Came in 30 min before closing on a week night needing a beer after a rough shift. I felt safe at this location and they had a great beer selection. I love this liquor store. It's been here for at least 60 years. When it was built, there was nothing else around it. Open fields, orange and lemon groves, nothingness. It was out in the middle of nowhere! Wish it was still that way. This liquor store is on the border of Pomona and La Verne. Yes, it's in crime infested Pomona but it's not deep into Pomona enough to be terrible yet. This is a great liquor store! They stock a HUGE selection of craft beer. Easily more selection than your typical liquor store. Lot's of the beer they have are from smaller & local breweries. I also like to buy Super Lotto tickets here. Because.... if I ever win, I want this place to get a piece of the action. Never buy your lottery tickets at big name gas stations (AM/PM), corporate stores (BevMo), or places like 7-11. Avoid them. Always get your lottery tickets, liquor, cigarettes etc, from a small independent place like this liquor store! Always support the little guys, not the big guys. That's what keeps America going! As with being inside any liquor store, always be aware of your surroundings. You don't want to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and.. it's always best to go in the daytime if possible not late at night. I recommend this liquor store because they have such an excellent (and large) selection of craft beer, historical building and location, their own parking lot, and the neighborhood is not too bad yet. Dear Super Stop, It's Fathers Day today, and as I'm thinking about my dad, I notice you in a lot of those memories. Pulling up in his work truck as a toddler, going in with him to get a 6 pack and bag of sunflower seeds. Going in with him as a little kid and picking out a Flinstones Push-up Pop from the freezer. Going with him to service the ice machine on a Saturday morning, impatiently waiting for him to finish while eating a bag of M&Ms and watching your little TV. But it's not just those memories that you're a part of. You're there when I think about my childhood. Riding my bike up the street to get an apple juice. Running in with my bff Stephanie, who lived in the apts next door, and buying handfuls of candy with money we found in our couches and left over allowances. Walking up to you, early in the morning on a Sunday, to buy eggs or tortillas so my mom and I could make breakfast for our family. You're there in my teenage memories, too. Coming in giggling with my friends and cleaning you out of toilet paper so we could go TP a rival team. Spending an hour reading Seventeen, Teen and Cosmo while observing the liquor store habits of my neighborhood. Pulling up in a limo on my 16th bday to buy a box of pads for my friend who just happened to get her first period right at that moment. Rushing in, full Homecoming dress and all, and buying a pack of mints because I knew that kiss was coming. Buying ice cream and cookies, months later, when he broke my heart. Somehow, you stuck with me, and when I think of my 20's, you're there, too. Mike scolding me for trying to buy a six pack 2 days before my 21st birthday (and then buying it for me on my actual birthday). Spending an entire summer exploring their beer selection. Coming in with my girlfriends, in full club attire - a flurry of glitter, lipgloss and Victoria's Secret body sprays - clicking our heels up and down the aisles. Coming in for the hard stuff, the first Christmas we spent with my parents in another state. Coming in with a fistful of cash, on a beer run for everyone back at the house who is watching the fight. Mike asking me how my dad, brother and sister are. Him knowing that my dad prefers Miller Light, but my brother in law likes the hard stuff. When I go in these days, I can't help thinking of my pops. I walk in knowing he's walked under the same doorway. I do the usual immediate look to my left to say hello to whoever is at the register that day, knowing he's done the exact same countless times. Been coming here EVERYDAY for well over a year. Boughten 2 puff bars, first one I ever got here was TRASH. Tasted like burnt popcorn, bought a second thinking "it's been a while.. maybe they got fresher ones" nope. Tasted horrible, yet again. And the new worker there is absolutely horrible. I'm in a hurry and she takes her sweet ass time bc she has to call someone to verify if she can replace or not. and then says they won't replace it? Waste of time, horrible customer service from her, and waste of money. Everywhere else I go and there's an issue w those pens, they replace it no problem. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Great liquor store. I popped in one day while walking around the neighborhood and was pleasantly surprised by the great beer selection. They have many imported beers as well as many beers from the local breweries. One of my favorite beers is the Franziskaner Weissbier and they always have it in stock. And to think I used to drive to BevMo in the past. No more. They a wide variety of hard alcohol as well. The prices are a little higher than the big stores (Target, Bevmo, Total Wine, etc) but we all should support small businesses so it's worth it to me. read more

Saw great reviews about this place and wanted to grab a nice six pack of Craft Beer for the evening. The photos on Yelp make the place look much bigger than it is. The beer selection was average, as was the price, $9.99 for Deschutes Jubelale. No prices marked, $0.75 charge for credit card and after I got home realized the best used by date was 7 months ago. The clerk was very unhelpful and not so friendly. I don't understand where the five stars come from. read more
