very disappointed.. recently took my car in for a realignment but requested for a checkup on my rear control arms since there was a rattle coming from the passenger side thats seemed to progressively get worse, once I picked It up immediately noticed that it only got realigned and nobody even bothered to look at the rear. took it to major league auto the day after just to find out my arm was completely off and colliding with my rotor, thankfully no damage. read more

My family and I have been loyal Point S customers for years, all the way back when Jack Neilsen was the owner before his son, Damon took over. But after all of the loyal years of buying wheels, tires, oil changes, etc. for all of our vehicles, we will never come back. Long story short, I got regular tire rotations from Point S until the back left wheel on my jeep about fell off when I was driving 70mph. Scary. I pulled over and found that 3 of my lug nuts on that wheel were spinning, and the remaining 2 were loose. I inspected all of the lug nuts on my other wheels and found a few more that were extremely loose. Lug nuts do not simply loosen themselves unless they were not torqued properly to begin with. After Point S damaged my wheel to make the repair, (and tried to cover the damage with back sharpie) they handed me an almost $600 bill and blamed me for not bringing my jeep in sooner. I knew I was a little bit past the date to get it in, but Damon was very insulting and belittling to my mom and I and he lied to me by saying that the policy is to get rotations every 3,000 miles, even though the sticker in my jeep said 6,000 miles in between rotations. They also tried to blame me for it for not bringing my jeep back in to get the lug nuts re-torqued. I have always re-torqued my own lug nuts in the recommended time frame, but have never heard of needing to bring it back to a shop to have it done. Anyway, I really hope Damon feels good about that $600, because he lost thousands of future dollars from us. read more

The staff are very kind and professional. However, I went to JiffyLube (because it is closer to my home) for my next oil change and they let me know Point S had broken a piece off of my oil filter without informing me and also put the wrong kind of oil into my car. Make sure to check what is going into your vehicle before you pay them. read more

I had a complicated tire replacement job needed for my lifted and modified four door Jeep. The staff took the time to research my tire choices that would meet my needs. During the install several potentially serious problems were detected, I was informed and okayed the repairs. They picked up a badly worn ball joint and steering knuckle as well as an outer U joint And finally I have an aftermarket backup camera mounted on the spare In the spare tire change the camera was damaged but they stepped up to the plate and put on a new and actually better camera at no charge. I give Damon and the staff at the Tire Factory my highest recommendation and will continue to use them for all my tire and service needs. Good job guys read more

Bought several inner tubes at this tire shop. Didn't end up using two of them. The receipt said for returns or refunds I needed the receipt. So I brought the new inner tubes in the original, UNOPENED packaging to the shop. The guy at the front desk had some difficulty with the return, so he texted the owner. The owner said I couldn't return them. This was never mentioned at time of purchase, the receipt indicated returns were allowed, and even the guys working the desk didn't know they weren't returnable. It felt really underhanded and disingenuous. If I'd known I couldn't return them I likely wouldn't have purchased as many. Not happy!! read more

We took my wife's car here right before winter started to get her whole A/c unit fixed. The replaced every piece and charged over $3000. Due to the weather getting better we decided to use it and found out it was not fixed so we brought it back to them and they said it was a fuse and we tried again and nothing and they charged $100 for a fuse that was not the problem. If you want to have your car brought back to you with more problems then these are the guys for you. If you want quality work with quality care and professional you will steer very clear of this company. read more

I've been coming to Tire Factory Point S for a year now. I've received nothing but honest service. They always have an appointment for when I need it. (Saturdays are very busy, though - so I'd recommend getting in during the week if possible.) I've had my tire rods replaced, the brake pads and rotors on my husband's car replaced, and several oil changes on both cars and have been pleased each time. With an appointment an oil change and tire rotation takes an hour. Not the fastest service, but I just take a stroll over to the AF Library while I wait. They have complementary water and popcorn if that's of interest. Overall, consistent high quality and honesty will keep me coming back to Tire Factory Point S. read more

I don't know much about tires/mechanics, and walking up to a garage with a bunch of guys wearing jumpsuits who *do* know about such things can be uber-intimidating, but literally the moment I got out of my car and explained that my tire pressure gauge had started flashing I felt at-ease. "Sure, we can look at that for you. No problem." Whew... Turns out it wasn't just a change in temperature... I needed a bit of a repair. But again, they were super nice and super efficient -- and their waiting room even had a better array of magazine titles than any usual doctor's office, hair salon, or even the swank mini dealer I take my car to. Somehow my previous review got marked as "Not recommended". I'm sorry, ignore it if you like but my review was 100% accurate. I'd avoid these guys. Since maybe it wasn't clear from my previous review, after these guys worked on my air conditioning unit (which cycled on and off prior to going in) it simply wouldn't start, and then, in the middle of the summer, they told me they would be able to replace my compressor until Saturday. Maybe I wasn't clear on why the compressor wouldn't start. These guys reversed the relay. They turned it around. Of course the compressor wouldn't start, the relay was turned around. Relays don't go in like that. So.... what could they have done? Set the refrigerant at the right level. Bam. That was all that was needed. Instead they charged me to reload the refrigerant and then flipped around the relay. For what reason? None. The guy in the shop that actually fixed it simply turned the relay around correctly and the AC started up. Like I said, ignore my review if you like, but beware. I've thought this through a number of different ways but there is no scenario I can come up with that these guys didn't try to pull a fast one. read more

The worst auto repair guys I ever met. I started with a Groupon deal with grease monkey Draper and failed safety and emission. Could not get an appointment to fix the flex line so I start to check online and found tire point s. Reviews was not that good but since I stay near American fork , I gave them a shot to my worse regrets. They fixed the flex line for $178 and did the safety test but not emission test so I have to go back to them after failing emission test. They definitely charge me more for another $348 after changing out the valve switching valve which they claim is the issue. They told me to come back before 15 days after getting the drive cycle. read more

I've gone here for seven total years and I've never had an issue. However, for seven years it's always the same: "We don't do appointments. We don't take appointments. It's all first come for serve." Now that I don't live in the valley anymore, yet they fail to let their customers know they now take appointments?! It's ridiculous. The Bountiful Point S is always pristine and always willing to help out. We did run into an issue with American Fork Point S when we purchased tires a couple years back. Talking to the Point S in Bountiful they said American Fork Point S was cheating their customers for money, so they were kind enough to credit us on our cars for whatever we needed. I don't think I've had as bad Customer Service for anywhere for my car but American Fork Point S. It's ridiculous. DO NOT fund this location. read more

They also helped me out with a safety re-inspection at no charge. I had paid another shop the safety inspection fee, so they went out of their way to save me time. I use them for tires, brakes, alignments and even inspections/license renewals. The little things matter. for example, I had a fud-flap missing a bolt and they fixed this at no cost. read more

We took our car there thinking it needed the alignment done. When we came to pick it up, they told us the problem was MUCH larger -- the car was basically dead. They saw this immediately, but still went ahead an aligned it and charged us, even though the alignment did us no good. Sure, they just did the job we asked them to do, but I wouldn't recommend a garage that wasn't considerate enough to let us know the situation ahead of time. read more

I punctured a tire on my Silverado last weekend. I dropped it off for repair today. When I returned I learned that the tread was sliced and couldn't be repaired. These guys replaced the tire with an identical used tire in great shape with identical or slightly better tread left, and they did it for no charge. Pretty great service if you ask me. read more

I've purchased over 15 sets of tires so far in my life and have always used Big O or Discount because I felt their Nationwide name brand was a benefit. Well that changed for me. After feeling slightly pressured into a more expensive tire at Big O, I decided to head over to Discount. On my way I thought, "What the heck, might as well see what T&C could do, because my kid's car isn't going nationwide." I wish I would have checked them out 15 sets of tires ago. Their pricing for a similar tire was $10 cheaper than Discount and much cheaper than the "pitch" I was getting at Big O. They put them on quickly, had no hidden fees and then I found out they cover Nationwide too and do full service auto repairs. You better believe I'll be getting my tires rotated, balanced and maintained for free right along with my scheduled maintenance at T&C. Now I can do it all from one trustworthy place. I came into the this Tire Factory to get my tires rotated (I was a repeat customer) and to get a oil change. When I arrived to pick up my car I was told I needed new tires. I was ok with this as they were under warranty. The man at the counter then went out and looked at my tires (from 10 feet away) and said that I should be good. I figured he didn't want to have to give me new tires. This was when I had a bad feeling about this place. Our oil change covered them topping off my fluids as we were planning a family vacation. We left for a trip to California. Right before we got to Las Vegas our car shut down and we coasted off the freeway. We were in North Las Vegas and it was over 100 degrees outside. We had 4 kids in the car and the youngest was 15 months. We had to get our car towed to the nearest shop, and we had to call a cab to take the rest of the family to a hotel. The Nissan Dealership told us that it was our motor and that there wasn't any coolant in our car. They said that the coolant didn't explode and that it wasn't all over our car. The cap didn't come off or anything like that. The oil was clean. They said that there wasn't any coolant in the car. Our car needed a whole new motor! When we got back to Utah I went into T&C Tire Factory to explain what happened. He asked for the owner and the guys at the front counter would not go get him. They said, " We can help you." After asking a few times for the owner, I tried to explain what happened to the car. The guy at the counter wouldn't let me finish my story. He wouldn't let me finish 2 words before I was rudely interrupted. After showing my receipt the man (who later turned out to be the owner/ manager but didn't have the guts to tell me he was) later ripped it up and called me a prick. He later called me a asshole. They have not offered to help our get our car fixed and have offered any assistance. I understand that this business has been around 1971 and most likely pasted through the family. I am sure they would be proud of the service I have received. I think I would have been served going to Walmart. At least my car would still be running safely and my family would have been safe!. Not the worst shop I have ever used, but still would never use them again. I went here because they advertised that they matched coupons from competitors, and to their credit they did match it (although they did manage to slip in a couple extra bucks). So I dropped my SUV off for an alignment and gave them my info and left. I called a few hours later (they said they sent me a text, but I did not get it, no biggie) and they said it was done. I showed up and they had a total for me (it was a few dollars more but I did question it since they had matched the coupon, turns out I got charged three and a half bucks extra for "shop supplies" which turned out to be a missing twenty cent cotter pin, but again no biggie, just annoying). The real irritation was they didn't tell me until after I paid that they did not complete the alignment. They told me there was a bad bolt in the track bar that prevented it being correctly aligned. In the conversation following there pleasant facade, right after payment turned rude and unhelpful. Pretty much they only solution they offered was to have it towed away (at my expense of course). Needless to say I bought a replacement bolt and installed it and had to have the alignment completed elsewhere. So besides the small irritations of slipping in small fees and not contacting me, the real problem with this place, is a serious lack of customer service. I paid for an alignment that was never completed because of a two dollar bolt, and their attitude when I asked for them to work with me on it .... Well lets just say on attitude alone I would avoid this place. Not the worst place, but lots better place, and since the work they did had to be redone by another place anyway, that coupon matching, just cost me more in the end. Learned my lesson will take my business elsewhere, I advise you to as well. read more
