I had two cars washed by Guillermo/Nova Spa (and his partner/helper, whose name I don't know) for…read morethe first time, and both ended up damaged in the process. Guillermo won't own up to either. One car is only 4 months old and was being washed for the first time. It ended up with a ding on the trunk, most likely from the end of a hose or something else hard being knocked against it. The other has a large scratch across the passenger door handle, which Guillermo informed me "looks like nails scratches." Even setting aside the damage, the cars simply were not cleaned well. There were spots and smudges all over one car, and an obvious spill on the center console of the other was left untouched. Needless to say, I won't be using him again. I wouldn't trust Guillermo to wash a bicycle again, let alone a car. If you care about your cars, I suggest you stay away from him as well. Edit to respond to the lying business owner: I do know for sure, and I'm helping people avoid what happened to me. Own up to your mistake if you don't want me to tell people to stay away from you. I wouldn't have a problem with you if you took responsibility.

After many failed attemps to contact the manager, I was utlimately told they would not be covering the cost as promised. Now I can't get ahold of anyone as voice mailbox is always "full" and emails go unanswered. Extremely frustrating and disappointing customer service, especially after admitting responsibility in the beginning. I would strongly recommend taking photos of your vehicle before entering this wash and being cautious if any damage occurs, because getting resolution afterward has been nearly impossible. I will be pursuing legal action.

There is a shop I used to use all the time for the twenty years I lived here, but they were booked and apparently years of being a customer didn't count for anything. Finally someone recommended this Chevron, saying they were competent and honest. I called and spoke to Brian who made an appointment for me to come in; I explained the problem and I noticed he had my hood up and was evaluating my issue before my ride picked me up to go to work (within 10 minutes). Two hours later, Brian called and had fixed the problem. I have a few miles on all of my cars and if I ever have trouble again while In Santa Barbara, this Chevron on Fairview will be my "go-to" stop. I hadn't had a detail in a decade and it was just filthy inside and out. It's a NEW car, minus the dent I need to have vacuumed or sucked out and the driver's seat. Saab leather cracks sooner than other brands. My Nissan Pathfinder LE (1998) lasted much longer. I took a video but will get pictures later and upload to phone. I cannot believe the ceiling. Like no one ever smoked! It's shiny, shiny, shiny. They did the interior and exterior, plus engine. Elite detailing isn't cheap but if , like me, you paid cash for your used car and have no payments, who cares? It's like a couple months car payment or so. Do yourself a favor and call for a quote. The website has no prices but they also do ceramic coating, with several tiers of packages. You can do a mini-detail or just regular car wash but if you leave the car with them for a day, they will give you a NEW CAR back at the day's end. I'm still on Cloud 9. Floating! Every time I see my baby, I smile! PS. THE SB INDEPENDENT BEST OF LIST IS HORRIBLE. The best acupuncturist, not just in SB but California, is Anthony Kar. He's probably the best in America. He wasn't on the list. My friend, Evan Schoolnik Berger, has a food tour company that didn't make the list. My chiropractor and gym made it. Barry Family Chiro and SBAC/SWELL are the best in town. But David's shop should have made the list.

I confronted David about it and ofc denied it. After taking it home for the first car wash they missed multiple spots with the ceramic coat. Again confronted David and said that's not possible. After showing a video clearly showing it wasn't ceramic coated. Finally agreed to fix it. After that I got a new part added and wanted it coated and paint corrected as well. I paid $300 for that part and the original missing panels to my surprise issues weren't done as promised. After going back the 3rd time. I dropped it off for the whole day then didn't touch the car at all. Wasted my time. 4th time same thing. Finally after the 5th visit it finally gets done after being pushed off for days up to two weeks. If you care about your car and wanted to get the service and respect you deserve. DO NOT GO HERE. I reached out to Tye at Ally Detail for an internal detailing and he was extremely quick to respond, professional, and kind. He made the process so easy - I simply dropped off my car at 11:30am and it was ready by 3:00pm! When I got back to pick up my car, it was beautiful. Dog hair was gone, stain on the front passenger seat was gone, and he went above and beyond to trim my car's mats to fit properly on the floor. I first need to note that I am VERY picky when it comes to these types of services and I have had bad experiences in the past where I have paid a lot of money for so-so service but I finally found a place that does great work and totally worth the money that I paid.
