Due for my usual registration Star certified smog test and came here like I did last. Came here during my 1hr lunch which is two exits away from off the freeway. There was another car in the bay and I waited til he was done. I was greeted by Mark and he had me pull into the bay. Provided my dmv form as I should along with their smog special coupon. Which Mark honored my coupon and I didn't have to have him explain the cost. The whole total was expected since my car is an older model. The waiting area isn't the best looking but it's fine for an auto shop. And I didn't have to stay too long. The job was done quick and easy. Was done and got back to work with time to spare. Overall, customer service and car service was a passing A++++. read more

Ugh yeah read the negative reviews they're true. Tried to charge me an extra $20 for it to be "star certified" this is after I had to go home because he said I needed a DMV paper to scan which isn't true. He could have looked up the VIN etc. very shady. I'm not paying $90 when I could go across the street (thankfully to bestech smog) super quick and nice service here and walked out only paying $64!! You've been warned! Also the times are BS they say they open at 8am but he doesn't show up till 9 ish. Makes you wait 20 min while he's doing something. Very odd read more

I had my plug-in hybrid smog checked on May 15. Clear Blue was efficient and provided quality service. I was kept very informed the cost estimate ahead of proceeding to test, on the testing processes, and the outcome of the test. Clear Blue clearly explained what paperwork was already transmitted to DMV vs what was needed for getting the tag from AAA. Comfortable seating adjacent to the testing area was nice and shaded on a fairly warm day. The process maybe took 15 min in total. I was fortunate that there was no other customer was getting their car tested so I was able to drive right into the testing bay. This is my 3rd time getting my car smog tested at Clear Blue. Please consider when your vehicle needs to be assessed. read more

The pricing is a little confusing for me because I assumed smog always needed to be star certified so instead of it being built into the pricing it's an add on charge. Quick and easy. Well... (quick) if you are there when no one else is there and (easy) don't have any failures. The tester here was pretty quick and knowledgeable for what they needed to test on. I was there and two people were in front of me. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The straight pricing is a little high compared to other places, but if you go to their website and print out their coupon, you've got a cheaper test and certificate than anyone else. I'm new to the area and the guy was friendly but not as friendly with the person before me. They talked about their life plans and you could tell they were a regular. Ultimately, I'll be coming here to do everything and then go across the street to get my registration complete at AAA. read more
