We had a lot of wall damage from previous owners ripping out closet shelving. They fixed that and also replaced some missing trim and drywall patching in addition to painting. Kevin said they could even fill in the doggie door we had. So their services go beyond just paint! I'm a very detailed person and there were no mistakes by Kevin's crew. Cezar and Liam were our lead painters and they were very professional. Liam always answered the phone when I called or texted him. I also appreciate their detailed website - I learned a lot about their services and steps to quality work. We were surprised how much work goes into painting doors and were not sure if we wanted to spend the money to paint all the doors. We went ahead and did it. My first thought was WOW, it looks like we bought brand new doors! My one tip is to spend a lot of time researching your paint and trim colors, view them in daylight and with the lighting in the room. Paint samples are expensive, but repainting the whole room if you don't like it would be awful! I picked up about 20 paint samples before coming to my choices. Schultz and McGinnis Painters were the subcontractors for our kitchen remodel. They painted new…read moredrywall and primed and painted the trim and cabinetry. From the start, they were well organized and communicative, arranging for us to have a color consultation with their paint supplier, so that we would have our design decisions made when the other steps in the project were complete, and the room was ready for them. I'd say that 'meticulous' was the most appropriate word for every part of our experience with Jordan and Matt. Their web site has an entire section entitled 'Prep Work', and they truly followed through on that part of the job, making sure every surface got the proper treatment it needed (no matter how grueling) in order to ensure that the finish coats looked their best. For our cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and full sized paneled door, they took them all off site (each piece carefully wrapped), and spray painted them in the controlled conditions of their shop. For the trim and all the cabinets, Schultz and McGinnis used a Water Based Acrylic Alkyd paint, which is something I had never heard of. My understanding is that this paint has the durability and the smooth finish of an oil based paint, but is a much lower VOC product. What I can say for sure is that it looks amazing, and has stood up to the miscellaneous remaining work that took place on our project without any visible damage. Having lived with it for a couple of weeks now, I'm still thrilled with the look of their work. Schultz and McGinnis got along beautifully with our primary contractor, and their communication and coordination paid off in the results of our project. One of the support beams was on its last leg as it has suffered dry rot. Alex quickly responded to my request for quote, came out the next day, and gave me a quote. He was very thorough with his inspection and gave me a no b.s. quote. There were several other companies I got quotes from but decided to go with Alex because of his straightforward answers and great customer service. Alex and his crew came the same week and did an amazing job on the project. They were very respectful of my property and placed everything back in their place. Their work was solid. Alex took pictures and send them to me as I was at work. After they were complete, they cleaned up the area well and placed everything back. I will be hiring Alex and his crew soon to work on my porch.

The photos with captions are updates. Photos without captions are from the original review. Previous review. When I first met Joe, he seemingly promised the world. We also talked about my years of volunteering with at-risk youth, and I talked with his foreman about his kids and grandkids as I am expecting my first soon. Then the foreman mentioned twice about how he painted over the cracks and the cracks came back. You can see by the mess I have been left with as to why I believe this was due to poor, or no, prep work. While the foreman came back on two partial days, there was more major repairs and mistakes that you could see from three feet away than he could finish during that time. Plus, he add some more work as well. The picture with the "Joe M" was from the last such visit. I signed it for Joe as I got the sense that Joe was not taking ownership for such mistakes. While working with Joe, I saw another side of him beyond all the self promotion, it was the side that would ghost me and my pregnant wife and leave us in such a lurch.
