This was my first experience getting a facial and I was very impressed. I felt the prices were reasonable and was also so happy with the hygiene of the staff and facility (from routine hand washing to spotless floors). It was really easy to make an appointment, the staff/estheticians (I saw Nhan) were very kind and explained everything, and took the time to understand my skincare needs. I even got an email afterward recommending some products based on my treatment. On top of all of this, the experience was extremely relaxing and was a perfect treat after a stressful holiday season! As a new mom, I wanted to take Valentine's Day to treat myself. After reading rave reviews, I decided to try out Little Oasis Spa, as it was close to where I would be staying for the weekend. I booked back-to-back appointments -- first an hour massage with Thea and then an hour facial with Nhan. The location itself is quaint. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the relaxing waiting room -- literally, a little oasis. As a new customer, I filled out paperwork, and then I was led to the back to start my first session. I told Thea what my problem areas were, particularly carrying a baby only on one side, and she did an excellent job in relieving the pressure through massage. It was firm but not painful and most of all relaxing. I was given a robe and slippers to transfer rooms to my facial session. Once there, Nhan explained to me what the current status of my skin was and things I can do to improve it, which was exactly the type of expertise I need(ed). Upon leaving, my face was glowing. Nhan even sent me a follow-up email with recommendations of things I can do to ramp up my skincare routine, which is something I asked her about during my session. For both the massage and facial, my total was $275, but I was so happy with my experience. For me, it's a splurge, but I can't wait to do it again! read more

I've been to Nhan 3 times: once in January 2020 (pre-pandemic) and twice in 2021. She has upgraded her safety and sanitization processes that make Little Oasis Spa one of my favorite businesses to visit during this time. Nhan is the love in a hopeless place in my skin's life. Let me tell ya.... my skin has not been this calm since my crazy cystic acne flared up about a year ago. I've been battling cystic acne for awhile and I didn't really make it a priority to seek professional help until this summer when I made it my mission to get rid of my adult acne! My dermatologist helps clear out my pores and Nhan helps with protecting my skin barrier and other preventative measures. On my first visit, she also showed me all the freckles and marks I had beneath the surface under a black light. So cool! I've been to another place where I couldn't relax and it's different with Nhan. I've come close to falling asleep a couple of visits because it's so relaxing and you leave here glowing! I was dealing with some breakouts, so in my quest to fix my skin before my wedding, I wanted to get a body treatment. So, I looked all around the Bethesda area for the best spa. This place had great reviews and an easy to use website, so I made an appointment for an antioxidant treatment. Given my paranoia around cbd products (I know it's unfounded but my workplace has lots of random tests), I called to confirm the ingredients of my treatment. The person who answered the phone was very friendly, found my appointment, confirmed the cbd-free-ness of my treatment, and let me know that treatments were customize-able to each client's preference. When I arrived this morning for my treatment, i found a very clean, brightly lit facility and very friendly esthetician who led me to the room. This was one of the most calming hours of my life. One of my fellow yelpers tells me to remember what a 5 star experience is whenever I rate one. This was definitely one. Half treatment, half massage, totally relaxing and pleasant. Nhan is AMAZING! I used to go to Little Oasis Spa for a regular facial every month while I was in grad school. I have an acne-prone, extremely sensitive skin. Nhan analyzed my skin on the first day and customized the facials every time to meet my needs. The products she uses and the way she applies the facials is VERY FAR from irritating. She makes sure that no additional irritations are caused on the skin to worsen whatever condition I have. The spa is located in a small home, which makes you feel super comfortable and I think I even fell asleep a few times I was there. She is also very knowledgeable, so she will give advice on which products to use on the first day you are there. You can talk about any concerns you have with your skin! I went here on a Groupon and wasn't sure what to expect. I left very impressed by Nhan's work. She's very thorough in her skin assessment and has a great, energetic manner. What I really like is that she puts a lot of thought into the products she uses but does NOT come in with the hard sell on things, which has been my experience with almost every other facial I've had. If the product really works, believe me, I'll be coming back and asking if I can buy it. Also, I like that I leave without my face being a grease-fest that ends up breaking out the next day -- I've always felt that "oh, it's just your skin working itself out" bit was pretty bogus, as in my experience products that really work work quickly. The space is nice and peaceful, very clean. I've been back once already, and I'll look forward to coming here in nicer weather when I can spend some time outside in the lovely garden. Awww...I wish I didn't look under the skin scanner! It's one thing when someone tells you what they see and another when you see for yourself. All I saw were clogged pores, sun spots, and dead skin cells. At first I didn't know what I was looking at since all I saw were colors all over my face through the mirror within the scanner. Nhan took her time to explain what each color meant but I wasn't sure I wanted to know. Fortunately, the facial was relaxing. My skin looks much better when she was done. I don't know why I waited this long to write a review for Nhan. Probably because I'm selfish and scared that everyone will start going to her and I will no longer be able to get an appointment. Just kidding, Nhan is so sweet she would make sure her loyal customers still get their time. Anyway, I've been going to Nhan for about the past year since I found out I was pregnant and going all the way to Vienna to see my friend/esthetician was becoming tired and inconvenient. Nhan's spa is actually a space out her home made specifically for clients - separate entrance and separate bathroom. On my first visit, Nhan used a scanner to analyze my skin (let's not talk about it...) and develop a skincare routine for me from there. Because of Nhan, my skin throughout my pregnancy looked the best it's ever looked - clear, no breakouts, no oiliness, etc. She makes your time with her so relaxing; even post-pregnancy, I can't help but to sneak in a nap each visit! Little Oasis Spa is my recent found gem! I have never had the courage to get a facial due to my skin being super sensitive and other horror sanitary stories. But a close friend of mine recommended Little Oasis and boyyy...did they change my whole perspective on facials/massages! As soon as you walk through the door, you're instantly struck with how clean everything looks/smells! I was nicely greeted by Nhan (owner) and Thao (my facial message therapist) before they prepared me for the facial. Thao is beyond amazing from the beginning to the very end! To start, she would ask if I have any problem/sensitive areas on my face or if there were any specific areas I would like for her to focus on so that she could customize the facial to my needs/wants, which I really appreciate! She would go over step by step on what she will be doing during the facial, this way I'd know what to expect. During the facial, you can certainly tell Thao took her time in cleaning and executing each facial procedures thoroughly. Her pressure for the arms, shoulders, neck, and head massages were perfect - what an added bonus! It was honestly so relaxing that I didn't even know when I fell asleep. The combination of all the gentle products she used left my skin feeling refreshed, soft, and glowing!
