Our dog (now 13) is still nervous, but by the end of the home visit acts like she's found her new best friend. We had a very sick pregnant sheep (Ariana) that was in a lot of pain and distress. Despite not being a client--they not only gave me help and advice, but squeezed in an appointment to tend to my sheep between surgeries. They were so helpful and kind. Airana ultimately didn't make it but the Dr. did a c-section and was able to save 1 lamb. I was so worried about the bill--but it had to be done. Recently switched to this vet clinic since driving down to Kent for puppy appointments is a bit far. I had a wonderful experience with my older corgi and will be taking my shiba in soon. You wait in your car and call them to let them know you've arrived for your appointment and they come out and take your pet in for you. After the doctor does initial exam, the Doctor will call you and chat about how things are going and discuss any concerns you have. Doctor Robertson addressed all my concerns and I felt like I was really being listened to. After the exam and whatever things you need done like vaccinations, your pet is returned to your car all happy and you can pay either by card or cash. One thing I really appreciate about this place is that not only are there email reminders for your appointment, they also call you the day before just to double confirm your appointment. Super helpful if you're super busy or tend to forget things. read more

This place is amazing! I brought my first foster dog to Twin Pines to get him checked out. The foster boy dog is kind of big and strong and I was afraid to even try to clean his ears and nails, so part of me wondered if this wonderful team is going to be able to take care of that. When I got the end of the visit call from Dr. Robertson, she was super nice and was able to somehow magically get an ear swab off the dog despite him threatening to bite her. She was so positive about it too when she mentioned it you know these folks care about what they do. I liked their care so much that despite living more than 20 miles away and having closer options, we took our second foster dog to Twin Pines for the wellness exam. What more can I say? I really would recommend them without reservation! But wait, I do have more to say! Colleen has been super patient, friendly, and courteous on the phone! I am also super impressed at how easily they transferred the electronic medical records from the foster dogs' previous care providers. Jacob is wonderful too. I see the patient and care and the time he takes not only in working with me and giving me the time to secure the dog before talking business, he shows that same care and consistency in working with everyone while I wait for my turn. They are truly excellent, professional, warm, and courteous service with a smile...okay okay, I had to infer the smile since they are all being safe and wearing masks, but I guarantee you that you will feel the warm when you see them! read more

So very good in so many ways. We've taken our cats to several vets and while many of them were good I have to say that we've never experienced such a great checkup experience with as we did at Twin Pines. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. And they were warm and caring with our pets--which you'd hope is kind of the baseline for pet care. But a key difference at Twin Pines is that they also spent the time to talk through the results of the exams and tests and to explain things to us. They are incredibly thorough and followed up on both our questions and lab results. Often medical care (both for pets and for humans) can feel a bit rushed even when it's decent quality care--but the extra time, thoroughness, and warmth at Twin Pines separates them from the rest. Such a great experience from beginning to end. Also, the location is easy to access with ample parking right next to the entrance to the clinic. I've never had a better vet experience and would recommend this practice to anyone. read more

So things were really great in the beginning, but recent staffing changes coupled with our dog getting worse instead of better after three visits for the same condition have us calling around to find better availability and a more compassionate front desk. Recently, we've been unable to get our dog in for follow-up treatment on a condition she's been seen for three times already. The last straw was being told she would have to take an appointment two months out and then being told finding a different vet 'is always an option.' Not having made the decision to leave the practice just yet, we were a little surprised to find an email with our dog's records included from said admin staff stating we could now share them with the new vet. I've never seen a business so eager to gift clients to someone else. PLEASE NOTE: This was *NOT* Colleen, the regular receptionist. She is worth her weight in gold, and they should never let her go. She never would have treated this way. Regarding the recent care of our dog, I was less and less impressed as they didn't seem to be interested in finding out the cause of the issue, just in taking our money to treat her. Turns out one of the prescriptions she was on is immunosuppressive and likely the culprit. We discontinued the medication on our own and have appointments with a different clinic to verify coming up shortly. I understand the pandemic has created a backlog of people finally feeling safe in taking their animals to the vet. I understand that many vet offices are short-staffed for the same reason. What I don't understand is the complete lack of compassion or empathy for a regular patient who is obviously in distress. And finally, if you can't remember my dog is female and I need to correct you every time we discuss her, you really shouldn't be working the front desk. Can you imagine making an appointment with your family doctor for your child and they kept calling your daughter by male pronouns? Our pets *are* our kids. read more

Dr. Robinson is the only person I want my babies (dogs) to be treated by. We have a relationship with her that dates back at least 6 years. (See prior reviews) Maple went in and got her teeth cleaned recently. I'll just say,,, she's a brat!! (Not trusting) She came back licking the vet tech's face. We adopted Maple and Jasper as a bonded pair and they seemed to be abused and were afraid of most people. Even before anesthesia, when the tech took her from my car (Covid) into the clinic, she was very relaxed. They just do things right here in my opinion. Caring, attentive, and gentle. I was in a rush to find a vet clinic in 2020 during pandemic. All clinics either didn't accept new patients at all or waiting line was 1-2 months long. My freed recommended Twin Pines when I desperately needed to update shots for my dog. I called them and was able to get the appointment in 1 week! Twin Pines have a nice building and very friendly staff. They did what was required very quickly and I was surprised that the price was cheeper than I expected (I don't mind though). Also they can deliver all prescriptions to your door, super cool. One more thing, big thank you to this place: when my dog had issues and went thru er surgery in another place, Twin Pines removed her stitches for free. That is something that I appreciate the most, they do care about your pets and do their job at the very top level. read more

I've been bringing my cat to Twin Pines for the past year, since I moved to the area. We have seen Dr. Hardy and Dr. Robertson and love them both! The support staff (especially Marc) are also fantastic. A few months ago, we adopted a dog, and brought her in for a check-up. They gave her the exam for free because they love rescues! Since then, we have been back many times to get Maggie up-to-date on all of her shots. They have also helped us navigate some diet and behavioral concerns. Maggie is an anxious dog and is extremely particular about who she likes, but she warmed up to the whole Twin Pines team right away. We just moved about 30 minutes away, but there's no way I'm leaving Twin Pines! We'll gladly make the drive for the great care they give our animals. PS they've been great during COVID-- we stay in the car, they take the animals in, and then the doctor calls us from inside and tells us how the exam is going. read more

Sadly, my old girl had lymphoma, and had to be put down, as she was suffering badly. The vet and office staff were very sympathetic and helpful, and let us have as much time as we needed to say goodbye to her. If I get another dog, I will bring it here. read more

Today we had Dr. Robertson make a house call for our 12 year old Akita. She was so sweet & gentle with our girl & we will never go elsewhere for veterinary care! Knowing we have the option of an office call or house call means so much to us. We've never had a vet come to our home & it was needed right now because of an injury, making it impossible to transport our dog. The doctor was able to trim my girl's nails also today, which is not a small feat. My girl HATES having her toenails clipped! :) She mouthed off a bit but the doctor kept going, making it a success! This is the best vet clinic we've been to! Well, should I say who has come to us. We have quite a few animals, including 4 Pygmy goats that were in not great shape when we got them. These ladies came out to the farm, helped trim hooves, treated worms and a few other parasites that had inhabited them. She also looked at and treated our newly adopted dog who had a host of issues that other vets couldn't get rid of. We are transferring all of our other animals care to Twin Pines - we loved our old vet but love these folks even more! You can tell they truly care! read more

Dr. Hardy and her team are remarkable. She's treated both my cats and pet sheep and is completely knowledgeable about both. I had been looking for a veterinarian for some time that specializes in sheep and other ruminant breeds, but kept ending up with horse vets that really weren't qualified or particularly interested in treating sheep. Dr. Hardy has amazing energy and obviously loves the animals she works with. She takes all the time her patients need during appointments to not only diagnose and develop treatment plans, but to inform, educate, and make herself available for follow-up communication as needed. In addition to a comprehensive command of traditional veterinary medicine - she's also got "down home" remedies and recipes for homemade tonics that really work! She easily provided me with a simple recipe of common ingredients to give my sheep with an upset stomach. Instead of an expensive emergency farm call, Dr. Hardy was willing to share some of her wisdom and experience to help my pet in lieu of billing for services that could have been not only unessessary, but possibly invasive and expensive. I love everything about this place! We used to go to a different vet that's only 5 minutes away from our house and we now make the drive 30 minutes to come here instead. We found out our dog has a liver issue and we talked to a few different vets to try and understand how to monitor the issue, and Dr. Robertson explained it the best out of all of them - she's super knowledgeable and funny too. Dr. Robertson and her staff are so good with our pets - we bring both our cat and dog for check-ups. I even think our cat may like Alyssa more than us. The previous time we visited we were all kind of amazed how she didn't move when Alyssa was holding her for her vaccines. They also recently renovated their office and it's very homey. y Vet of 22 years passed away last year. It took me several vets before I hit on Dr. Robertson. Appointments were easy to get. We were never rushed. Everything was explained carefully. We always received a call the next day to see how everything was going and if we had any questions. I felt taken care of along with my pet. Unfortunately I had to put my dog to sleep. Our goats are spoiled and they don't like strangers at all! But Liz Hardy, D.V.M. is very good with them and she calmed four of the five down almost instantly, the brat took a bit longer. Dr. Hardy was quick and efficient, explained what she was doing and why with each goat and giving us a full assessment of their health and progress from last year. My dog has an injured paw, I called emergency vet, they said prob not a true emergency, call your reg vet. So I called Twin Pines over the weekend, then on Monday. Closed on Monday, so I left a message that my dog needs to be seen urgently. They called me back when I was in a meeting, saying that they had a "a few appointments". I called back literally within 5-7 minutes, and they said that they're booked up for the week. Seriously???? I was so upset. What am I supposed to do with my poor dog???? read more

They saw my sheep as an emergency call after a long day for them and they never acted rushed. They were so gentle, patient, and thorough not to mention knowledgeable! The receptionist Colleen was so incredibly rude on the phone. On google it said they did emergency services so I called to see how long of a wait it would be when she responded "for what?" in the most condescending and rude tone. I said "for emergency services?" and she responds with "um we're not an ER clinic" again in such a rude tone that I was taken aback for a moment. I was clearly having a pet emergency and she couldn't even be a little bit nice or polite about it. Then she throws in the very sarcastic comment of "do you need the numbers to ER clinics or could look that up for yourself?" Like, excuse me but I don't see what I did to get such attitude towards me when I just asked a simple question and was clearly in the difficult position of worrying for my pets life. I don't understand why someone working in a vet hospital would be so insensitive and rude when it comes to a pet emergency. read more

I am so impressed with Dr. Hardy and her staff. I have a flock of eleven sheep. Recently one sheep had a wire wrapped around her leg which cut off the circulation to one hoof. She gave expert care and advice for treating her injuries. She was able to save one hoof on that leg and Ragga is now back to her old self. Follow-up calls are always made to check up on my animals. I took my duck Lemon to see Dr Miller. They took us a few minutes early and were done in 39 minutes with the exam and treatment. I am very impressed. I appreciated how Dr Miller told me what to expect and explained why he was doing imaging and treatment was conservative. Lemon was well taken care of and I am grateful for this clinic. read more

Dr. Liz Hardy saved our goats life January of 2018. She and her assistant Mark who was wonderful, calm and very experienced made a house visit. Dr. Hardy quickly assessed Jane and got right to everything she needed to do to take care of her. In the year and half since this event happened, Jane has had many ups and downs with her health. Dr. Hardy is always kind and practical about our goats status. She is also open to natural remedy's when appropriate.
