Auction site is literally a Cycle Trader with bidding and zero responsibility…read more 1) They don't know how Escrow works even though they offer it. I wanted to ensure a safe purchase through escrow. They charged me for their escrow service, I wired the money, and without getting the title or other collateral to confirm any articles of ownership, they wired the money directly to the seller. That's not escrow. Look it up. 2) Their "partnership" with shippers is not a true partnership. I expected a date for pick up, and after asking for updates constantly every few days, was given one, which then turned in to "Well, they got some other business and have to pick the bikes up first, so you'll have to wait". That's not a partnership, and it sure as hell isn't "white glove service". 3) They don't know the state laws around title transfers. They're hands off on the titles which makes this auction site vulnerable to scams. 4) It took over three months for me to receive and title the bike I purchased, and due to their lack of knowledge around state laws, I had to run around to rectify an issue due to one state requiring a state to witness the transfer title document. So, in a nutshell, these guys use a website to connect sellers and buyers, charge you a large fee without offering any assurances to the buyer or seller to reduce/eliminate scams, and charge for a white glove service where they don't know what they are doing and brag about partnerships they don't have. The CEO jumped in the email thread around this whole issue and I offered to detail to him the above issues, but he has not responded. Purchasing parts is one thing, but I would avoid the auctions. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Triumph Santa Monica truly is a first class motorcycle shop! Five stars, hands down!! No nonsense,…read moreno fluff, just really good people!!! When I went to Triumph Santa Monica I had already been negotiating and put a deposit on a motorcycle at another dealership. However, I saw a bike on their website that interested me. I drove over 90 miles to get there, and even though the other dealership was much closer to my home, I'm really glad I did!! As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly and with exceptional customer service by Ross. I approached him and explained what I was looking for. Ross was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He allowed me to test ride the motorcycle I was interested in before I purchased it. This is a service the other dealership and quite frankly most other dealerships refuse, but this was a huge selling point for me!! It stands out as one of the many little things that this dealership does so well, to go the extra mile, to exceed their customer's expectations, and to make the customer's purchasing experience, my experience, a true pleasure!! I had never ridden a Triumph motorcycle before and was contemplating making this significant purchase without this first hand knowledge. The crew here went above and beyond to make sure that didn't happen and to make every part of my motorcycle purchasing experience by far the best I've ever had... So much so that I am here now, writing this review to recommend Santa Monica Triumph to everyone!!! Remi, like Ross, was a pleasure to work with. There was no pressure, no haggling, just straightforward professionalism, courtesy, and a deal that was fair and easy. I even got to meet Vance the owner who was also friendly, welcoming, and down to earth. I can't speak highly enough about the entire crew. I will continue to do business here again and again.... If you're in the market for buying a motorcycle, even if it's not a Triumph, I would say make it a point to come here! Even if you have to drive more than 90 miles to get there like I did, I would still say make it a point to come here!! I'm certain that you will be treated exceptionally well, you'll find a great bike at a fair price, and if you don't make the trip, you'll be doing yourself a disservice. RS

This review is not about the people or the service; it's about the automated / AI phone service…read more It's more efficient for me to ride from Venice to Santa Monica to schedule an appointment than tap through the system and leave a message that doesn't get sent to a human. Get rid of this, please. Otherwise, contrary to Mike L's experience, I have nothing but good things to say about my interactions and experience visiting this place. Just get rid of the automated / AI crap.

I met Tyler over at Hollywood Electrics when he was working on my new (back then) 2018 Zero DSR…read more That bike has about 60k miles on it now...and that's a credit to him! He's taken care of all of the preventative maintenance and all of my off script requests. Not only on my Zero...but also on my Indian... He's got top notch skill and cares about the details. AND he takes the time to talk and explain what and why...never seems rushed. So chill... I would trust him with ANY issue on ANY bike. I would 100% recommend Tyler at Motowerkz to anyone!

I've known Tyler from Hollywood Electrics days and followed him to two other locations to work on…read moremy bike. In the last couple of months, the battery cells on my Zero motorcycle became too unbalanced and Tyler said he had a healthy (used) battery he was looking to sell. The front wheel of my Zero had also been making noises, so I refrained from riding it for several months while I proactively saved pennies on the dollar to afford to replace the battery and fix the front wheel. I do not own any other vehicle except this motorcycle. I finally took it in to Tyler and explicitly told him to look at the front wheel. He said it was "probably just age". I paid $400 up front so he could buy a part to retrofit the used battery to my bike model and an additional $2300 for the battery & labor. While picking up the bike, he made no mention of the front wheel. Exactly two weeks later with minimal rides, the front wheel gave out while on the freeway. Turns out the bearings needed to be replaced and had Tyler looked closely at the front wheel instead of just a standard test ride (which would have been done regardless), the problem would have been resolved before it got worse. In fact, he tried to justify his expertise by stating that I had only requested a bearings replacement on the rear wheel several months before. The front wheel got severely damaged from worn out bearings and front wheels are not available except on the used market. Luckily I did not get hurt. I'm out $2700 and my bike is effectively only good for parts or the scrapyard. While Tyler had allowed my bike to stay at his shop awaiting a potential replacement wheel, he would have charged $200 to transport it back to me, in addition to the $160 I paid AAA to tow it to him, so I'd be out an additional $360, over $3000 total. I trusted Tyler's expertise and now I have no motorcycle. He's been reliable in the past but this negligence & lack of properly diagnosing the issue was not only disappointing but he has shown zero accountability and would not recommend him or Motor Werks.
