Proceed with Caution -- Worst Rental Experience I've Ever Had Out of many years of renting across different states and cities, this has truly been the worst nightmare of an experience. I do not recommend Clearcreek Water to anyone considering making this location home. From the beginning, there were constant red flags. The person now acting as "the head" of this property is cruel, dismissive, and unprofessional, often behaving as though she has a personal issue with tenants. Heal that, "ma'am".. Her demeanor made the environment feel hostile and unwelcoming--definitely not a good fit nor look for residential leadership. For context, I've lived at other 1st Lake communities and never had an issue until I came here. Complaints from myself and other tenants about loud music, suspicious visitors, dog feces, and even strangers knocking on doors were routinely ignored. Even more concerning, weed smoke in the buildings was never addressed, despite repeated complaints. Contrary to being told that "weed is in", there are definitely complexes that enforce NO SMOKING or one may face eviction --to add, for someone with asthma, I was forced to use a prescribed (Dec '24) ventilator nightly just to breathe--this alone should have warranted urgent attention, but it never did. At move-out, my family and movers discovered visible mold on the air vents, which I later found had already been reported in previous online reviews. It was disturbing to see that this issue has been repeatedly overlooked. To top it off, I confirmed my final rent payment amount in advance--both in person and via email well ahead of move out --yet I later found out there was a mysterious, unexplained charge added to my account. I was also contacted by clearcreek for a forwarding address which was written on the move out notice, that I HAVE A COPY OF .. you have my phone number but not my file? So, where did you retrieve the # from?! Stop it. This kind of shady, unethical behavior is unacceptable, and when I contacted corporate, they had no record of an issue or even a reason for why my forwarding address had been requested. How is that so? How couldn't corporate (the entity that the "head" stated NEEDED the forwarding address) locate a concern by my name or phone number? This is wild and low, wow. Y'all dropped the ball--anywho, I was advised by corporate to reach out to Cindy Hart, the Regional Vice President. If anyone else needs to do the same, the corporate number is +1 (504) 455-5059. She should be back in office on Monday 6/30! She's also on LinkedIn. Thankfully, I've since relocated to a much better complex, where the leasing agents are professional, kind, and genuinely invested in the upkeep of the property and us, as a community (they recently facilitated a pizza party for us, a pool party, and meet and greet, all in ONE month; next events are slated for next month ) well after the lease is signed. It's a night-and-day difference, and a reminder of how poorly managed Clearcreek Water really is. Please consider THIS your warning: save yourself the stress, health risk, and frustration. This property may carry the 1st Lake name and "appear" to be the one, but it doesn't reflect the standards they use abide by. & remember this, "person in charge", you will never win when you play dirty--shame on you. With that, I recommend none of the properties based on who they hire to serve the community! ***No need to say, "reach out", I did that. Oh, (prospective tenants) when you reference my review and others, there won't be any accountability or honesty, they'll tell you what you WANT to hear so that you can sign! I simply won't stand by knowing I paid my dues throughout my stay and allow them to behave in this despicable disgusting manner. All in all, in my new place, I'm finally at peace and can SLEEP throughout the night... ALSO, here I can accrue points that go towards rent! I've been at Clearwater creek going on 3 years & have experienced the progressive decline in customer service. I never post reviews & took the time to write this one out of disappointment & to inform others. I had a slow leak in my ceiling in March. Maintenance pushed it off again and again til it became a steady stream and caused a huge hole. It took from March to the end of June to get it repaired. 4 months of having a bucket under my ceiling for the leak and watching the ceiling being destroyed. My current issue is a clogged bathtub. I submitted a work order exactly one month ago when the issue began. Again no response. When I call I'm met with a poor attitude and dismissed. Always told we'll go tomorrow & it's been literally one month. I got off the phone with them an hour ago. I asked for an ETA because today is the tomorrow I've been promised. And was told "I don't know." Now the bathtub takes at least an hour to drain. And will probably start causing issues for the tenant below me soon. This is after my multiple attempts with draino & YouTube. If maintenance would respond when the issue is presented instead of ignoring it It definitely would save them and us a lot of time, effort and money. I've been told there's more pressing issues but Last summer my A/C went out and was told it was not an emergency. My unit thermostat read 103. I had to book a hotel because of it. So I'm not sure what qualifies as an emergency. I'm a pretty patient person. But when I'm given the runaround for months after I pay on time, cause no issues & am paying $1400/momth, it's very frustrating. When I first moved in, maintenance responded quickly & would provide updates. Huge difference now! read more

Clearwater Creek Premier. I've been having a nightmare experience with them ever since I moved in! It all started when they first gave me my keys... They incorrectly, copied the keys and the cut of the key was incorrect, and I was locked out for many days and struggling to get in! Since then, my hot water will work one day a week and I will have to call the emergency maintenance number to get them to come out to fix my hot water weekly! Even after sometimes they won't even come out! I have to repeatly call or even sometimes get out of character just for them to come out! Management is aware of this situation and hasn't did anything about it! Many maintenance request have been submitted by me and I have been keeping them documented for record purposes! First lake apartment want you to pay for this rent and can't even do their job properly! I cannot wait to move out this apartment complex ! And I am currently advising everyone I can never move into Clearwater Creek premier Apartments! Management has not helped me at all and has a nasty attitude all the time! Currently, I am still waiting for them to come fix my hot water! Some nights I'm unable to take a shower due to Surprisingly, my hot water, not working !!! This is a weekly issue and nothing has been done about it! Clearwater Creek has terrible management, my daughter's clothes dryer does not work was reported to management for maintenance repair by me twice as well as my daughter. Today my daughter was told that once management knows something she would as well (rude) attitude. Now I am calling no answer office is listed on their website as open. Lived there for 13 months. Depending on the person and your luck, I could see how you could enjoy this place. In some ways we did, in others we didn't, and due to the cons outweighing the pros for us, we moved. Pros: -apartments cute (we lived in older unrenovated apt, still quite nice) -high ceilings -kitchen with opening to dining room -tons of storage space - I mean TONS! -loved the idea of the nook (vs patio) -loved having a fireplace (even though rarely used in Louisiana!) -now they have 2 pools, and the new pool was gorgeous -overall, a quiet community -the grounds were beautifully manicured - felt like you were living in the bayou with all the animals/insects chirping -didn't have any insect issues, very rare to get a cockroach and they sprayed often Cons: -the gates didn't work (or were in and out of service) for probably 4-6 months on moving in - not much of a "gated" community -the old pool was quite green a lot at the end, didn't look safe to swim in (algae blooms?) -we had water damage in our apt from above neighbors - took the maintenance people about 4-5 visits after many complaints to respackle the ceiling (even the office ladies said it looked terrible multiple times); also, they never brought the dehumidifiers they said they would and just sealed up the walls rather than opening up the walls to make sure they dried out, so we always were worried of the possible mold behind the wall -the TV in the gym didn't work for 8 of the 13 months we lived there...despite at least monthly inquiries/complaints -Hilary was wonderful/friendly (unfortunately she left and I don't think she had much power), but Monique (whom seems to have all the power) always had an excuse why repairs weren't done properly and was less than friendly -they don't change out the air filter in your apt, so be sure you change it so you're not inhaling the dust from the last tenants -with more tenants from all the new units, the gym was just becoming really crowded -15-20 minute drive to the city (some may think this is a pro!) -old fixtures -took multiple requests to get anything done (had to ask about 4-5 times over multiple weeks to get a key fob activated (and I had to keep letting tenants in the gym because they had the same issue), the ceiling repair issue, TV in gym issue, and so on) -lots of cats on the grounds (often walking on cars at night, but I think that's an issue at many complexes) Overall, if our apartment hadn't flooded (or had ever been repaired properly, in our opinion) and I wouldn't have had to file 3-5+ requests anytime I needed to get repairs done, we would have stayed. The front gates often not working was frustrating, but frankly it was a safe area and that was less concerning to us. Eventually we moved because of the above and to live closer to the city. I don't think it's a "bad" complex by most measures and our rent was cheaper there than where we live now, but the cons outweighed the pros for us. In NOLA, you have to learn to pick your poison - in the end, this place wasn't the right place for us, but it might be for someone else read more

I am currently a resident at clear water creek premier apartments. ill start by saying the apartments are beautiful, newly built construction as well. the grounds are pretty quiet and well kept by maintenance. I've had my eye on these apartments for quiet awhile now. Finally bit the bullet & got one. These units are GORGEOUS! I absolutely love this area. This is the 2nd 1st lake apartment I've been in, however this one far exceeds any of the rest! Matthew was AWESOME throughout the entire leasing process. An advantage of busy streets a few blocks away is that there are shopping centers, restaurants, my fitness club, etc. just few minutes from my doorstep. Disappointing. Be wary of your packages, as the main gate was wide open more than half of the time. It is a peaceful location once you enter; but crossing 8 lanes of angry traffic on Clearview really takes it's toll. read more

We live in Clearwater Creek and it is really a fantastic place. Before moving to New Orleans, we researched the area to find nice apartment and for many reasons, we chose Clearwater Creek. When we moved in, all our expectations were fulfilled. A nice apartment, very good security, beautiful gardens, close to public transportation and many stores nearby. The people in the office are extremely nice and helpful and any problem in the apartment is fixed immediately. In addition, River Ridge is on high ground so it is less likely to flood in bad weather. We are very happy here and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in the New Orleans area. read more

Lived at Clearwater Creeks for the last 1.5 years. Moving due to a new job offer. We enjoyed living here. It is quiet and tucked away from major roads. All of the administrators and maintenance staff are very friendly. The apartments are nice sizes, but could definitely use some updating: such as the carpet, bathtubs, toilets, stove and oven. Closet space is great, but the kitchen and bathroom need more drawers. I'd recommend living here as it is well located near the city of New Orleans also. read more

Between myself and my boyfriend, combined we have lived here more than 6 years. It's tucked away in the Elmwood Business District, but close enough to the movie theater, plenty of shopping and restaurants, and a stones throw from the levee. The current staff is amazing! Donna, the manager, is on top of everything. She knows what she's doing, is well respected by her co-workers and knows everyone by name. The maintenance guy, Steve, is their crown jewel. Requests are responded to usually the day they are submitted and it's fixed the first time properly. The only time we've had issues have been when our neighbors above us have cranked their AC down to 60 in the summer, clogged their AC drain pipe, and it flooded our first floor hallway three times in a month. The on-call staff from A DIFFERENT 1st Lake complex, handled it poorly since it happened on the weekends. The people that live here are friendly and courteous, but there are times when you can hear the person above you playing their tv or music too loud after midnight. We've had some parking issues where people were making their own spots because they were either lazy or with building renovations, there weren't as many spots to park. When Donna found out she quickly resolved the issue. The grounds are kept up and they offer monthly social events for people. Rent is relatively high, but is worth it for the safety (but rent is high everywhere in NOLA). The appliances and kitchens are dated, and it would be nice if they upgraded them. But overall, we are very pleased and happy to call this home. read more
