Caution, Do NOT use this service. My home was struck by lightning on Wednesday. Bad enough to deal with all the service techs for home wiring, electronic repairs, etc. After calling 4 companies who each stated I needed to bring the TV's in, I found this company on YELP, however he only had one recommendation. But he came out and picked up the TV's. Duke energy and my insurance company both stated I needed verification that the TV's were fried. A bit much since so many other things were damaged but I was trying to comply. Jack charged me $310 to pick the TV's, a blue ray player and a computer up. Then the nightmare started. When I would call to ask the status he would state "don't ask me that, I got things to do." Twice he hung up on me. I told him all I needed was a statement of verification that they were "toast". He said he could not provide that until he diagnosed it. His diagnosis eventually was they were hit by lightning, he has provided NOTHING in writing to that effect but sent me a text stating he would charge $175 to repair the DVD player, $297 to repair the 40" Samsung and $397 to repair the Panasonic. This is on top of the $310 he already received. This was a nightmare. I have not asked for any money back as I truly don't want to deal with him any further. He acted erratically at my home and over the phone. The only good news is that he dropped my computer off at Zone Red in Dunedin. They did an excellent job. They were able to retrieve the information off the hard drive and put it in a new computer. I did not ask Clear View to bring it elsewhere but once he had the computer it was obvious he knew nothing about them. When he said the information could be retrieved I told him I had a 1TB passport backup that I could bring him. He repeatedly stated that there was too much information and it would not fit on a thumbdrive. I explained the size several times and he continued to state it could not fit on a thumb drive. Eventually he stated he brought it to Zone Red and I needed to call Patrick to arrange repair. I was thankful for that but he was paid $80 which I did not get credit for. When I picked up my new computer at Zone Red (I brought it there after purchase) I was charged $100. So essentially I paid Jack $80 to drop it off. Stay away from this place. Obviously I am not paying him additional money to repair equipment that can be purchased new for less. read more
