These people are the absolute worst!! I took my 2013 Lexus 450h to them so that they could change the spark plugs and change the struts on the front of the car. I spent a total of $2700. Within a couple weeks, the check engine light started coming on. I had someone come out to the house and they told me that cylinder one was misfiring and that it was probably a spark plug that needed to be changed. I explained that the spark plugs had just been changed. They then tested the battery, and since it was the original battery that came with the car and was 12 years old, they suggested I change the battery. So I took the car to Lexus and we had the battery changed. The check engine light kept coming on and off and on and off. I took it back to Lexus who said cylinder one was misfiring and it was a spark plug. So that I wouldn't be charged the $500 to change the spark plug, they suggested I take it back to Clegg and give them the opportunity to fix the problem, since it was still under warranty with them. I took the car back to Clegg on January 29, 2025. I dropped it off at 11:15 AM. I asked them to just change the spark plug. They didn't want to do that and kept telling me that it was something else wrong with the car. Their diagnostics weren't coming up with anything and I told them that two other people had told me it was the spark plug that they changed. I asked him to just go in and change the spark plug again. They kept coming up with excuse after excuse. I finally picked up the car at 5:15 PM. What it turned out was that they did not want to spend the four hours in labor that would take to change the spark plug. So I took it back to Lexus. I had to pay Lexus $478.13 and they wound up tightening a spark plug that they said was loose. I asked Clegg to just pay the money that I spent, and they refused. They keep talking about wanting to work with me and they were just looking out for my best interest. Clearly they weren't. They told me they spoke to Lexus and the people there exonerated them and their work, which is a lie. I called Lexus immediately after I spoke to them and they said they never said anything like that. Clegg was looking out for their own interest and getting away with not honoring their warranty. I'm sure their response to this negative review will be that they've been trying to call me or they would like me to call them to resolve the issue. But it's not getting resolved, so now I have to sue them in small claims court. Spare yourself to trouble. They may be nice, they may be polite, and their prices may be lower than everyone else, but they do not stand behind their work. They certainly do not honor their warranties. I had to take my car somewhere else to get their workmanship fixed. ETA: at 4:14 PM on the day of this review, I got a call from the general manager. His exact words to me were, "I just got off the phone with Lexus and they told me that it was not the spark plug." I then called Lexus, who said they had never spoken with the general manager, but only with Cameron, the manager of the Spanish Fork branch. When I texted the general manager back, he admitted he had never spoken to Lexus, that Cameron did. I'm glad I'm taking notes when they call, because these people clearly like to lie. I did text the general manager that if they paid me the money I was out, I would not be taking them to small claims court, and would delete this review. read more

I've taken my car for routine maintenance a couple of times now and they have provided great service. Price is fair and I've not had any problems with the work they have done. They also have very friendly staff in the front who keep you updated while you wait. read more

He save money here, but it was very inconvenient juggling around, not having her car when she need it when she expressly shared this when she made the appointment and dropped off her car at eight in the morning. 3 strikes and you are out! I have spent thousands with Cleggs on multiple vehicles. Their work was subpar but I try to give service businesses the benefit of the doubt having been in the service industry for decades. Took my Tahoe in requesting my brakes fuild replaced. This left me with squishy brakes. Took it back in after speaking to them on the phone, now I need a new master cylinder. No thanks, this was just recently replaced. Went home and did the flush myself and amazingly, no squishy brakes. Need a single bolt removed for a rear shock replacement, it was stripped. $300 later they said it was hard. Their labor rate of $125 hour somehow more than doubled for 'hard". The same time spent, the same technician, but lots more money. each visit, even with an appointment was a day-long event without the car. Even the "hour-long" bolt removal. What is the point of an appointment if we are going to be without the car all day anyway? Just to have it penciled in? Good example of over promise, under deliver....consistantly. read more

Awful and dishonest. I had a problem with the front end of my Landcruiser. I took it in to have them take a look. They charged me almost $200 for the inspection. They wanted to charge me $4000 to rebuild the entire front end of the truck. They told me I needed my oil changed because there was a sticker in the window showing the last change and it was 10k miles ago, but I changed the oil myself like 200 miles ago, so that means they wanted to charge me for an oil change and they didn't even actually inspect the condition of the oil. I told them no and wanted to get a second opinion. I had someone else look at it, it was a tire rod that was loose and needed to be tightened and the truck needed an alignment. Now my front end rides flawlessly and I got it fixed by someone else for 300 bucks. They wanted to charge me 10x what the job ended up costing me. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone for any reason. read more

Clegg's is known in the area for doing good work which is why I took our keep there recently. I was quoted $509 to fix the jeep. When they called to say it was ready to pick up, they said the cost was $709. I questioned why since I had agreed to the work for $509 and they hadn't called to tell me it would be more. He said that maybe the cost of the transmission fluid had gone up since the last time he bought it. They had only done the work they quoted. I argued about the price increase and we finally settled on $591. This was still higher than quoted but I paid it. Not sure yet if the jeep is fixed since we haven't had time to drive it much. I have gone there before without price increases over the quotes so not sure why it happened this time. read more

Do not trust this place. Took my car in to get AC recharged. $68 found a leek total now $400 to fix. Ordered wrong part so I got a phone call and another $100 + another $68 recharge. Then found out the whole AC system need replacing now $2700. Talked to them about feeling like they are scamming me or don't know what they are doing and no apology just told that is the way it is and that they don't need to fix it but I do owe $660 for nothing. Paid $660 dollars for nothing car still not fixed. Took it to the dealer, they quoted me $800 to fix it all remember they quoted me $2700. These guys either don't know what they are doing or are crooks. If I were you I would stay away. They took me for $660 and would have been a lot more if I hadn't told them no and went to the dealer. read more

I then call them at 3 and ask how it is going and they say "uh oh, we haven't looked at it and can't get to it today". Ok thats fine. Tackled the corroded on fuel filter that I was unable to remove as well. Happy with the work I needed. The staff is great to deal with and very thorough when explaining repairs and services needed. We were recently in the market for a new vehicle and Clegg Auto also deals in auto sales. It was the best experience buying a vehicle I've ever had. I was able to test drive various vehicles found at auction and didn't feel pressured to buy any of them. When a new car came to Clegg's that fit my needs they'd call me and ask me to come and test drive it. It was like having a personal shopper and I never dealt with high pressure sales pitches. We had quite the debacle going up Spanish Fork Canyon the other night. We were towing our camper trailer to Moab and just before we reached Soldier Summit, the drive shaft busted. We were stuck up the canyon for 3 hours waiting for a tow truck to help us. Once they arrived, they referred us to Clegg. We asked if they would be ok if we set up the trailer in the yard with the other broken cars for the night, and the tow driver reassured us that they would be more than ok with it. As soon as the shop opened, at 7:30, we were in the door to tell them what had happened (they also told us that it was more than ok that we had to set up camp in their back yard AND told us that it wasn't the first time it had happened). Our fears of spending thousands of dollars on a new drive shaft were obliterated when they told us that it was an easy fix that would take less than 2 hours. It was extremely affordable considering that they got us in before anyone else, let us sleep in their yard and treated us with nothing but extreme kindness. We will for sure be down to Spanish Fork again if any repairs come up again, definitely worth the drive from Murray!! Thanks guys!! read more
