I can't say enough good things about Sammie and his team. I found him on social media and went with him because his bid was thorough and reasonable. They did a large backyard remodel based on a design prepared by another company and did an amazing job executing a somewhat complex design (involving patio pavers, artificial turf, concrete, concrete steps, grading, retaining wall, fence/gate, gravel area, prefab pergola and bar, among other things. We appreciated that Sammie worked with us to modify the original design as much as we wanted. We recently had our driveway, side walk path, and backyard made over by Armenta. This was a huge project - both in scope of work and price - but the end result is perfect - we get tons of compliments from neighbors and friends. I've not written a post like this before (unsatisfactory), but if you're here you know that you're about to make a large investment... a big decision. So I thought it was important I share my experience. I came across Armenta via Instagram and used the phone number provided on their page to reach out. Within the same day I received a response from the owner Sammy and we scheduled a visit for an estimate. The day came, he showed up, we discussed some different ideas we had, but we were extremely forthright about our budget and explained that we did not have expectations to get all of our ideas complete within this first project. We shared our one goal that we wanted to focus on this go around. During the visit he was pleasant, he listened, even threw out and idea or two. So confused is definitely a good word to describe our feelings that, since the visit we have not heard back from Sammy, despite me attempting to reach him multiple times via phone, voicemail and text. We never received our estimate. The lack of response is certainly very unprofessional. If he did not want to or simply could not take on our project we would have wholeheartedly understood...if it was just communicated to us. After 6 months we had an issue with a leaking pipe, and after a few attempts to get them to come fix it, they finally did. I am improving the review because the fix was solid, and after dealing with other contractors for other things, Sammie supersedes them in terms of communication and professionalism. Then he sends a few pics with a quote, just total & his zelle information.& and he doesn't complete all the things you wanted. If you ask for them it is now added charges. After 40 years of benign neglect, my backyard was definitely in need of a makeover. I contacted Armenta Landscape and Sammie Armenta and his crew came to my home to first clear the weeds. That chore was done quickly and efficiently. He then designed a landscape after discussing what I wanted with me. The design was low maintenance, with shrubs, dwarf fruit trees and a small patch of green. The crew was efficient and polite, making sure I was okay with the progress. They were on time each day and cleaned up when the project was completed. Sammie also made sure that the printed landscape design included the names of each shrub and tree so I can care for them properly. He hooked up an irrigation system for the new landscape and showed me how to use it. The final result was beautiful and I can now enjoy the back yard.
