I love Clear Aesthetics! When I scheduled a facial for the first time, I not only loved the intake form, but also saw how serious Annie took the intake form. I've only gotten a total of 3 facials in my life so far, so when I was searching for my 4th one, I did a thorough job of going over reviews, prices, and deals in DC, MD, and NY. I finally decided on Annie's out of convenience and because she had the best prices ($58-70). The day before my appointment, I saw she introduced a Yelp deal ($50 for $70 worth of services) so I grabbed it up and was able to upgrade the facial. I was Annie's last appointment for the day and I arrived 10 minutes late. Despite all that, she took her time on my facial. She started off by looking at my skin and noted that I wasn't acne-prone but I have oily skin. She didn't say anything as she worked which I love whenever I get treatments so I can just enjoy the experience and relax. (I can't stand chatty therapists, especially masseuses.) Here are all the other points as to why I absolutely loved my facial with Annie: 1) Painless extractions 2) The steam is gentle and not overwhelming 3) She uses a vacuum that sucks up all the dirt and grime from clogged pores (my problem area was my t-zone) 4) She moisturizes your hands 5) She throws in really nice massages for the hands, arms, shoulders, neck, and head 6) I could see a HUGE difference with my skin afterwards 7) She didn't try to push any expensive products and regimens on me 8) It's been over 24 hours and I haven't had any breakouts as a result of the facial (normal but not preferred) read more

Just got back from a facial with Annie and I have to say, I agree with all the other yelpers.. definitely a relaxing experience. I went in for the special GM Collin facial for 60 minutes and she did spend the right amount of time with me - not under like a lot of other places. I also observed that she duly went over ALL the steps listed in the facial pamphlet, which again, speaks to her professionalism. Her little room is cute and the ambiance, though not fancy is definitely relaxing. She also has a very professional touch, which means that I was never in pain, not even during the extractions, the pressure on my face was enough and she was careful enough to not stuff my nose with cream by being heavy handed (trust me, I've had those before). She did show my a few products she thought I should use, but did not pressure me into buying them. She was also not very talkative, but focused on her job.. and that vacuum.. that little sucker.. is a pieceof art! ALL Black Heads and White Heads are not Go Went Gone!! This place has so many 5 star reviews I wasn't sure they were real but I took the chance and booked a combo package for massage and facial. WOW. This place is awesome. It doesn't have that snooty atmosphere like some spas and the employees seemed to love their jobs and they were super nice. I was finally able to get an appointment for my husband and I we had a certificate for couples package but they could not have the same service done at the same time for that particular time so we ended up getting different services done, but at the same time in the same room. The receptionist was rude to us, very rude, but at the end of the appointment she was nicer to us. The place is small but very clean, the bathroom needs some updating. The service was nice over all. My husband facial in his words was nice, 1h facial with Tina. He said the massage was okay. For me was totally opposite my massage was very good but the facial was less that okay unfortunately it was not done by Tina it was done by someone else. Seriously LOVE. I had never gotten a facial before coming to see Annie. The first time I went, I was nervous as all get-out. Everyone I'd talked to about getting a facial was like, "All I know is you're going to leave with huge-looking pores and red face!" My first visit was to her old location. I was sitting in this dumpy Asian hair salon, not even sure if I was in the right location. I felt out of place and almost left before my appointment even started. Annie came out and was very sweet. She walked me back to the "spa" room and it was tiny and cramped. It may have even been a closet at some point, but the music and lighting were relaxing. It was very strange to have someone touching my face. Like I said, I've never had a facial before! I had a hard time relaxing at first, but in the end my skin looked AMAZING. It was bright and luminous and I couldn't stop looking at it. I've really never seen it look so good. For the record, not red at all. I went back about 6 months later and thankfully Annie had moved into her own place in the building next door. The ambiance is GREATLY improved. I think it can now officially be called a spa. The back room is calming and much larger than the previous location. I was relaxed from the moment I went in. This time she encouraged me to buy a different eye cream because the one I was using wasn't "anti-aging." When I went in to Target looking for product, one of the ladies working in the cosmetics department was like, "Your skin is amazing! Why do you need product?!?!" Totally justified every trip I've taken here. Annie is fantastic. She is extremely sweet, she knows what she's doing and she doesn't pressure you into buying the products that she has available. I found this spa while trying to use a SpaFinder gift certificate given to me as a Christmas present. My first appointment was with Annie and she was wonderful. She addressed all my concerns and suggested a new regimen for my skin. As other reviews noted, she didn't force a sale. I asked for a recommendation and she kindly made her suggestions. My second appointment was with Ari who I have been seing every month since then. The acne facial includes exfoliation, steam, extractions, and a cooling mask. She also performs a lot of facial and scalp massage which is a HUGE bonus. The extractions are not-so-relaxing part of the procedure, but the scalp and neck massage combined with the atmosphere make up for it. Ari always addresses all my concerns and suggested tweaks to my skin routine. The spa uses and sells GM Collin products. What turned me into a regular was the ratio of quality to price. He is really soft spoken, attentive and amazing with his hands. He was constantly checking up on me to see if the pressure was too heavy or too soft. He is definitely gifted! Greatest facial ever! I've had only one other facial to compare to this and I thought that, THAT was what a facial was supposed to be like, but this facial was far better. Don't let the outside fool you and the sketch-like location. It may not look like much of a luxarious place to go to get a facial, but if thats what your looking for go to Red Door! If you want to go to a place for a quality facial, go here! Annie is a nice and kind person. She cleaned my pores and reduced my chances of creating more acne. She started out with shaping my eyebrows and then starting the facial process. Midway through she moisturized my arm and hands, massaged them and putting them in heater gloves (just imagine a heating blanket but in glove form). Then she continues with facial process, put on the steamer to open up the pores, did a facial massage. Went on with the many layers of stuff she put on, and gave me a scalp massage as well. Then she took off the heater gloves and made a mask to put on me. After some time she peeled off the mask and it felt quite refreshing. When your done, your face should feel clean and refreshed. Unlike the other facial I had, I felt like all the gunk that was put on my face afterwards was going to clog up my pores instead of clean them, or moisturize or whatever. Well DEFINITELY come back again, maybe for the Sea C spa facial. and definately try out one of her massages as well. read more

I had some blemishes and inflammation near my nose prior to my appointment with Annie. I can report that the very next day all of my blemishes and inflammation were gone. My boyfriend made me an appt at this spa for a 1 hr peppermint facial, 15 min scalp massage and a 1 hr hot stone massage for my birthday. I arrived 20 mins prior to my appt and they were able to take me right away. I filled out my questionaire form and then was led to the facial/massage room by Annie. She instructed me to get undress to what I was comfortable to or wear a strapless towel that she provided. Annie inspected my face and notcied it was very dry. I had wrote on my form that I have eczema and she could see it too. She was very careful while doing my facial. It was amazing. She applied many products on my face, I throughly enjoyed the peppermint mask. She even massaged my arms and hands and placed my hands in heated mittens; leaving them extra soft. My face felt and looked AMAZING! Best facial I've had so far. Margie gave me my hot stone massage. This was the first time I've ever had a hot stone massage. It was wonderful. The pressure was on point. I ended up falling alseep. Great little spa with very nice people. Can't wait to go back! read more

This was my first facial and it went great! I got an acne facial from Annie and I really enjoyed it. I was worried about the extractions, and it did hurt, but it was bearable. My husband found this place on yelp and we decided to buy a big gift card for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. She invited me to come with her to come have deep tissue massages, and I jumped at the chance! My MIL is awesome. :) It's a little tricky to find this place--u-turns, then it's in the back of a complex that looks like small condos/townhouses with odd numbering. We were a few minutes late, but they were very accommodating, Annie and Sarah immediately putting us both at ease. The spa is small, but very pleasant and welcoming. They offered us the choice of a shared room or separate rooms. I prefer to be in my own room (who wants to listen to me moaning and grunting? :) and they took excellent care of us. Sarah had a very gentle, but firm touch, used a cream that had a very light, woodsy scent (can't stand the chocolatey or heavy perfumey creams) and spent extra time working on my long-time hip issues, which was so appreciated, since hips/glutes often get ignored during massage, in my experience. She topped off the fabulous massage with a wonderful scalp massage, which was heaven! Best of all is that she's not a talker. Some folks like to chat through their massage; I don't, and Sarah seemed to get this, keeping conversation to a minimum. I was a bit skeptical that my MIL would do okay with a deep tissue massage at her age (great shape, but no spring chicken), but when we came out, she was glowing and said that Annie was excellent, and helped her leg lymphoedema a great deal. Annie's English wasn't fluent, so they used body diagrams to pinpoint the specific areas where she wanted extra work done, and my MIL was very happy. We're looking forward to going back for our GM Collin facials, and I'll definitely be seeing Sarah again for another massage. read more

The heated bed was an unexpected luxury for me. Samantha did an amazing job - I stopped counting how many lovely serums and creams she massaged on my face, neck and hands. I was nervous about the extractions (being a first timer), but it was minimally uncomfortable. I nearly fell asleep on more than one occasion... I got the one hour relaxation massage and the one hour bioorganic facial with 10 minute scalp massage added on and it was amazing. Annie and her staff were professional and kind, the environment was comfortable, inviting and soothing and all of the products used were top quality. Another thing I was really impressed with were the options for services that Annie offers as well as the ability to customize to your particular needs. I loved the intake forms that I filled out because Annie and my masseuse were able to then customize my massage and facial to help me. I get a lot of massages. I've had amazing sessions and I've had underwhelming sessions. My session at Annie's was underwhelming. First, the massage table's head rest was extremely uncomfortable. Whatever fabric it was covered in was extremely itchy and dried out my face. Secondly, it's common for massage therapists to ask "what you like like me to focus on today?" However, the answer to this inquiry doesn't mean "these are the only places that I will massage". My thighs, quads and glutes were completely untouched during an "80" minute massage. Lastly, this 80 minutes was really closer to 60. Part of this I own, as I showed up exactly at my appointment time and needed to fill out the paperwork. However, the place was empty and there wasn't a customer after me. They could have very easily given me the 10 minutes that I paid for. What also ate away time was the fact the Margie so often stepped away from the table. Of course this is necessary to grab products but more times than not, it sounded as though she was grabbing tissues. This made the massage session feel really staccato. Hearing the vibration of her phone was not helpful either. Perhaps facials are their strength here. I will not be returning for massage. read more

Wish I could give negative stars for this place. I went twice during business business hours and both times the place was closed. Once an hour after opening and another 90 minutes before close. I called the number on the website and got no response. I wanted to come here for a 30 minute message and try it out before giving my girlfriend a gift certificate from this place but instead wasted my time on 2 different days. A women finally called back stating because they had no appointments, they weren't open. If that's the case, what's the point of your store hours? Just went today for a GM Collin facial for myself and a Collagen facial and Stress Relief massage for my mom. Annie and Samantha are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I had Samantha for my GM Collin facial for 75 mins. She slathered product after endless product on me (mostly smelling like lavender) and the service included a lot of extras like an eye treatment, arm/neck/shoulder/scalp massage, and a moisturizing arm treatment with heated gloves. Samantha's fingers felt amazing - very soft, gentle, but firm when it counted. There were a few extractions and a vacuum/suction thingie that I'm guessing was to clean out my pores. I could've used a few more extractions, but overall the facial was very relaxing and pleasant. I fell asleep at one point and had a nice little nap. My mom said she enjoyed her massage as well and it helped ease her soreness. Annie eased off on the pressure when my mom said her shoulder hurt. She also enjoyed her facial. We both walked out with very smooth moisturized faces and relaxed bodies :) They also gave us some samples of the products they had used and stated that they had them for purchase also but I didn't feel pressured into buying anything right then. I also said that I noticed that if we book online we would get 15% off but that it wasn't working when I tried it - Annie was nice enough to give me 15% off of my facial anyway - something I think makes a HUGE favorable impression on a first time customer. I've been coming here for the past few years, and I'm always greeted warmly by Annie and the staff. Parking here is easy and the space is clean. In 2016, all my massage appointments were with Margie. She's always so friendly, asks me what areas I'd like her to focus on, and checks on my comfort pressure. After appointments, she tells me what areas were stiff and recommends ways I can stretch/avoid it. I come here a few times a year, and I've always had a good experience. I come here for facials and massages, and they're both fantastic! Very pleasant and kind staff who are always more than willing to help you. I recently got a facial with Ari, and she was wonderful! She is so gentle with your skin that I fell asleep getting my facial with her. She asked me if I had any concerns with my skin and since I went in the winter, I told her my face felt so dry. She gave me recommendations to keep my face hydrated throughout the winter. I've gotten several massages from Margie, and she is so great! She knows my problem areas and works to knead out all the knots in my back. She also explains why my back is so stiff and recommends stretches to lessen the tension. I go to Margie almost 1-2 times a month and she knows which part of my back to focus on. She also always asks if there are any other areas that are bothering me, and then she makes sure she has enough time to focus on other areas too. Got a spa package from here from my husband for Christmas. He got me a Christmas package including a facial, hand and foot treatment, scalp massage and eyebrow cleanup. I had never gotten a facial before so i was looking forward to that experience. First off, the location is a bit odd. The woman on the phone had told me it was in the back of the building and I still managed to get confused when I got there. Anyway it seemed very quiet and not busy when I got there but I think that is part of the spa/relaxation feel. You don't feel rushed or bothered by people. It was nice. :) My facial was fabulous as well! I was a bit antsy at first and had trouble relaxing but once my scalp massage happened, I was in heaven. My husband bought me a gift certificate for $120 about a year and a half ago as a Christmas present. I went to go use it only to be told that all gift certificates expire after a year. I could not find the actual certificate itself. My husband emailed me his receipt which had absolutely zero information on it about an expiration date. I looked on their gift certificate page and again, absolutely zero information about an expiration date. When I called, I was told that the information was printed on the certificate itself. My biggest problem with that being the case is that a gift certificate is essentially a contract and it is unconscionable to change terms after the contract has been agreed to and money has changed hands. Each party should be up front about their terms and it should be crystal clear before money has exchanged hands. Nothing about the expiration of the certificate is presented up front as it would have impacted his decision to buy it for me. When contacted, the company attempted to frame this as it being their right to keep my money because I hadn't caught this policy that was in a non-obvious place (which definitely was not on their gift certificate page). While they were nothing but polite on the phone, they also showed that they absolutely did not care about taking my money without providing any service and were completely fine with keeping our money. They have left us with zero recourse and our wallets $120 lighter. I would advise you to think twice about spending your money with someone who operates in this manner. read more
