I've been coming here for years. People that work here are friendly and helpful. The sandwiches here are always on point. The deli is now run by someone different and the quality has not dropped off. I've never had a problem here before. The typical cashier (younger guy) is always so nice and helpful. Went in today and the owner was there barking out orders at the younger guy who was trying to help me. I asked about the price of a liquor in the locked cabinet for my dad who's a collector and the owner said "it's a hundred something!" I said "Seriously?! That seems really cheap!" The younger guy walked around the counter to open the cabinet to get a real price and the owner said "don't open it! I already told her it's a hundred something!" The younger man opened it anyways to check the price and it was actually $259.00. So moral of the story get the RUDE, clueless owner out of there and let your employee actually serve the costumers cause you sir don't know what your doing! I love smoked barbecue, so after reading the other reviews, I was excited to check this place out. This review is solely for the deli counter. The cashier up front was awesome and very helpful in helping me chose a delicious blonde ale. Thank you! First off this is a dingy, medium sized, liquor store with a very small deli counter. It's extremely grass roots and not for the faint of heart. There were two flies just chilling on a random pizza box and caked dust, dirt and grime--everywhere. I mistakenly looked at a horse bridle that was hanging up on the wall (to right of the soda machine) that had about an inch of black, chunky, dust and debris on it. Needless to say, after seeing all of this, my appetite started to dissipate. I think if I had not ordered my food, I would have left, but I was starving and this is where it became torture... The girl at the counter was nice enough, but the whole operation didn't seem very organized, at all. There was an older man (the owner I believe) making everything in the back. There were a few people in front of me and it took about thirty minutes to receive my tri tip sandwich and baked beans. The older man was overly apologetic for the wait time, but he just seemed a bit overwhelmed by everything, even when handing me my food. In diving in, the baked beans were fantastic! Big chunks of smoked sausage with peppers, onions and a perfectly sweet and smoked flavor. The tri tip was just eh. It was really dry and although the bun was soft, it was really nothing special. There was also a lot of fat on it that hadn't been trimmed off. I didn't realize this until biting into it. The barbecue sauce was not all that great, unfortunately. Well, damn. I'm a southern barbecue girl through and through, but this place with it's laxed cleanliness, dry/fatty tri tip, and long wait time, just didn't cut it for me :/ read more

This place has a nice assortment of craft and import beers. The selection on alcohol is decent and the amount of hood liquor is good. The only problem I have with this place is their grill guy. You will usually find him out front during the week with a couple of guys yelling profanities at each other and generally pushing away customers. One day I was passing by the tables out front and saw them all rolling blunts and giving off a very negative vibe. They all tried to stare me down and act like want to be thugs. Great way to act guys! Just a tip: If you're going to be doing something illegal in front of people and a well known establishment, don't be dicks to customers that have yelp accounts. read more

Who knew that this random liquor store makes some of the best pastry in the IE? I worked at a company where the secretaries often ordered pastries from this whole in the wall deli for breakfast/early meetings with clients. Since that the office relocated to Claremont the secretaries are ordering more from Some Crust Bakery in the Village . However, I very much prefer the pastries from here. The cinnamon rolls and danishes are soft and chewy kinda like Cinnabon cinnamon rolls (just not so gooey). However, the pastry that they sell at the store is only so-so. I loved the pastry at work so much that I asked for the address and drove all the way to San Dimas for them. Maybe all the fresh and good pastries sold out by the time I got to the liquor store in the late afternoon? Everything was wrapped in plastic wrap and taste only kinda good. Apparently I am not the only fan of Ranch Town. You can usually find a police car and policemen loitering here. read more

THE BAD: -closes too early in my opinion THE DECISION: I've been coming to Ranch Town since I was a kid. I wouldn't know what San Dimas would be without it. It's definitely one of the best liquor stores I've been too regarding alcohol selection and price. As far as the food, well...NOT ONLY do they have the typical snack options BUT they have a bunch of other stuff you won't find elsewhere like locally home made beef jerky and huge ass pastries bigger than your overweight uncle's face! Only been once and that was mainly to pay a phone bill. "- ) Yep. If you have a Verizon land line or some other bill you can pay them here. It was a dollar fifty surcharge to pay the bill and it has to be in cash but that was better than hauling tush to the West Covina Verizon location. Don't know how much it is to pay others. This is a regular liquor store but they DO have a deli in the back. There IS a Yelp check in so do that before you go. I think it's worth a percentage off your bill at the deli. Had the roast beef & pastrami. Good sandwich! Could only eat half, though. Biggy B has a review up that sounds like he's a regular. His would be the better one to read. The gentleman who was at the register is the owner, I think. He said this place has been around since the 70's! He was very nice and so were the ladies in the deli. What a 'Craphole' . This is located in San Dimas and should actually be in Pomona . The liquor store has a ( AND I USE THE WORD LOOSELY ), BBQ area in the back . Both the Guy at the Front Counter and especially the Woman in the BBQ area have a crappy disposition and act as if their doing you a favor. I've come in here 3 times over the course of 2 months and either they fight with each other constantly, or they just shouldn't be in business . For your own information .......... They had a shooting /drive by in the parking lot approximately 10 months ago. Obviously some disgruntled customers . This place has really good food! My job ordered food from here for us which included fried chicken, tri tip, baked beans, macaroni salad, and rolls... food was so good i had to bring my husband! We got the tri tip sandwich with baked beans and corn bread... he loved it!! We will definitely be back.. only part i was sad about was that there was no pulled pork! Very unhappy today! I bought a pastrami dip, the meat was burnt! Ive had a pastrami from here before it was good.

I've ate here only a couple of times but have bought liquor here for a long time. I have always had a good experience with the clerk's here they are pretty helpful. As far as my experience with the deli side has been great. I will admit it is a little dingy and could use a good cleaning. There is dust built up all over the bottom of the deli counter. It has the same feel as a good dive bar. I will say that the sandwiches that I have had are really good. I recommend the "wrangler". read more

This is a great little store with a large selection and it has a deli attached. The deli is great for dropping in and getting potato salad or cold cut sandwich. Grab a bite to eat with your purchase or just stop by, either way it's good food. The staff are friendly and always pleasant to talk to. The other thing I like is that on the weekend they have a BBQ and slow cooker in the parking lot. The meats are delicious. read more

Rude, Rude, Rude, Rude. I came in the other day with my six year old son. I decided to stop in because I was curious about the BBQ pit that they had outside, in addition, to my son also needing to use the restroom. So I figured I could inquire about their bbq and have my son use their restroom. My son really had to use the rest room really bad, so I decided to inquire about their restroom first. When I got in I asked if my son could use their rest room and they, looked at me as if I was from a foreign planet and had the audacity to lie to me and say they didn't have a restroom. I should of asked, "so where do you use your restroom". I would of preferred for them not lie to me and just say that their restroom was not for public use. If they would of showed a bit of empathy I probably wouldn't even wrote a review. But because of their attitude, I left so upset and sadden by their disrespect. I wouldn't eat here, or do business with them because their customer service is horrible!!!! I could of been a potential customer, and/ or a referral, but my first impressions will be my lasting expression with this place. read more
