I was skeptical, but they were correct. You do not need an appointment to come here. They claim to have multiple bays operating, but the day I came, there was just one technician. I did not have to wait, but the customers after me did. This station is star certified. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but sometimes the DMV requires you to use star certification only. This business probably won't win the top award for friendliness. The technician who helped me never cracked a smile once. To be fair, he was competent at his job. I guess competence is better than friendliness. This business sends out coupons that save you $30. It's reasonably priced with the coupon, not so much without the coupon. Quick no nonsense service the lady was helpful honest everything went well in 10 minutes

When I've needed a smog check, this is the place I go to as they can be efficient and you are out fast. They say 15-20 min and it is. They aren't into customer service and often you may feel yelled at as the noise in there can be loud. Loud from the fan or machinery but they can be quite gruff. I don't know if I can get'em to crack a smile. I do know the smog check will get done. Even with a car I had sitting around for months. We got it done. That's all that mattered with this situation. If you go early which is what I like to do and no car is in the shop, pull your car up to the open doorway to the left. I learned if you park it to the side, he'll yell at you to bring it in. Needed a quick smog check this morning so I thought I would try this place out. I parked my vehicle just in front of the shop and walked in to see if they would accept a walk in. As I approached the grouchy overweight employee with a big beard, I am immediately confronted by the man. He shouts "pull your vehicle around and park on the side!" I said "Ok, are you a little backed up?" He replies "pull your vehicle around to the side!" I said ok and pulled my car to the shop across the street offering the same services (Bestech). Much nicer people there. What an incredibly rude employee they have dealing with the customers. Try the place next door people. So the prices have gone up here. But at least for me, you get what you pay for. What an absolute cluster F^$&! For this smog check on this car... I went to over 6 places. OMG! One of those 6+ times was at this shop and my car didn't pass, not their fault. It was my car. Well, after I made the repairs, I couldn't find any more of the cheap coupons for this please. Instead, I found some coupons for some of the competitors. Well, that was a big mistake! I wish I had just come back here! Competitor 1: They close at 6, but they turn cars away after 5:00. I wish I had known that, it would have saved me an hour of my life and $6 in gas. Competitor 2: Stalled my car on the dyno while smogging, They could not stabilize the car at the various speeds to finish the smog check. The computer kicked him out. And he had to turn me away. Competitor 3: They immediately turn me away because they don't want to break my car. So I came back here. The 3rd shop of the day, and 3 times a charm right? I knew the tech here could stabilize the speed on the dyno, as I've seen him do it before with my car. I had to pay a bit more because their coupon prices have gone up. (That is the only reason why I even bothered looking around for other shops to being with.) Anyhow. I pull up, there is no wait. I fill out my paperwork. He pulls the car onto the dyno. I ask if there is a restroom on the side of the building. I go inside the gas station, get the key, use the restroom (under 2 minutes, incl washing my hands) I return the key, I walk back towards my car, and he is already done!!! I spent more time writing this review than the whole smog check took! The tech finished in maybe 5 minutes!!!! I'll come back here from now on, and won't bother with the other shops, and I'll be happy to pay a few more $, but please, PLEASE keep the prices at least close to the other shops in the area : ) Pretty please. No hidden fees, work was quick/professional & the tech (Joel) was AWESOME, friendly & even found a loose hose during testing that he notified me of & reattached, no additional charge... This guy is a complete jackass. I pulled up this morning to request a smog check for title transfer purposes and had to wait 5 minutes after him seeing me to even be acknowledged. I parked in front of one of the gas pumps with the intention of filling up prior to my smog check but wanted to talk to him first to secure a place in line since I was in a rush. He eventually looks at me again and says 'move your car over there' pointing to a parking spot adjacent to the lot and says nothing else. This business is lucky they have a highly visible store front but there are multiple other smog check stations with way better customer service and I do not recommend you waste your time here. read more
