** The only review you need to read ** We were driving N 40 miles outside Redding on the start of a 2000 mile, 12 day vacation drive, when a big-rig cut in front of us to pass and shot up a UFO that flew into our windshield. The damage looked like a gunshot. Needless to say, I was livid as I continued driving down the Interstate! I waited until we got to Redding while my wife looked for a windshield repair place. She found an address for Safelite and we drove there. When we got there, no actual shop was there but fortunately, Clear View was a couple doors down the street. While we sat in the car looking for repair options, a man walked up to unlock their shop. "You looking for us?" he asked. I said, "Yep, can you look at my windshield and give us an assessment? We just got hit 40 miles back." After seeing him grimace at the damage, he said, "Let me see what I can do." He pulled out his tools and began work. He mentioned they were down one crew member that day and other cars were being brought in while he worked on our car, so I knew they were very busy. In no time at all, his skill and expertise turned a potential vacation-buster into a barely noticeable issue that allowed us to continue our trip without any delay. I was amazed. When I pulled out my wallet to pay him, he just put out his hand and said, "Have a great vacation." I shook his hand and said, "Oh no, what do I owe you? You are busy and took time from a busy day to take care of us." He replied, "I'm the owner so it's okay. Have a great vacation." and he stuck out his hand for a second time for me to shake. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is they gave me a time frame of 11-2 and at 2:30 my wife had to call and see where they were. She had been waiting around the whole time and had to leave by 4. They weren't able to get there and finish it by 4 so had to be rescheduled for the next day. Other then that no issues. read more

My daughter took a rock to her windshield a few weeks ago, and I needed to have it replaced before school started. I called Clear View to make an appointment. They came over the next day to my work , and replaced the windshield right there in the parking lot. Eric, who is the owner actually did the work, and he was very neat and clean with the installation. I have had other windshields replaced in the past and when I got my car back, I had to spend 30 minutes cleaning the black goop and all the rubber chunks from the seals off of my dash and carpets. The gentleman I first spoke to on the phone was quick to quote me a price with no ridiculous extra charges that would have to be figured out at the time of install like everyone else I had called. Took a rock to the windshield, instant crack. I had my 2012 Subaru Outback in for service on the same day. They recommended Clear View very highly. Spoke with my insurance (All state), come to find out that they are on their preferred list. They put us on a three way call, I set up a appointment for 2 days later.
