for the rest of my day. They also had rooms to relax after unlike higherdose.

HIgherDose just opened up a new location in the ModernHaus Soho Hotel and this new location is a MUST visit! The views are absolutely incredible and they have an option to include a cold plunge into your session, which left me feeling energized all day and gave me the best night's sleep. I know a cold plunge after being in the sauna sounds painful, but they had a great guided meditation on an iPad in the room that helped me through it. I can't wait to go back!

Never been to something like this before. It is definitely a unique experience with some great customer service. The concept is that You get your own room with a sauna in it. It looks like it was a converted hotel room into a room with a sauna in it. They also have chromatherapy which is a light therapy in the sauna. The concept is that the different colors of light give off a different therapeutic benefit. I am not sure if it actually does anything but I guess people buy this jargon. The cool part of the concept is that you get your own room and its full privacy. That being said, it was a fun time with my wife. We did the 60 min session and we enjoyed relaxing. They have a bluetooth if you want to play music and a personal bathroom. We took a shower after and left feeling relaxed. Will definitely be back.

A sauna session at HigherDose was a perfect afternoon me time moment on a cold winter day. I enjoyed the private room and having the option to play my own music with the speaker. I recommend to friends and neighbors. Thank you for the experience!

I've only tried the float therapy here so far. The float rooms are located in the bottom floor down this very steep staircase, but inside it is nearly completely soundproof (or as soundproof as one can get in the middle of Midtown...). The experience is very relaxing, as you get a huge private room to shower and then float in. The tubs are also really big so you don't feel claustrophobic. I appreciate the amenities as well, like lotion and little packets of Vaseline to cover up cuts. You get plenty of time to shower before and after your appointment so you do not feel rushed at all. Staff is very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. They do not try to upsell you on stuff and kind of just leave you to do your own thing, which I really appreciate.

On this one, I can't say I'm convinced it does anything. Sure, the overall space is nice and 'zen'. The salt room itself, very 'pretty' with all the various white/ivory/peach/pink/coral/orange shades of the salt walls. The feeling of salt crystals under your bare feet? Nice. Relaxing chairs to sit in. But at the end of the 30 minute session, did I feel anything special beyond the fact that I just 'relaxed' in a pretty room for 30 minutes? No. Note that the salt room can also hold up to three clients at a time, which means they have the potential to charge up to $87 for three people, for just a 30-minute period. That's $174 per hour for a room that's filled with salt. Where no personal or hands-on service is provided...just clients 'sitting' in a room. I guess they also disperse 'saline aerosol' into the room while you are sitting in there. I'm not exactly sure what that is, or how it's supposed to be beneficial to you but then it begs the question...is it the saline aerosol that benefits you and/or some type of 'energy' that is supposed to come from the salt itself in the room? I don't know...I just have to wonder if this salt room thing is nothing more than an (unproved) trend that they are going to milk for all it's worth, until the next wellness trend comes along. When I first arrived and was eventually directed to the room, even though they knew it was my first time there, I was given no real direction or expectation...just told to go on in the room. (Typically you'd expect some type of introductory language...'we pipe saline aerosol into the room...this provides XYZ, etc'). I also found it odd that at the end of the 30-minute session, the woman working the desk simply came to the room and opened the door without warning. No knock, no 'bell' to let me know the session was over...just her, suddenly opening the door. (Typically at personal service places like that, they would knock on the door first, or ask if it's ok to enter, and especially considering I was in the room all alone, i.e., maybe I was in the middle of taking a weird selfie when she just opened the door?) Maybe next time I'll give the infrared sauna a try and see how that goes...but as for the salt room and just sitting in there, I don't think I'd spend my money on that again. It so happens that at the time, I was starting to feel quite sick with a bad cold. Other reviews here seemed to suggest they felt 'relief' from a cold. I felt no difference in anything, after my salt room session.

My massage was an ok experience - pressure fluctuated throughout, so it was hard to pinpoint when to tell her to go harder or softer. Even though there were a lot of people, it didn't seem too crowded in each pool at any point. The ambience is very dark, calming, and relaxing. I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I.
