Loosie. She saved my son's life. 2009-2024

AVOID CLEARVIEW. My pup. Loosie, was a patient at Clearview her entire life. 14 years. She saved my son's life shortly after she came to live with us as a puppy. Her care was stellar when the clinic was owned by Dr. Black. He and his staff cared about all our animals, and they cared about us and how well-equipped we could be to care well for our animals. They were compassionate, supportive, and helpful. No longer true. After Clearview was sold, I only once was able to book an appointment for my pup - and then was coerced into spending significantly more money than was appropriate for that visit. My pup became seriously ill twice over the past 6 months, and the front desk would only offer an appointment 2-3 WEEKS out. Faced with difficulty eating or walking (the problems my pup was having), a people doctor would find a way to help a patient be seen and evaluated. Not Clearview. My pup died January 22 after 9 hours of seizures and convulsions. Her ashes were sent to Clearview. Clearview called today to say they were ready for pickup, and I picked up her ashes. There were 3 people at the front desk. When I said I was there to pick up my dog's ashes, all they did was verify my dog's name and my name - then handed me the ashes. Not a single word of acknowledgement or empathy on the phone or at the front desk for a pup who had been in the care of Clearview for over 14 years. Not. One. Word.

Black said that he actually doesn't need it at all, and if I had gone through them it would have only cost $300.

Pilchuck Vet hospital got us in immediately, and the entire team was peaceful, confident, and genuinely compassionate. They didn't just follow steps -- they were fully present and attentive to everything happening in real time. They sent us home with a clear care plan and medication, and within 24 hours my little Simon is visibly healing. I'm deeply grateful for the team. They cared for both of us.

Biscuit had ingested a bone and was visibly experiencing distressing symptoms while trying to digest or pass it. The appointment ended with accusations of mistreatment toward our animal, a police report being filed, and Everett Animal Control taking custody of my pet while they investigate the situation. We are no longer able to visit our dog, receive timely updates on his care, or make decisions regarding his care. If he is released, it will be to a kill shelter. We are pursuing all possible legal responses. This is a nightmare that no loving pet parent should ever have to experience. I wish I had read reviews on this clinic and been more selective about where I took our dog for emergency care, but nobody thinks of that during a time of distress. Our visit was grossly mishandled. In my opinion, the clinic failed to properly diagnose our dog and fully explore reasonable medical explanations regarding his condition, and the consequences of that are absolutely unfathomable. Please, please avoid taking your animal here for emergency care.

I generally hate writing a review without really making sure of my facts. But here is my story…read morewith only the facts. We were interested in taking our newest 2 year old Bassett Beagle mix to Evergreen. My wife spent quite a bit of time filling out all the paper work. Once completed, she submitted it to the office. After some time, we received a confirmation call that the application had been received and that we needed to call back to set up an appointment. So my wife did just that and we received a date and time. So far so good. When we arrived today we spoke to the receptionist and told her that we were here for our appointment. She said that we did not have an appointment. I was confused. Maybe we got it wrong, it happens. But she said that we are not even in their system. Now I am thinking we had the wrong place. So embarrassing. But wife said she knows it's the right place. She looks for the info on her phone. The receptionist said they are not taking new patience and that we probably filled out the paper work and that we are on a waiting list. But something was just off about this. Why would we have showed up on this date and time? We have a message saying that we needed to call and set up an appointment. My wife did that. The receptionist said its not possible. Even after showing her the message. She kept saying that we made a mistake and insinuating we did something wrong. She even said a couple times that you can stop looking for proof because it wont change anything and that we dont have an appointment. It was quite off putting that she would talk to us like that and at the very least, own up to the fact that a mistake was made on their end. So my issue is the customer service. I am a business man and you have to treat your customer with more respect. I dont think she intentionally wanted to be rude, but she was not interested in getting to the bottom of this. It was only....You guys are wrong and thats tough! I get it, you dont need our business, but treat people better. Listen to them. Dont assume things. I left peoples names out of this review because I am not trying to start something here, but I felt like we were treated wrong and wanted to let people know.

Or rather, sub par. And for my precious pups, sub par just isn't good enough. He may be a fine vet, he seems knowledgible and relatively friendly himself, but the trouble is his support staff. Goodness gracious! So cold and abrasive and definitely seem bored and disinterested. From the moment I walked in with our pups, I was met with this kind of cloud of "what do you want?" I felt like a bother. It was bizarre. And it threw me off because I was feeling friendly, and there wasn't a smile to be seen in response. I figured maybe it was just a bad day for the front desk gal and the vet tech, so when I went back another day for a follow up consultation with Dr Kevin I hoped things would be better... nope. These are not happy workers. And that tells me a lot about a place. Also, the merchandise/food/etc shelves are barren - it looks like it's going out of business. The vibe was not conducive to my trust in my pups being in good hands - especially when one of them was being scheduled for a dental procedure under anesthesia. I did some research and we switched to a different veterinary practice in December, my pup just had her dental procedure today, and I couldn't be happier with the level of skill, interest, kindness, and concern we received from the entire staff at this new place! THIS is the way it should be! What a difference! I would suggest Dr Kevin really look at his support staff and make much-needed improvements if he hopes to retain clients and build his business. I wish him the best.

Even asked to restrain my non reactive dog without asking any questions prior. The rest of the team seemed pleasant. after they took my dog back the first visit the vet came back pretty passive aggressive and upset that her and her team could not handle a 85 pound husky. he needed water after returning back to the room with me and i was told three times by a vet assistant that it doesn't seem like he does. i asked once again and they brought it in placed it down while saying "i don't even think he's gonna drink it" and my dog drank the whole bowl. he was stressed, panting, this was his first ever vet visit and i reiterated that a number of times. he wasn't aggressive he is just jerky when inexperienced vet techs try to touch him with no warning. the second visit was much smoother. he had to just get shots and the lady on the counter was someone with more comprehension. They were much more kind and understanding of a big dog and how they can act. they took him back for two minutes and he came back smiling. the vet this time did make it clear he didn't like the needle but everything went smoothly. i return a third time and its a automatic request my dog wears a mussel because he bit someone. wouldn't specify who, and the reason "the who" was asked because no biting was ever mentioned and the dog just doesn't bite. so just to make it clear theres people there with different levels of experience and understanding than others maybe they can only handle dogs under 40 pounds. The ironic part is i don't think they wanted me to return because i've had the right phone number and email on file since the initial intake, and never once received reminder for any appointments. each time i asked they said they definitely called, but they didn't. i rechecked the number on file twice. they just don't notify. definitely get a new front desk person, she has no conversation skills!
