I am an avid bourbon aficionado and Clete's has been one of my go to stores for about the last three years. They have a great everyday whiskey selection, get incredible store picks (see photos) and get some highly allocated bottles as well. The owner (Amer) treats me more like a friend than a customer, which is one of many reasons I'm a store regular. I can't recommend Clete's enough.

I came in mainly looking for bourbon and I found it! Good selection of bourbon with decent pricing to match. The owner Armen was extremely helpful, kind and was willing to work with me on pricing. They are connected with 3 other stores in other cities so if you're looking for something specific let him know! He can bring in bottles from some of their other locations if they have them there. The store overall is in a good location and I felt like it was one of the better liquor stores I've bourbon hunted. Great ambiance. Definitely check them out! read more

Lots of hard to find bourbons here at acceptable secondary market prices. Check it out if you're willing to pay 2to 3 times MSRP. Prices are not as high as a lot of other places. read more

This store has the goods! Craft beers, wines, and bourbon selections, not to mention a GREAT staff, lead by owner Amer. We love supporting local businesses, especially when a relationship is built between customer and owner. This is true business owner and appreciates maintaining customer relations. Great selection on Whiskey and Wine if you looking for rarer bottles that fly off shelves now. I was welcomed when entering the store and asked if I needed anything straight off the bat, which is rare to get customer service like that. Casual liquor store but with some interesting finds. read more

This is my go to place for hard to find bourbons! Amer has a great selection of bottles and at a reasonable price, which is not common these days with bourbons. He is knowledgeable and often has great store picks! Always stop by to see what is new. Went today and they had a store pick of EH Taylor Single Barrel that I really wanted, but walked out with a bottle of Stagg. Go check them out and buy yourself a special bottle! read more

Standard liquor store, great immediate service, big selection of hard liquor. I came in for just a soda, and checked the expiration date which was less than a month away. Sodas start losing their flavor before the expiration date, so check before you buy. Other items on the shelves looked a bit dusty, and they have a fan on continously, no a/c. Typical of most package stores. read more

At night this place is always empty except for the cashiers buddies. That by itself I don't really care but he never looks away or stops talking to his friends while ringing you up. No greeting, no acknowledgement. Maybe you think you are better than me because I buy a lot of booze... but wait! Aren't I your target customer? Hey owner! The San Dimas / LaVerne market is wealthy and this is a great location, but the night dude with an attitude is killing your business. read more

Amazing customer service. If you're looking for something specific they will most likely have it. If they don't, mention it to the owner and he'll most likely get it for you. The vibe in the store is very friendly and welcoming. Their employees make sure to greet you and help you as much as possible. If you even have questions about a certain alcohol don't go on google just ask them and they'll know. Highly recommend this store! read more

Amer was super nice in the beginning. Then he put this PUNK in there and things have been uncomfotable for me when i go in. Seems to have an attitude. But now with covid, they are not supporting social distancing, yesterday went in for a bottle of cab to have with dinner. The young PUNK not only instigated me into a fight because i didnt want to come into the store while people were standing around vaping, he laughed at me, they laughed at me, as i sit in my car waiting for them to leave. Their messing around for fifteen minutes, laughing, finally left. I go in say something and he comes back at me with a very disrespectful tone, makes me angry, we have words, i leave upset and say I'm never coming back, to which he replies "we dont need your business" Im 60. Hes about 19!!!! Disrespectful, unprofessional, doesnt care about keeping customers safe. Ive lived in san dimas all my life and im shocked at the disrespect for community these people have!!! read more

You don't want to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and.. it's always best to go in the daytime if possible not late at night. This is my favorite liquor store. The new owner has made a real effort to hire staff that is always friendly and bright. And they keep my drink in stock. One time due to a change in contracting they ran short on the "Ernest and Julio" manhattans in the cans. No worries, they went to a neighboring liquor store and bought a case so I would not be inconvenienced. I'm happy they have a new variety of local craft beers as well. Such a pleasure to see the efforts in updating the venue which nois bright and sparkling. And immaculately kept. And they took the trouble to work with the city of San Dimas to regulate the parking in front of the venue two 15-minutes zones in front;that's a new and a big help in terms of easy access which was previously a problem. I love this place!!! It is a great spot to grab drinks, snacks, and has an awesome variety of IPA! Every single worker there is awesome. They treat you like family. By far the best! The owner and staff are all so nice and friendly. Amer always makes sure to keep the wine I like stocked and chilled. They ask about my family, my day, etc and even throw in treats for my kids once and awhile. Fantastic customer service and selection of products! read more

What a hidden gym !! The owner Amer is very nice guy loves bourbon and knows his shit.. Great whiskey selection and a lot of hard to find bottles,Wellers, EH Tyler, Blanton and more. Fair prices and great customer service. Definitely going back. read more
