Kate was my therapist and she is so intelligent and empathetic that fueled my healing process. The whole house staff was amazing as well.. no words to describe the superior level of care I received. Along with the connections, education and support I received I have never felt so much kindness in my life by everyone during my month stay. The place is very bright and modern, and super clean. The staff seemed friendly. He only said the food was horrible. He seemed to be doing fine but today he passed away after they gave him a shower. No one could tell me what he died from and this bothers me. They all said his vitals were fine. I called him and he was really out of breath after his shower. He could barely speak so he said he had to go. An hour later they called to tell me he was gone! They did let me spend some time with him, and referred me to a funeral home. Jessica called me to tell me he was picked up at 3:10. I am overwhelmed with everything needing to be done now. Parking is a nightmare with no street parking at all. OakView skilled nursing facility is a top-notch location for acute rehab. From the moment you drive…read moreup to the facility, walk into the building and go to your assigned room, you can see the building is very well taken care of and nicely decorated. This is important as it shows their attention to detail. In the room, there is a lovely armoire for every patient to use for their belongings along with a nightstand, hospital bed and tray. The armoire is much nicer and larger than the usual small closet you find in most facilities. The true star of the facility are the employees. The CNA's are always quick to respond and provide you with the service you need. The LVN's who dispense the medication are equally quick to help and all of them have kind words along with words of encouragement for each patient. Unfortunately, I have been in numerous facilities and non of them compare. OakView is fine tuned and runs very smoothly. Administrative staff checks on the patients frequently to make sure all needs are met. Treatment plans are prepared by medical staff. And the social worker is very kind and extremely helpful in taking care of the patient while on the premises but also after they leave OakView. She even called me two days after my release from OakView to check on me and to see if there was any additional needs I had. I was extremely impressed by this as I had never had this happen before. Never was there a social worker that did a third of the work this woman did let alone follow through and show she cared every step of the way. OakView feels like a resort with medical assistance, not a skilled nursing facility. The food is excellent and if it's not to your liking, the chef is willing to prepare something that meets your desires. No other facility I know of does that. If and when I need to be in a skilled nursing facility again, I hope I am blessed to be able to find a room at OakView. I highly recommend it. P.S. They also have an assisted living facility.

The food was better than expected and the therapists worked her effectively on structured schedules that prepared her for success at home. She's now been home a week and is following the care plan provided and improving daily. Frankly, after reading some of the reviews we were afraid of what the experience here might be like, but it completely exceeded our expectations. We do not recognize the facility or experience described in some of the reviews. Thank you to the entire staff for making the transition from ICU to home well-organized, impactful, and free from unnecessary stress or drama.

I came here after a failed surgery trying to get off of opiates they left me for 30 hours without any medical support or medication they claim to offer detoxification but they only offer it Monday through Friday because weekends there are no available doctors or nurse practitioners And may I say not even doctors there's only nurse practitioners that you can call and talk to they claimed to offer a detoxification, but they don't,NO DOCTOR ONLY NURSE PRACTITIONERS . They told me a doctor would be available Monday through Friday. Only a nurse practitioner WAS AVAILABLE TO CALLcould be called over the weekend. They promised a 24 hour nurse doctor. None of that was true. They promised 24 hour chef. None of that was true. The chef provides no breakfast. He only provides lunch and he leaves a dinner for us to warm up for later. I'm not complaining about the chef. He is a very nice man and Karen one of the therapist. There is a wonderful lady. She really does care about patients. The conditions were unacceptable at this treatment center there were blood stains on all the sheets there were stains throughout everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty. Everything was dirty. They only have someone come in deep clean every two months.. I was forced to Detox in a shared room with a roommate who kept the TV blasting until midnight watching crime murders horrific TV shows that only added to my PTSD and in no way would she turn it down on a high volume because of her hearing I have never been to a treatment center where they placed you in withdrawal with another person in your room without proper medical care supervision or even a therapist even the Uber driver who picked me up said I was the third person that was leaving early because of how bad this place is that says everything the center should not even be allowed to operate What they are doing feels both unsafe and unlawful vulnerable people deserve real help not false promises and neglect there are plenty of other places that provide proper treatment and care please for your own safety look elsewhere. I rarely write reviews. This may be my fourth review ever and I'm 45 years old, but I feel strongly care about people trying to overcome addiction.i truly believe in karma I truly hope this message reaches anyone who is struggling and searching for the right help. the last 30 hours that I was there was a complete horror that I will never forget and I wish upon no one that this happens please there are so many other treatment centers that don't offer false promises and lies.
