BEWARE OF NICOLET GLASS! Had a broken outside pane of a double-pane window in an upstairs room replaced by Nicolet Glass. They sent a couple of young kids who replaced the glass. The next winter storm came and water poured through the window like a "water feature!" Flooded the room and the rooms below. When they sent their resident expert out to see what happened, he (Randy) stated unequivocally the window had been installed wrong. Nicolet then sent somebody out to make the repairs to the window. Meanwhile, the homeowner's claim on my insurance, which reached almost $22,000 in repairs was submitted to Nicolet Glass for subrogation. Nicolet owner (Brian Biggs), denied culpability for the damages. That left me with the out of pocket deductible, cost of initial window "repair" and increase in my homeowner's premiums. Under threat of a lawsuit to hold Nicolet Glass responsible, Mr. Biggs paid me back my deductible and a PORTION of the original "repair." I am still left with the increase in my homeowner's insurance and a claim mark against me. They used to have a good reputation here but it seems Mr. Biggs has sold his soul to the Devil. Wow! I had a great experience using Nicolet Glass to remove five very large floor-length mirrors from my living room. Communication was great from the start. I thought the original estimate was just fine, but on the day of service, the crew was able to remove the mirrors in half the time expected. My back window was shot out and needed to be replaced. I live in Shingletown and no mobile service was available. It rained the night before so I had to cover the window with plastic. When I picked up my car I noticed a huge piece of paint was missing from the top of my car. Not once did they mention that this had happened. Now I understand I had to tape the plastic down and that could possibly peel the paint once taken off, but there has to be some type of solvent they could have used. I called to complain and was told basically it was my fault for the type of tape I used and that they didn't think it was a big deal to tell me since my car had other areas where the paint was chipping. The only areas my paint is chipping is along the seams of the windows and windshield areas. I am very disappointed. My insurance recommended this shop and I will never use them again. read more

Nicolet charged me twice for an item. Things happen, I get it, but the accountant handling this situation wasn't in the least bit in a hurry to contact their bank to clear it up. No apologies at all from the accountant thus making it clear that this is how it is, so deal with it. I have NEVER written a review on Yelp or any other platform before. Like many of us, I work paycheck to paycheck and this double-charge hurts a little. I asked for a simple check to be issued where they could forget about dealing with their bank- no dice. I will not use them again, they quoted us $345 yet changed us $425. The workmanship was poor. When we asked about the seal their reply was it is only cosmetic. I guess that means they don't care if their work looks bad. So disappointed in the service and workmanship. Terrible experience. read more

I needed a new closer for the front door of our business due to the wind whipping it open recently. The price was fair and the service was great. They had to come back out again to make it work right after the first part they installed was leaking, but they finished the job and my door is working better than ever now. The two women at the front counter must have just eaten a lemon when I walked in. Very sour faces without a hint of welcome. We had window two chips on our new cars windshield. They were fairly quick fixing them. But they really show up. We were told chips needed to be cleaned really well for them to not show. Compared to the many other chips we have had fixed I'd rate there work as poor because the chips were really small and hardly showed but they stand out now. read more

We would not recommend this business at all! They basically did a terrible job and told us huge lies. We hired them to do window replacement as our home was nearly 20 years old and our older windows were not very energy efficient. Our great room has 2 windows that have arched tops, very common. After coming to install the new windows they told us that because of the arch style of those two windows they could not do regular installation and would be leaving the drywall and upper window frame exposed "because window manufacturers don't make the rounded pieces that complete the frame". I found this very surprising since these types of windows are super common. They told us we should hire a carpenter to custom build a trim piece of wood and then caulk it in to hide the drywall and the inside of the frame would just have to be left exposed. We did have to do this, very expensive. They told us they would look around their shop to see if the could find some curved plastic that could help the dining room window, which took them over 5 months and many calls from myself, and it looks better but not good. They repeatedly told me that "window manufacturers don't make the curved trim pieces", it was tough luck. I decided one day to call the manufacturer of the windows, the sticker from the company was on the new windows. They told me of course they ABSOLUTELY MAKE ALL SHAPES OF TRIM PIECES to complete an installation, but the pieces need to be ordered when the window is ordered and manufactured, and Nicolet did not order these parts. I contacted another glass business in town, Moule's, and they confirmed this. I am furious that Nicolet lied so blatantly to us, when the truth was they didn't order the parts correctly. This was a tremendous expense to us and ended up as a complete nightmare, and yes, our windows will forever be less than finished. They also left many pieces of glass in our planter beds (nice to find when you're gardening or your kids are playing!). Nicolet should be ashamed of their dishonesty and how they treated us. When the glass broke in one of my wood windows, I went to Nicolet on Victor Ave to get a piece of replacement glass. I gave them the dimensions of the old window, they knew exactly what type of glass I needed, and they cut it while I waited...about 5 minutes. Folks in the office were helpful and friendly, and the price was comparable with other glass shops in town. read more
