I'm late submitting this one. We'll start from the beginning... Dec 2023! We had been on the hunt…read morefor a very specific model 5th Wheel for quite a while and with it just rolling into Jan 2024, those 2023 models were on awesome close out prices and we found it at Blue Compass in Pasco, WA. We live in AK, so we have been prepared all along to take a road trip to pick one up. The moment we called for more info, the salesman was super energetic and motivated to help us. He was quick to send us info, quotes for additional upgrades and even a tour via FaceTime. He also assured us that management would allow us to store the unit there until May, when it's safe to make the drive through Alaska and Canada. We were thrilled. We decided to go the easy route and just go through them with financing, so we gave a cc to put money down to hold it and waited to hear from the finance person the next day. We randomly get a call that everything looks good, but they want more money. Enter confused look! The salesman says they will need a percentage down to move forward with the financing, that it's a requirement. Sigh... we're told that there are no lenders that will do 100% financing and they need at least 10%.... Sigh.... Okay. The financing gal calls later in the day and and comes back with this ridiculous APR and I questioned it... literally "Are you sure that's the best you can get us... blah blah blah"? She assured us it was because of the horrible economy but that it would be easy to refinance to a lower rate this summer. Fair enough... this is a high dollar item. We decided we would move forward.... Booked airline tickets, hotel and car to head down to take care of the paperwork in a day. The next day, a little bothered by the APR, we find out our very own bank will do RV loans to this caliber, their loan rates are lower and we weren't required to put anything down. Wait... what?! Literally done in 10 minutes and received the loan check the next day! Well... it turns out they don't want you to get a better deal with your own lender and they were pissed! After a lot of heated back and forth, I finally asked if they were reneging on the deal and they didn't. We fly down, sign their paperwork and the tension was THICK with management and the finance gal! We did a walk through, pointed out numerous things that needed to be fixed on the list and honestly left happy because of the salesman Zack. Fast forward to the beginning of April, I had been in contact with the service department numerous times to ensure the punch list is done and set the appointment for our arrival in the middle of the month. Several texts with Zack on the drive down the Alcan, assuring him we would be there at this specific day, first thing when they open! Cool, everything is set and we are super excited. We arrive at opening and nobody knows who we are, that we're there to pick up a rig or anything. The service guy was off that day and didn't tell anyone apparently. The rig is pulled out of the lot, filthy with bird poop in numerous spots and they can't clean it for us either. None of the repairs were done, they seemed annoyed when we asked to show us a few things and admittedly, we were pretty pissed with the service department, they were definitely lacking on every level! We requested several things be mailed to us and we would fix them ourselves and here is it, I'm finishing this review in July 2025 and we've never heard from them again. No checking in to see how our rig is, if we're happy with it, if there's anything they missed or anything... and honestly, it's probably for the best. We love our rig, the salesman Zack was amazing... absolutely nothing else to say positive about our experience with BC though.

I purchased my RV from Blue Compass RV (formerly Blue Dog) in February. My sales rep was fantastic…read moreand the only reason I initially chose this dealership. Unfortunately, everything after the sale went downhill fast. I was forced to return three separate times to re-sign financing paperwork due to repeated errors made by their finance team. Despite voicing my growing concerns about the loan status, I was constantly reassured by finance (Lozano) and management (Alison) that "everything is fine." That was a lie. Eventually, I called the bank myself -- they had no record of me. Only during my third re-sign, after I insisted, did we call the bank together and finally confirm my loan was approved. Because of all the dealership's delays and errors, I was told -- in front of a bank rep -- that the dealership would make the first loan payment. But once I got online access to the loan, it was marked PAST DUE. No payment had been made. I reached out immediately -- no response. Just a vague text from Alison saying Lozano wasn't in. No one ever followed up. Blue Compass RV made a verbal promise to correct a mistake they caused, and then ghosted me when it was time to follow through. Now I'm left dealing with a late loan, credit risk, and zero accountability. Would never recommend. Once the sale is done, you're on your own.

My husband and I are relatively new to the area and have visited and called Russ Dean Family RV…read moreseveral times now. We purchased our fifth wheel in TX and have traveled extensively with it and have visited multiple RV service centers during our travels. Russ Dean is by far the best in service, knowledge and friendliness. The quality of service has been consistent with each visit and/or call. We came in for a minor recall repair the first time and Blake in service actually came out and showed us what was repaired. Keep in mind, this was a recall repair, so no money was exchanged. He truly cared about the work that was done and us as customers. He even very patiently answered other questions we had. Since then, both my husband and I have called the parts department, and they too have completely exceeded our expectations. The parts guy (I wish I could remember his name) was extremely patient when I was asking about a part I needed and he went so far as to send me a picture of it! My husband had a tire blow out, which caused extensive damage. He couldn't bring it in for service, but the parts guy spent quite a bit of time with him over the phone, helping him order the right parts. The most recent unbelievably crazy high level of customer service we experienced was when we needed our fifth wheel winterized. My husband is deployed and wasn't able to bring it in for winterizing. He emailed the service dept and asked if they offered a mobile service or if they had someone they could recommend. Mike, the Customer Care Manager, said due to our special circumstance and in support of the military, they would come and take our giant 42' fifth wheel to their shop, winterize it, and return it! Who does that?! It's not like we live just down the road either. He explained that he's able to offer this service because it's not as busy in the winter months and they want to do whatever they can to support our military. Even the man who came out to take our fifth wheel, Joe, was extremely courteous and genuinely nice. Oh, and his driving skills in maneuvering our fifth wheel were beyond belief! It would make my husband green with envy. I have never experienced this level of service and generosity! I saw the few negative reviews on here, but I hope you'll notice that someone from Russ Dean responded to each one of them. There will always be some customers that are unhappy with something from every business, but not all businesses take the time to address it. As long as my husband and I continue to live in the area, Russ Dean Family RV will be the only place we will use for service, and when we're ready to trade in our fifth wheel, they will definitely get our business. We've never had such great personal service that went way above our expectations, from any dealership.

The bait and…read moreswitch the financing, the tell you this story about getting a service contract and it only raises your payment a reasonable amount... that is the bait part the switch part is when they then charge you an 11,250 service contract fee another 1999 for tire and wheel fees another 2995 pain/fabric protection and another 1895 for roadside assistance.. so an additional 18466. that is unexpected, SO BEWARE if you ask any questions they say ya it's covered in the contract but they fail to tell you that you are paying a rediculas fee, the make it sound like the higher monthly payment that you chose to get all this coverage was the service contract. They also keep you away from the how much is this going to cost me part by changing the subject. So it was my bad I should have been more diligent and looked at the forms closer, but by the time you get to the point of signing your life away you just want to get out of there and they rush you through the process. Also don't fall for the (if you finance for 8 months you we will lower the price by 9999) I don't see that anywhere on the contract. They are incompetent, complete waste of time and money including sales and maintenance shop. I bought a new RV last October and when it was supposedly ready for delivery they lost the keys so had to wait for them to rekey so now have a key for each door, dmv paperwork was incomplete and a missing, and a missing door to a room they promised to replace and never happened or even responded status. The worst part was a simple upgrade on installation of inverter was completely wired incorrectly which was a fire hazard in which minor electrical fire ruined our first camping trip and could have turned out to be a tragedy. RV could have completely burned if we were not there to put out electrical fire. The shop there led by *** are complete idiots and dont stand behind their worthless work. This was a serious matter which should have been taken care of immediately by any reputable shop. They ignored many calls and emails about this and finally they gave me BS response denying responsibility and claim. They first promised to reimburse the cost of repairs from Camping World which they clearly explained and included pictures of what and how they fixed the mess AppleWay RV left behind. They sent a detailed report with pictures which AppleWay RV initially accepted responsibility and agreed to reimburse these costs. Current ownership is now claiming its the previous Appleway RV dealer owners responsibility while Im stuck in the middle and my expense. This place is a complete joke and should not be allowed to be in business. The positive reviews could very well be fake as they are nothing like what they represent so be aware and stay clear of these incompetent crooks. I have this situation clearly documented since October been going back and forth with them. Finally over 6 months later their position is that current owners have no responsibility going forward. Nonsense excuse. Stay away from these crooks.
