After a particularly strong wind storm, we found ourselves with shingles all over the yard. Honestly, I'd have preferred they stayed on the roof. So we called out the insurance company to check things over. They approved replacement of a portion of the roof, sent us a check, and then promptly forgot about us. We got a couple of quotes to do the work suggested by the insurance company. The first company came out, said yeah sure we can do that for about the amount insurance is covering, and then left. Clear Choice Roofing was our second quote, and Rick told us that the insurance company was completely wrong about the work they approved. He suggested that our entire roof needed replacing, which would normally make me think that somebody was just trying to get a bigger job out of the deal, but he argued the point with very thorough detail and photographs that convinced me he was not trying to take me for a ride. Rick also said that we needed temporary repairs immediately to prevent damage from the rain expected over the next few days. By the end of the day, somebody from Clear Choice had stopped by to patch our roof up and left without asking for a single cent or even a hint of a promise that we might give them our business. Rick even asked to be put in contact with the insurance adjuster so that he could personally deal with what he thought was a sloppy inspection. What followed was several weeks of phone calls and faxes between the insurance company and Rick from Clear Choice. Rick was determined to make the insurance company see his side of things, even though we still hadn't signed any paperwork or promised the job to Clear Choice. In the end, I'm certain that Rick's expertise and eagerness to please us got us better coverage out of the insurance company, to the tune of an entirely new roof at no extra cost to us personally. His hard efforts and incredibly friendly manner also guaranteed our business. Once everything was hammered out, an installation appointment was set for only a few days out, and the workers arrived precisely on time. I wish I could say that they also had magical nails that didn't require hours of intense hammering, but they're just a really good roofing company-- not sorcerors. Regardless, they were done with the entire tear-down, rebuild, and thorough clean-up within one business day. We even got a pretty awesome free bonus: a couple days later I went out back to nail up a board that had fallen loose from my fence, only to find that the roofers randomly decided to nail it in for me (I assume-- nobody else has been in my backyard since the last time I saw the loose board). In all, Clear Choice was an excellent choice of roofing company that paid off in spades. I would use them a second time without hesitation, though I sincerely hope no storms take this roof apart. I needed my roof replaced so I contacted a number of companies, including Clear Choice, to receive quotes. I decided to go with Clear Choice and I'm very glad I did. My point of contact was Mike Ludlow. Mike contacted me promptly and scheduled a time to come look at the roof. He explained in detail the work that would be done, including a small request of mine. The work was scheduled, and the work was done on the scheduled date. Mike kept in communication the entire time, making sure everything was going well. I was very happy with the crew, they finished the job in a day and left the area around the house cleaner than when they had arrived. So the entire process went very well and was all you could hope for. But there's more to the story and is an example of going far above and beyond. We ran into a problem and this is where Clear Choice, and especially Mike, were outstanding. As it turned out we had problem with some shingles that were slightly off color, but definitely noticed it. We believed it to be a manufacturer's defect so Mike contacted an Owens-Corning rep right away to come and have a look. It was agreed that there was an issue so we filed a claim with Owens-Corning. The Owens-Corning claim process isn't exactly smooth, and a bit demanding. As an example they required shingles of the two different shades to be removed and shipped to them. Mike took care of this and had the shingles removed and shipped to Owens-Corning. They also required various pieces of documentation, some from me, some from Mike, and he was always quick to take care of it. The entire claim process took about 2 months and thankfully Mike was there the entire time. We communicated on at least a weekly basis on the status of the claim and what we could do to move it along, and it did take some prodding. Finally the claim was approved and a check issued for the work. If there was a higher grade I could give for Responsiveness and Professionalism then I surely would. And if I ever need another roof replaced I've got Mike on speed dial. Wouldn't call anyone else. read more

Ruben arrived on time, checked out the room with the leak and then thoroughly inspected the attic. He showed me some photos of a couple of potential problem spots, including a nail leak that was in the approximate location of the trouble area. After explaining everything about the attic inspection - including that we need more insulation - he got up on the roof and checked it out. He caulked and sealed various exposed nails and around box vents, plumbing vent and mechanical vent. He went over all of this with me and my husband and noted that we had some heat damage to decking and shingles that would benefit from installation of ridge type venting. Clear Choice Installed new chimney underlayment and flashing. Repaired eves and soffets. Provided and installed 2 each roof vent turbines. Cut limbs away from roof edge. Calked exposed roof nails. Installed water diverter. Wade responded to my inquiry right away and provided a bid the next day. He and his crew were on site the next day to begin work. Wade explained to me exactly what he was going to do before he did it and he did exactly what he said he was going to do. There was no room for confusion after he briefed me on the job. The work that he and his crew did solved a roof drainage issue for me that I had been having for some time. I had hired another contractor to fix the problem but that contractor only made it worse. Some good hard recent rains have tested out his workmanship and I haven't had one drop of leaking since. His work was outstanding and his price was very reasonable. He took progressive photos of the job from start to finish so I could see exactly what he did without having to be their on the job site. The photos were provided to me on a CD after the completion of the job. Post job cleanup was complete and thourough. He even offered to take away some debris that I had collected that had nothing to do with the work he was doing. And he ensured that all the nails were picked up on the ground beneath the work areas. In short I received exellent workmanship from a skilled craftsman at a reasonable price. I felt that I was getting more for my money throughout the entire process. Working with Clear Choice Roofing was awesome. My estimate contact was Mike, and he answered emails and texts at all times of the day or night, even though I never needed him to. He was concerned about service and they matched another company's pre-steel-tariff estimate after the tariffs were in place. They also assured me they knew how money would work through the insurance and mortgage companies before I even asked. They worked with me on my schedule, starting exactly when they said, and finishing at their earliest estimate. They even worked with my plumber to make sure some venting repairs could happen while the roof was being redone. And I have a beautiful copper colored metal roof now. Yay! Unexpectedly, both their bank and my bank changed their policies about three-party checks AND my insurance company dropped the ball twice on getting my claim money to me (apparently an employee left the insurance company and didn't poss their work off). Throughout all this, Clear Choice was polite and considerate about payment. Eventually, I had to meet Carrie at my bank to get the check deposited so I could pay them. It was messy, but they were always professional about it. If there was any thing I wish they'd done that they didn't do was to let me know that I'd be picking up bits of roof detritus for a while out of my yard. My father-in-law's roofing company in another town told him, "we're going to do our best to clean up everything, but you'll probably be picking up pieces that we missed for a while." I'm an English major, but I find it difficult to express in words the number of excellent things I want to say about this company. Everything, from the call I made to inquire about an estimate through the completion of the roof installation, was flawless. I hate to say that the service I received and the ethics demonstrated by this company were unexpected and unbelievable because all companies should operate this way; unfortunately, they do not. I called and left a message that I was interested in an estimate for my roof. Within two hours, Wade called me back to set up an appointment. He arrived promptly, did a close inspection, and told me that he would be happy to return to when I set up an appointment with my insurance adjuster. Without going into a lot of detail, I can say that I believe Wade's professional opinion about my damage had a lot to do with my insurance covering my claim. The materials were delivered promptly, the workmen were pleasant and professional, and the work was completed in less than two days. They moved porch furniture and cleaned up thoroughly. There was absolutely not one negative thing about the experience. I begin finding shingles in the yard and looked up to see where they came from. I also noticed large areas where shingles were loose and had moved. I called Clear Choice Roofing to come and give an estimate for repair. Clear Choice came by to look at the roof and while he was inspecting it, more damage was found. His recommendation was to have an adjuster from my insurance company come out and look at the roof. There was enough damage on the roof that the insurance company might just pay for the replacement. Sure enough the adjuster came out and met with the Clear Choice representative, and the insurance company decided to pay for the roof replacement. The roof did not have ridge vents and gutter guards but the Clear Choice representative was very helpful in giving me the costs and requirements to install these components while the shingle replacement was going on. The work was done in a little over 2 days and the roof looks excellent. After the work was complete, Clear Choice power washed the drive way to remove tire tracks from their equipment and replaced a piece of gutter that was damaged during the work. The yards was clean from debris and nails and I have not found any nails yet. This group was extremely professional and very courteous. I was traveling during the whole replacement but Clear Choice took pictures of the work and the materials for my records so I could see what work was done. I am a real estate broker and investor with a number of rental properties. I have used Clear Choice three times now - twice for repairs (once for a client and once on a rental property of mine) and most recently for a re-roof following a hail storm. I have no affiliation with their company but I am happy to say they are "my" roofer and the first company I will call in the future. On the repairs, they were the only reputable company I could find that was willing to come out following a windstorm and do a relatively minor repair - the others said they were too busy unless my client was willing to replace the entire roof! Gavin came out the next day, gave a reasonable estimate, and had the repair done that week so that we could close the sale on time. On the most recent job (the complete re-roof after hail damage), the price was very reasonable compared to the insurance estimate and it ended up costing very little out of pocket. And they did a great job and right on time. There was a paperwork error with the insurance company that caused a short delay in final payment but Gavin and company stepped up and handled it all and my business partner and I are more than satisfied. Clear Choice gets my future business for 1) not turning their noses up at the smaller jobs, knowing it leads to more and better business and 2) doing a good job for a good price, and 3) taking responsibility and quickly handling mistakes. I am so grateful to Gavin from Clear Choice Roofing. I saw a post where he offered to do free roof checks, and decided to have him come out. We just built a new house and I was a bit concerned about some areas of our roof. I had previously asked the original subcontractor come out to look at those areas, and they assured me all was fine. When Gavin came down off of our roof he was visibly upset, and told us that our roof was done so poorly that almost the entire thing needed to be replaced. It was so bad that we wouldn't even be able to pass a home inspection. I immediately sent Gavin's detailed report (complete with pictures) to a home inspector who agreed 100% with Gavin's findings. He also told me that there is no way we would pass a home inspection. Long story short, thankfully we were still in our warranty period with our builder and now they are replacing our roof. I've used Clear Choice twice in the past, both time for small issues like a few shingles betting blown away in a storm, or needing to replace old roof vents that birds had decided to clog up with their nests. When I first went to find a company, I used Angie's List. I contacted two different companies via Angie's List and neither of them contacted me back. Probably because the jobs were so small. I finally did a search on Google for Roofers in Georgetown and found Clear Choice. They responded immediately. They got someone out quickly, gave me a clear and simple quote, were very nice and respectful, and there was no 'hard sale'. Both times, we were able to schedule work to be done quickly. They showed up on time, were polite, cleaned up after themselves, and did exactly what they said they would do. Haven't had any issues with the work they've done, and my roofs look better than they did before the damage. I just wish there were more companies like this. I don't know if they have a "no job too small" policy, but my jobs were really small compared to what roofers normally do. It pays off in the end though, because who do you think I will call when it's time for my roof to be replaced? Work Completed Date: March 02, 2013 Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $199.00 The service was called "Roof Tune Up and Repair" Replace missing shingles (between 10 and 20 three tab shingles) "Seal penetrations and stacks" I had about 20 shingles in multiple areas of my roof blow off during some high winds. Many houses in the area were affected. My wife did not want me climbing up on our two story roof so we decided to call some roofers to get an estimate Gavin said he could come out the next day to take a look. He showed up as promised. After the inspection, he talked to my wife and explained what was needed and gave us an estimate to replace the missing shingles and do some basic sealing. He gave us a discount if we would put a sign in our yard, which we were happy to do. Note that we had some earlier feedback from another vendor who said we might need to contact our insurance to see about replacing the whole roof. Gavin explained that the roof, which is only 8 years old, was not that bad. His honesty and input was very much appreciated. Clear Choice was not able to come out on the initially scheduled time, but they contacted me to let me know about the schedule change and the reason for the delay (only one day). First, let me state that I expected this job to be a challenging experience. It was a small roofing job and I live out in a rural area wherein it is sometimes challenging to find reliable contractors. I received 3 estimates for the job from 3 different roofing contractors. From start to finish and every step along the way, Clear Choice was very professional, courteous and responsive. Everyone was very polite and client focused. Honestly, my job was a small one and the other roofing companies I had contacted treated me as a borderline opportunity and one they were marginally interested in pursuing. Not Clear Choice. Starting with my first phone call, Natasha was very polite and followed through in a timely manner. Gavin called me quickly and asked all of the right questions. Boris meet me at my home (the job site) to discuss the job and take measurements and described the sequence of events that I should expect. Then Boris and his crew showed up with the materials and completed the job as he described he would. They were very polite and cleaned up afterwards. I called four roofing companies to give me a bid to replace my roof. I knew I had to pay to replace the roof myself, so I was trying to get the lowest possible bid. Gavin, the owner, drove up; looked at the roof from the ground and said he could get my insurance company to pay for the cost to replace the roof. Because he was an insurance adjustor he was able to explain in intricate details how the insurance companies evaluate a roof claim. I signed a contract for him to do the job with the understanding that he must be there when my insurance adjustor comes, and if the insurance company would not pay for the roof our contact was void. My insurance company paid for the roof replacement. Garvin waited patiently while I replaced the fascia and siding on the house. I did the work myself, so I had no way of hauling off the old sidings and other building materials. Gavin took the old sidings and the other building materials to the dump at no charge. He removed two old solar panels and hauled them off to the dump as well at no charge. He said his crew has been with him for nine years. This Clear Choice review is months overdue. The quality service and execution of the contract was excellent, and I think it deserves a shout out. From the first appointment when Ruben, the sales rep, came to inspect my roof, explain the process, time delay, different options and answer my questions, to when the work was completed, Ruben remained available to provide solutions. My roof was damaged during Hurricane Harvey last year, and some of the roofers I called then refused to even consider repairing a leak. I wasn't ready to replace the entire roof, but Clear Choice did an excellent job repairing that leak, and I remembered them a few months later when ready for a complete new roof. Their bid wasn't the least expensive, but it was competitive, and their professionalism, from the field crew to the office staff, was by far the best. I've passed their contact to two of my friends and will continue to do so when the opportunity presents itself. Gavin, the owner, came out the day after I called and looked at my roof. I thought I would need a new roof considering the age of the roof and that no repairs had ever been completed. Gavin explained that he could fix the roof and some of the plumbing vents that were in bad shape and it should give my roof another 5 good years of service. He saved me over $8,000!!! I was told he was quite busy, but would try and fit me in as soon as possible. The next day he had a roofer out to do the repairs. The workman spent about five hours on the roof and completed all of the work to include a few vent pipes and some trim work had been needed for some time. After a fierce hail storm caused severe damage to our metal roof, and after checking reviews on the web, we called Clear Choice Roofing to inspect our roof and assess the damage. Mike Ludlow came out immediately and worked diligently with our insurance company to determine all that was needed to replace our roof. He and his roofing forewoman, Carrie, helped us select the material and color for our new metal roof. Then we decided to postpone the project until after the hot summer months. When Carrie and her team went to work in November, as we had agreed, they were amazing, highly skilled, courteous, and professional. They did an absolutely fantastic job and clean-up was thorough. The gutter and sheetrock contractors that Mike engaged did excellent work as well. Minor adjustments around a skylight were taken care of promptly and precisely. When it comes to finding honest dependable contractors, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I've had some bad experiences in the past. I took a recommendation from a friend to use clear choice and I can say I'm so glad I Did! Roofing is a big expense, but they were honest from the very beginning on what I needed without trying to sell me on what I didn't. Their reputation is what sold me and I'm confident that my money was well spent on something that will last for years! Clear Choice installed a new roof on my home in August 2018. They were the first to give me an estimate. Michael Ludlow suggested that I have my home owner's insurance company check the roof out for hail damage. He was correct and the new roof was covered by my insurance (Liberty Mutual) except for the deductible, of course. Michael was great at explaining my roofing options and addressing my concerns. I had lots of questions as this was my first new roof. The crew showed up on time, worked hard and cleaned up after themselves. The roof looks great and I'm very happy with the Owens Corning white shingles that were used. The gutters were replaced and are much better than the previous ones. The upstairs was definitely cooler after the white shingles along with the solar turbines were installed. If you'll remember in September 2018, the skies opened up and we had rain almost every day that month. I didn't have any leaks then, nor have I had any leaks during the six months since the roof was installed. Very happy camper here!!! read more

It was very easy to get in contact with Clear Choice Roofing and they were very flexible in scheduling an appointment - they were even willing to meet with me on a Saturday!! This was greatly appreciated. I had removed a DirecTV antenna and Clear Choice replaced an area of the shingles (I had some spares left over) which had holes from the antenna and filled the holes. There were a couple of places where the flashing around vents were coming up and they re-secured those. They replaced one of my vents which had been damaged by critters chewing on it. There were a couple of shingles that had been previously damaged by branches and they replaced those also. They did a complete inspection of the roof and would've advised me of any additional concerns which could be fixed before becoming major problems (since the roof had been replaced a few years ago, there weren't any additional issues to be addressed). Very professional, courteous, honest and I'll be using them again when I need any roofing work done. read more
