This custom cover has heavy duty sliding doors on the front for easy equipment access, a walk-through end gate, pretty lattice, metal roofing and rain gutters! They drill their posts deep in the ground and pour concrete high above ground level the way it's supposed to be done so your posts will have long life. They also use high quality redwood lumber. The crew at StraightLine work very hard and you won't see any slackers or weak links. These guys don't rest until the work is done and their work is clean and professional! If you have any questions, you can count on Karime and Oscar, to help with anything you need to get the job done smoothly! I won't call anyone else when I need fencing, decking or any type of pergola type of work at my properties. They are the very best, highest quality builders and their pricing is always fair!

They did a great job and we are very happy with the new deck. I was on a tight time schedule to get the new concrete patio and walkway, and then the deck, done before hosting a celebration of life for my best friend. Gary explained the challenges associated with such a tight schedule (so much so I had to ask if he was trying to talk himself out of a job) which I understood. However, he made an effort to include some weekend/OT work ahead of time to make it happen, and for that he is well respected. It has been a year and the product is holding up well and looks great. In hindsight I would have rather gone with darker, medium brown rather than the light color because of muddy dog prints, but it is still awesome. Gary insisted they will be available and responsive if I have any issues or small repairs going forward. This was a primary factor in hiring G&G so I will update the review when that time comes. I highly recommend G&G Decking and would work with them again.

And look -- that could have gone sideways real fast. Like, real fast. It didn't. Thank God. Here's the thing about this crew -- and I mean every single person who showed up -- they were just genuinely friendly. Not "we want your money" friendly. Actually friendly. The kind where you don't mind them being at your house for weeks. And on top of being friendly, they actually knew what they were talking about. I asked a lot of questions. Probably too many. Nobody fumbled. Nobody gave me the blank stare. Nobody redirected me to someone else. Just straight, confident answers from people who clearly know their craft. That goes for the construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team. All of them. Damn consistent across the board. Now -- I'll be real with you. Their quote came in a little higher than some of the other estimates we were getting. And yeah, I side-eyed it a little at first. But here's the thing -- the other quotes were coming from general contractors. And with something like this, I didn't want a generalist. I wanted a team that actually specializes in this kind of work. And that's exactly what I got. So honestly, the higher quote made complete sense once I thought about it. You're not paying more for the same thing -- you're paying for people who actually know what the hell they're doing at a deeper level than your average contractor. And as the project grew from a partial repair into a full deck reconstruction -- which, by the way, nobody saw coming -- the cost didn't blow up the way you'd expect it to. It stayed fair. It stayed honest. Nobody tried to squeeze extra money out of a situation that was growing by the week. When you zoom out and look at the whole picture, it's a no-brainer. You get what you pay for. And I couldn't be happier. Sammy and John were on it the whole time. Responsive, communicative, never left me hanging. And even after the project wrapped up and I came back with follow-up questions -- because I definitely did -- they were still right there. Patient, thorough, zero attitude. I had a lot of anxiety going into something this big, and somehow between Sammy's leadership and John keeping everything moving in the right direction, that anxiety just kind of... dissolved. Which, if you know me, is not easy to do. These guys just get it. Oh, and they cleaned up after themselves. Every single damn day. No nails. No debris. No "that's not my problem" energy. They treated my home like it was their own. Like, genuinely. I didn't have to ask once. Special shoutout to Sammy for always being reachable, to John for keeping the whole operation from going off the rails, and to Fernando, Armando, and Salvadore for their hard work and dedication on the ground -- these guys showed up every day and just handled their business. And honestly, the entire construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team deserve a shoutout too. Every single one of them showed up like it mattered. Because it did. We live in the Berkeley Hills it was also time to install an alternative to wood (for fire safety). After doing some research, including a neighbor's recommendation, we found Duce. They did a great job for us. Susan was professional throughout the process, from planning to installation. And she or Kayla returned our calls in a timely fashion. The crew was hard working and they worked quickly. They left the site very neat. They were done in 3 days. At the time they did the job Duce used Knotwood aluminum fencing. Knotwood offers a wide range of colors to choose from. And compared to the company our neighbors used, it shipped the material much more quickly. We wanted the fence to look like the fence we were replacing and we couldn't be happier. Showing how Susan takes care of her customers, we requested a small change. She took care of this without any additional charges. As far as cost goes, metal fencing can cost a lot more than wood. From talking to other neighbors who installed metal fences, I'd say Susan offers competitive pricing. One more positive about aluminum fencing is it's going to last a long time.

We recently hired Clean N Seal for a significant outdoor wood restoration project, and we are truly satisfied with the experience and the results! This was actually our second time using them, we first had them restore the stain on our deck about three years ago and were impressed enough to call them again. Both times, the scope included cleaning and staining our redwood deck, pergola, another wood deck section, and several planter boxes. They also installed new shade fabric on top of our arbor. From the start, their estimate was the best we received. Throughout the project, communication was excellent. Ang, our project manager, was fantastic to work with - always responsive and clear. We appreciated their flexibility, too. When we discovered some rotten wood that needed replacing, they were able to add that to the scope without any hassle. The final results are beautiful! Thanks to a plumbing service who failed to determine where our sewer lateral was before they cut…read moreinto the front walkway, we had a large hole in front of our main entrance...and the concrete contractor recommended by the plumbers didn't even call us back. Carrillo's Concrete was the first Yelp-guaranteed contractor who responded to my request, and quoted a flat price which was under what other non-guaranteed contractors quoted. They maintained communication with me throughout the process, even when we had a rain delay, and came out to do the work on the next clear day. Four and a half hours later, we had a nicely repaired walkway with aggregate that was almost a perfect match for our existing walkway. We'll always be able to tell that there's been a repair, but people who hadn't seen it before probably won't notice that it's been repaired. Carrillo's Concrete did a great job with this repair. We cannot recommend them more highly.

BDC Landscape came out and responded to my inquiry very quickly and were able to provide an estimate within 1 day. We did not have a design in place, however, the team was able to put together a simple, yet effective design of what my wife and I had envisioned. What was once just dirt, soon became a beautiful mix of pavers, artificial grass, lighting and retaining wall. The team worked quickly and efficiently and made sure to go over every detail to ensure it was to our liking. Andy was very knowledgeable and made sure our plan came to life. We now have a large paver area and concrete pad which fit our firepit and backyard furniture. Our kids now have a large area to grow into and play in for years to come. BDC Landscape was able to complete my backyard in such a quick turnaround that they were able to accomodate the front of the house as well. They were nice enough to re-wire my existing sprinklers, move the old irrigation off to the side, add a spigot to it, and tighten up all the other irrigation lines all for no additional cost! Also, as a DIY person I appreciated them taking the time to show me how things work. Four weeks after installation the lawn looks amazing with no dead patches. I definitely recommend this crew and will be using them again for future projects.
