In addition to the main areas, they did my hallways, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. Credit for my selection of SSFR goes to their representative Uri who conducted an onsite visit an estimate. Uri was polite, professional, shared his expert knowledge, and was believable. His estimate was the highest I received, but I felt most accurate given the labor involved, reasonable, and offered the most value in terms of his team's quality of work and SSFR's commitment to customer satisfaction. Because I was having some walls painted in my home, Uri recommended the floor restoration project be conducted afterwards. Three weeks later, Uri and his team of five guys arrived on a Saturday on time, professional in appearance, and focused on getting the job done efficiently and effectively. They carefully moved all my furniture items out of the way and protected them, my walls, and areas with guards and plastic wraps. They were very meticulous and thorough during the several hours of tile and grout cleaning, then sealing. Afterwards, they carefully placed my area rugs and further back into their original position. Come the actual day of the estimate, the representative shows up and measures our home, then says he will send over a quote for high end carpet or mid-range LVP as we were considering both. We thought it was weird that he didn't present us with any actual flooring samples, so that we could get an idea of product or get a more accurate quote without having to spend more time. It seemed like he was trying to spend as little time as possible with us when we were hoping to conclude the visit with a booking. He sent the ballpark ranges, we followed up via email saying we were comfortable with the price range but had questions. Never heard back. We went with another company that actually quoted more, but at least they are responsive and want our business.

Take a look at the pictures of the finished result--you can barely tell there was ever a drywall patch there. What impressed me just as much as the finished product was the amount of care they put into preparing the area. They covered everything nearby with plastic to keep dust and debris contained, and once the job was finished, they took the time to wipe everything down and leave the space clean. While the drywall texture was drying, they even went to the hardware store to have the paint professionally matched so the repair would blend in as seamlessly as possible. I really can't say enough good things about Gold Hands. They're professional, do excellent work, pay attention to the details, and are genuinely great to work with. HIs pricing was competitive but since he offered so much attention to detail, I didn't mind that he wasn't the cheapest. Also, John was very responsive via email. Again, no phone! AWESOME! I did not use a mat or soft wheel casters for my office chair, and so damaged laminate in one of my rooms, but even this took 8 years. All other rooms are still doing fine with some years left to go, with only the dining room showing some bubbling, which is fully expected for mid-range laminate installed almost a decade ago. They sent a estimator/warehouse manager to conduct the measurements, by the name of Braedon Buchanan. After he was completed taking the measurements (roughly 15 minutes), I was shown only three samples there weren't even close to the color I was seeking. I was informed by Braedon that it would take TWO days to draw up an estimate and we can discuss hardwood/baseboard coloring and type. It was been A MONTH now with no call backs, emails, or even we don't want your business. Based on these results that WERE NOT provided by the company or the estimator, I decided to allocate the $21k for my flooring replacement/project to a full window replacements for the entire property instead. We had to reselect tile because our original choice was not reserved. More disappointing was the debacle over a color LED light installation. We pushed back on the price quoted and we were advised by our salesman that he would try to come back with a better rate, that we had time. We addressed it again at the time of the pool refill and were told that the light was on backorder, to expect a four week wait (backorder). Five weeks later, no light. We were told that it still wasn't available and that they wouldn't install one readily available from a pool supply store. I was even warned about our warranty if someone were to drain the pool. I thought that wasn't necessary? So we are stuck and will have to install it next season. We really wanted the final look this year! Micromanage your tile and make sure that everything that you want is in writing as they will live up to that.

We purchased handmade zellige tiles for the backsplash, which means that each tile was unique and irregular. We also purchased star + cross cement tiles, which are complicated to install compared to square or rectangle tile. Romanos team did a beautiful job of measuring and installing the tiles, and they look so great and add so much character to our space!
