I've also brought many of my other animals, and My parents dogs for quality vet care, and end of life care. Staff have all been pretty much polite, and knowledgeable. My only pet peeve was during Covid, I needed to bring my dog in for something minor, and they required up to date shots to take her on as a patient. I see now, this is sadly a requirement at almost every vet office, and is why many pet owners are choosing to go the natural medicine route. I will however, continue to bring my animals here, as it is the best choice in the area for vet care.

We felt some apprehension about having the dogs alone overnight with only day visits for walks and feedings, and initially decided to have the pet sitter stay overnight. We met with our primary pet sitter, Allayn, and her back up / emergency coverage sitter Roxy (just the idea that they had a back up plan was reassuring). They were thorough in their questions and really made us comfortable before our trip. Then, on short notice, we had a family emergency and needed a sitter on very short notice, several weeks before our planned vacation. Allayn was able to accommodate us, and the short 3 day coverage, without a sleep-over, convinced us our pets would be fine. Allayn has a great way with dogs (even our cat, who hates everyone, warmed up to her). She's also very reliable, and is a great communicator. For our vacation, we decided that we didn't need the overnight stay - as Allayn fed, exercised, groomed and even vacuumed) and the animals were fine. One of the dogs developed a health issue just before or vacation - Allayn gave his meds, and communicated with us about his condition, keeping us from worrying too much. The price is reasonable - about the same as 2 dogs in a kennel - and the service is outstanding. And I now believe the dogs were happier in their own homes than they ever were in a kennel. I highly recommend Happy pet Caregivers, and Allayn in particular.

The staff is friendly and my vet, Dr Catherine Maclean, is absolutely amazing and a well educated provider. Both my dogs come here and receive stellar treatment. Prices are very reasonable and lower than the competition. They have a lovely website which provides education and you can send in your concerns to make an appointment. They send text reminders for appointments. They even call the next day after an appointment to see how their patients are doing after vaccines. That is a huge personal touch! I feel the negative reviews posted here are unreasonable. Never once did I ever get the impression the practice is out for money. Perhaps, others have less experience over the years with vet practices as I have lived in different parts of the country. I have the utmost trust in this practice and look forward to a long relationship w them!!

They're the ones who diagnosed her with chronic ear infections. They demanded I had to bring her in to see them in order for them to send the prescription! The staff / owner doesn't seem to understand science very well as their "policy" is to require all visitors to the office wear a mask, even though they don't prevent transmission or acquisition of respiratory illnesses like Covid (maybe they should read the Cochrane Review report) and wouldn't let me pick up my two kittens without wearing one. My dog was having an issue with her foot that I had hoped would clear up on its own, but she got a little testy about, so I decided to bring her in. I called in the morning and they had a couple of slots open for the same afternoon, which was great. We arrived to a construction site, lots of power tools and men stomping through in their boots. My dog was not particularly disturbed by this, but going to the vet is already not her favorite thing, so it might have been nice to get a heads up. Especially knowing that she was feeling a little protective of her foot, I'm not sure if I would have chosen to bring her to an additionally stressful space with a bunch of strange extra people. The staff was accommodating enough and apologetic of the chaos in their space. We were moved into an exam room pretty quickly. One of the techs came in and asked a bunch of questions and entered everything into the computer. Eventually the vet came in and asked a lot of the same questions, which is fine for verifying everything, but I wondered if she had checked in on the computer info at all. She did an exam. She noticed one growth on my dog, but missed the other, and didn't note her couple of chipped teeth or the spot in her eye that most vets ask about, so I'm not sure how thorough this was. She took some samples from the paw without much explanation of what they were trying to do or learn or what the cost would be. They disappeared to check them out for a while and came back still not really knowing what was causing it. She did give some options while deciding on prescriptions, which was helpful. My dog has had a very similar issue in the past, which we went to another vet for, and it cost about $40 less for the same exam, procedures, and prescriptions ($145 vs $187), so this place seemed a little on the expensive side to me, and I'm not convinced that the care was better. I also asked both the tech and the vet about heartworm meds; neither seemed to run with this and offer to do the test, so I guess we will update them later. They've already done her exam, so we will probably go there to update vaccinations, but I'm not sure that I would stick with them otherwise. Seemed fine, not great.
