There is no record of the company in Contractors State License Board, https://cslb.ca.gov I made a mistake of hiring Clean Out Pros LLC for a roof repair after reading the positive Yelp reviews. Josh from Clean Out Pros LLC is unreachable, so, I can only leave a review here. SUMMARY The roof repair failed in the next rain following the repair, Clean Out Pros came out to inspect the leak (in the same area they repaired) and said a larger area of the roof would need to be re-roofed since the house "shifted". I hired a licensed contractor to repair the same roof area, only to discover the repair work was not done correctly, the new waterproofing paper was installed on top of the old waterproofing paper and the actual repair area is smaller than what was quoted, missing the actual water intrusion point. DETAILS Clean Out Pros LLC performed roof repair work, and the repair was provided with a written ten-year warranty as reflected on the invoice. I relied on Clean Out Pros LLC's representations regarding the quality of the repair and the warranty coverage when he retained your company. Unfortunately, the repair proved defective. Beginning on or about October 14, 2025, following rainfall, water intrusion and leaking occurred in the same area that had been repaired by Clean Out Pros LLC. The leak continued during subsequent rain events. I contacted Josh from Clean Out Pros LLC regarding the problem. On or about October 21, 2025, Clean Out Pros LLC inspected the area and advised that the prior repair was adequate and that a larger area of the roof would need to be re-roofed. Concerned by this explanation, I obtained independent inspections from several licensed contractors. The inspections revealed significant deficiencies in the work performed by Clean Out Pros LLC, including: 1. Waterproofing paper was improperly installed on top of existing paper rather than underneath it, contrary to applicable roofing standards and resulting in water being able to flow beneath the new material and enter the home; 2. Damaged plywood was only partially replaced, leaving portions of damaged material in place; 3. The repaired area was substantially smaller than the area represented and promised, comprising approximately seventy percent (70%) of the agreed repair scope. I retained a licensed contractor to correct the defective work in the same area, the licensed contractor actually charged $2300 LESS than Clean Out Pros LLC, and the leak stopped completely. read more

He FaceTimed me when he was on the roof to show me some broken titles and areas of concern. I really appreciated this, because obviously, I don't plan to ever get up there to see it myself . They supposedly would do roof repairs as well. I did receive a competitive quote for my roof repair, after asking a couple of times, but I needed their license number as well. They said they have one. After asking a few times for it, they never gave it to me. I guess they don't have a license number, while they said they did. Just don't lie about it the first time..... And here is an update after the company's rebuttal. I'll start with a chronological order of events: - 8/24: We had a phone call about the job description - 8/29: I received a quote - 9/6: informed about an increase of the roof surface. - 9/7: received an updated quote - 9/7: asked for the license number as a third party solar company needed it. He would send it that evening. I didn't receive it that day. - 9/9: I send a text if he had sent over the info/license number (this of course implies I haven't received it). I had other questions as well. He only replied with a thumbs-up. So, it's not clear for which question that is. He did say he would call me be back that day. He didn't. - 9/15: I gave him a few days to call me back. On 15/9 I texted him that I hadn't heard from him and if he was still interested in the job. I never heard back! - 9/26: I gave him a 1 star Yelp review, based upon the above experience. Note: I was waiting for his response until 9/26 patiently as the third-party solar company was waiting for me. There is a reasonable chance the solar company would just drop me due to my delay, increase their pricing eventually or I could even lose my NM2.0. So there are inter-dependencies here and risks. After my posted Yelp review, he responded back within 5 minutes. He claimed he had sent me the license number on 9/7. I sent him my phone screen dump to prove I didn't receive it. He sent his phone screen dump showing that he did send it. So apparently something went wrong between his T-Mobile and my AT&T, a rare event. (But in his communications, he blamed me for being wrong....) The fact that he ignored me after 9/9 (no promised phone call, no response on my text on 9/15), is already enough to give a bad review. Certainly, given the fact that I was waiting for him to get back, so I could inform the solar company. And he knew about the fact there was a the solar company involved. I only increase the review from 1 star to 3 stars in the hope he will learn to improve his communication skills. The whole purpose having Yelp is to improve companies services for future customers. Additionally, there are more critical(!) issues I could reveal, but I'll leave it to one item: communication skills. First he said: "you just have too much time on my hands", then he said I'm a "crazy old man in my opinion", then on Yelp he claims "I'm struggling to manage my mom/dad's property". Which is it Sir? Actually non of these 3 are true. It's basically 100% FAKE (using your words). Everything I said, in my rebuttal above, is actually 100% accurate and can be 100% proven to be accurate as well. I had a rain gutter that made noise when ever the wind blew, a corner of the rain gutter that leaked and a downspout from the second story that shot over the first floor like a waterfall. I wanted these things fixed so I called Clean Out Pros. They contacted me right away and they were able to come out during the same week.
