Was out traveling with my puppy and realized I had forgotten to bring her lunch :( We stopped in at Unleashed to buy some food for her. They did not carry her brand but the owner was so helpful, looking up which brand may be compatible for my girl. We found a brand and I purchased the food. When we moved out of state we couldn't find any local suppliers for our dog's raw food which was critical to her health. After many attempts with pet stores who often seemed bothered by the requests we learned about Unleashed. From the first email with Penny it was clear that we were in good hands. She was communicative, helpful and generous in her time to setup the first delivery so that we could get the food we needed. I can't say enough about the care and service. After almost five years living in the beautiful town of New London, we have become "Unleashed addicts". The place is not only superbly stocked, but every time Penny, the owner, goes to a trade shows, the stuff she brings is amazing, unique pet items for dogs and cats that are seldom found in the brick and mortar stores. With the plethora of recalls and warnings about pet foods and pet toys being imported from China and killing our pets, Unleashed has become just about my only pet food source. The store carries the grain-free, high nutrition, high quality food for dogs and cats, as well as an ample supply of pet needs and nutritional supplements. I have a dog with special needs as he has a permanent injury in one of his rear legs. But still, he loves coming over to Unleashed for his nail trims and of course, snacks in the process.... I can't think of a better place to get the food supplies for my furry family members. Unleashed is about the best pet supply store. read more

I love shopping at Unleashed in New London New Hampshire. Its just the kind of place that really puts customer service not just for me but for my puppy Queenie to the highest level. The store is stocked with everything needed to raise my dog from puppy stage to adulthood. Everyone who works there are so knowledgeable and greets all with smiles and always helps to find the right products for any situation. Whether from dog toys to the foods for optimum nutrition. We love Unleashed. Our dog is a fan of their treats and the bones we bring home, he is not a fan of going for a bath. He has some anxiety over being left without a family member with him. The groomers have been great with him. They can usually get us in for emergency appointments as well. We have had a few rolling in nasty things incidents over the years that couldn't wait for a few days and they made room for him. The staff are great and very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Prices can be high for regular food, but they are very reasonable for everything else. I should add that the food prices are high due the higher quality food that you can only get in specialty pet stores. So long as they are open, we will continue to get our dog's bones and treats there and have him groomed there. read more

I have been a customer at Unleashed for nearly a decade now. Their service and knowledge are absolutely impeccable. I've gotten more and better informed advice from the owner and staff here than my own vet - and on more than just one occasion. They are all pet owners who treat and care for their pets as they would their own children. (Because to them, they ARE just as important as human children!) I totally appreciate and am in sympathy with this loving and compassionate attitude towards our fellow creatures with whom we share the earth. They even have a free delivery service for local customers. Who does that nowadays, in the era of Amazon? Plus, the owner regularly donates to philanthropic and local efforts, including donating free gift cards to my town's July 4th dog parade. Truly, one could not pick a better local business at which to shop, and I feel so fortunate to be able to go there. Now, on to the review placed by Chris E. It seems to me that this is a person who was simply looking for a reason to be angry before he even walked into the store. 30 seconds worth of observation does not a sound judgment make. There are plenty of times when I've walked into the shop and the owner or staff are engrossed in thoroughly helping and attending to another customer, and have not noticed me walk in - or perhaps they have, but do not want to be rude or inattentive to the customer whom they are currently helping. However, they are just as attentive to me when it's "my turn". One needs to be a little more patient than 30 seconds! The world does not revolve around any one individual, as we would all do well to remember. As for the mask business, owner Penny spent 2K on a large screen divider at the register to protect staff and customers. Social distance is kept, and as far as I am concerned, if a customer wearing a mask feels comfortable enough talking to unmasked staff at a reasonable distance, that is their individual prerogative - especially since I've never seen more than maybe five or six people in the entire place at a time, max, for all the years I've shopped there. Reasonable protective measures were taken in the store, they are fully compliant with the protective measures mandated by the state of NH, and for someone who has never shopped there to leave a nasty review based on half a minute's worth of observation seems quite deliberately malicious - especially at a time when small businesses are truly struggling. We should be doing everything we can to be supportive and lift each other up during this time, not drag each other down. Penny, Abby and the team- you are all doing a great job! The last time I was in the person working the register told me 3 times that she and another girl working that day are allergic to cats. This was on a day I was bringing in my mom's cat for a scheduled grooming appointment. So not cool. If you're allergic to cats, don't work at a groomer especially on cat grooming days. And don't complain to the customers about it. The groomer always does a good job. read more

I have had a wonderful experience with the staff and the items available in the store, it has healthy foods and healthy snacks , bedding, leashes, collars, and breast collars so to not choking the animal, it was great support by the staff . When I first inherited a dog that needed regular grooming, I had no idea where to start. I went to a couple places closer to home and neither I or my new charge were happy. I found Unleashed and they are just so good with my dog, consistent in her care, so trust worthy, reasonably priced and over all comforting to take my girl. The sweet little touches they add to her grooming, helping with products for chronic ear issues and help with maintaining the over all health of my dog is so important to me. I HIGHLY recommend this lovely establishment! But if you need regular grooming, book ahead! They stay busy and booked up and for good reason! read more
