It starts off with the front attendant spraying down your car before the wash and right after the wash another attendant wipes down your car. CleanWave also has 8 vacuum stations afterwards that you can use! The vacuum is $1 for 4 min. You can even just park and vacuum without using the car wash. They also have an Auto Detailing vending machine if you want to get any extra goodies or supplies to clean! I appreciate the staff, the service, and the quick clean wash here! read more

I had a terrible experience with CleanWave Car Wash in Goleta. Their machine damaged my tires during a wash, and at first the staff acknowledged the issue and told me they would cover the cost of the damage. After many failed attemps to contact the manager, I was utlimately told they would not be covering the cost as promised. Now I can't get ahold of anyone as voice mailbox is always "full" and emails go unanswered. Extremely frustrating and disappointing customer service, especially after admitting responsibility in the beginning. I would strongly recommend taking photos of your vehicle before entering this wash and being cautious if any damage occurs, because getting resolution afterward has been nearly impossible. I will be pursuing legal action. read more

DO NOT GO HERE - Car Wash Damaged My Vehicle and Staff Was Shockingly Rude I had an awful and infuriating experience at Clean Wave Car Wash at 42 N. Fairview Ave in Goleta. On April 16, 2025, their wheel-washing mechanism damaged my rear passenger wheel and tire, causing my vehicle to lurch sideways during the wash and strike part of the machinery. I immediately reported the damage. The manager on site, Luis, had me take a photo of their property damage claim form and assured me the owner would follow up. Weeks went by with no contact. When I finally got a call from a manager, I was stunned by how rude and dismissive he was. Not only did he refuse to take responsibility for the damage, but he also called me a liar and--unbelievably--told me to "bring your husband down, he'll understand this better." This level of sexism and unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable. Despite having: A receipt from the car wash A repair quote from a certified shop Photos clearly showing the damage ...they still refused to reimburse me. This is not just about poor customer service--it's about being treated with disrespect, disregard, and outright hostility. I expected accountability from a local business. Had my car washed today and won't return after spending $16, plus a $2 tip. My front and rear windows were dried with a filthy rag and I had to clean them when I got home. Also, the spray used to shine the tires was obviously empty because my tires are flat blackish/gray. Huge disappointment with this car wash! This customer did not get what they paid for. read more

I mentioned there are bugs all over the front of my car so the guy said he would spray a special bug spray on the front which of course did nothing to scrub them off ! I left with the sides of my car completely filthy and the front covered with bugs only worse than when I arrived because the spray wax sealed in all the filth and bugs. Total waste if $15! read more

Usually when you buy a car wash they're supposed to give you tokens but the last few times I went there wasn't an attendee there so I couldn't vaccum my car. Had been on a road trip so decided to make a stop here to clean up my car after it had so many insect guts all over. Got the $15 car wash, which is their highest tier for their express wash. While going through I was surprised at how many rinses I was getting and I liked that! However my front car plate got dented! It was very disappointing and not all the insect guts got cleaned up although it did a pretty okay job removing some of them. Finding a decent automatic car wash in the vicinity of Santa Barbara is like finding a needle in a haystack. I would often drive a half an hour north to Buellton since we were lacking here. While I know the weather is beautiful most days of the year, I'm not one to want to hand wash my own car. Nope. Not happening. CleanWave Car Wash has given the previously Fairview Car Wash a much needed facelift. They have an automatic car wash that allows you to choose from three different washes (ranging in cost from $10-$15). There is an assistant to answer any questions and give you a token for the vacuums that allots a 4-minute time frame, so I recommend taking your floor mats out first. An employee pre-washes your car (similar to the Turnpike Shell Station) and then a second worker does a quick dry with microfiber towels as you exit the automated blow dryer. There are tons of self-serve car vacuums with floor mat clips. Not to mention, they are available 24/7! I was also stoked to see that they fill propane tanks here (as of 08/2020 it was $2.99 a gallon). I no longer have to drive to the U-Haul on State and Modoc to avoid exchanging my brand new propane tanks. It can often be a rip off to exchange propane tanks. Given this wash is new and if you live nearby, keep your eyes out for occasional coupons in the mail. Or if you own a local Axxess card, they have their best automatic car wash option for $5 off ($10 total, versus $15). I sure love a good deal--oh and a clean, dust-free car! read more

It had always been a solid, affordable spot for a full-service wash. The place had been fully remodeled only a year or two ago. When I saw that it had transitioned to drive-thru only, I was confused but figured I'd still give 'em a go as it was under the same ownership. There is only one active bay rather than the original four. Drive in, select the wash, pay, and then proceed. I had a discount code which I had used. The wash itself appears to be the same as before, and I noticed a few of the long-term staff working here, too. That put me at ease. The bath was effective and my truck looked great afterward. I was even given a token to use on their self-serve vacuums which I certainly took advantage of. If I'm in need of a full-service wash, I will likely go to Wash N' Go (hand wash, same ownership). I do like the exterior quick wipe down from the attendant. They do seem to have a good vacuum system in place for you to self vacuum. The glowing reviews seem to be outdated, or at least were not my experience. The attendant at the beginning does not scrub down the car as at the Turnpike car wash - just sprays the tires. The attendant at the end wiped down part of my car and a few of the windows - leaving spots on the rest of the car. There were no tokens handed out for vacuuming, and I didn't have quarters, so I didn't try that feature. There is no longer an Axxess deal, either. All in all, Turnpike is less expensive and a better wash. I won't be returning to Cleanwave. read more

Such a disappointment. The person greeting us was great guiding us onto the track. I didn't understand the purpose of the squirt he did on my vehicle. My small vehicle was dirty with pollen but is washed weekly elsewhere. $15 for the tsunami and the worker at the end dried off my left rear view mirror and a couple swipes on the hood. Pulled over by the the gas station to dry off my vehicle after leaving a two dollar tip. I was so shocked at how filthy my car was and felt like I just threw $17 in the trash. For the work the two employees did I regret leaving a tip. Super bummed to see how badly this place I used to frequent has gone so downhill. I should have taken pictures but was in a rush. I've been coming here for years and have noticed a big change since Covid and since the place changed hands. The guys at the entrance used to take care to blast the hood and windshield with a strong jet of water and seemed to notice those areas that needed an extra burst from the nozzle. Now they just sort of wave the nozzle at the front of the car with no particular focus. Got an especially perfunctory dry off at the other end today. I came here to have my car washed before I left town for a business trip. I paid $15. When I tried calling the businesswoman let them know my Vehicle was still dirty,, no one answered the phone. I tried three different times. I had to bring my car back when I returned to town. The two men that are working there can barely speak English. Especially the one at the other side who wipes your window after you come out of the car wash. He is very rude and said he did not speak English.
