However, some…read more16 years later, we were told by a well known refrigeration company that our A/C needed to be replaced with a new one (which was going to cost us about $12k!). This well known company told us the replacement was necessary due to: #1. Our A/C unit was 16 years old and allegedly A/C units don't last that long and #2. it had a leak that neither the technician nor the owner could find. I called Triangle Cooling to get a second opinion. The owner (Antonio) confirmed that there was a leak and he couldn't find it either. However, he told us the fact that he couldn't find the leak irritated him so he and another technician TOOK OUR AC UNIT APART! Did you hear me? They found the leak and fixed it and told us we did NOT need a new unit and that our current unit would easily last another 6 to 7 years! Who is going to be THAT honest?! We also recently had issues with the water getting cold too quick after showers. We called Triangle again. And, one of their technicians recommended a larger capacity hot water heater. I don't know a thing about what to buy or where. So, one of the technicians made recommendations on which ones were the best along with which ones were most affordable. Then, they purchased the one we selected and installed it for substantially less than the quotes we received from other cooling and heating companies. At this point, my wife and I have decided that there's no reason for us to even do business with other a/c companies. Not only have we found Triangle's crew to be super courteous, especially when we asked stupid questions, but, they have been extremely honest. If we could do more than 5 stars, we would!

The camera was pulled so rapidly through the line that this very crucial part of the pipe was not obvious/noticed. I contacted Donley through email on Monday morning looking for some sort of explanation as to why it was missed- no call back. I called them on Tuesday about 12pm after not hearing anything. Got a call back from a hotheaded man named Steve who was confrontational and ready to fight from the moment we started talking. "I don't see it, we didn't miss anything, don't know what you're talking about"- is basically how it went- Extremely defensive and unnecessary. He just acted as though it wasn't present during the inspection and it wasn't their problem. It was there. This didn't just happen. It was missed. I liked the guy fine that performed the inspection, but he blew that camera through everything too quickly. Isn't that what an inspection is? Finding things that aren't obvious? Simple as that. Only thing Steve did was guarantee that I will leave reviews on every platform I can. He needs to CALM down and not attack a homeowner who is trying to find out what happened.

I didn't end up getting to have Shane out to service our AC but I wanted to review my experience…read moreanyway. It's an excessive heat warning day and our AC started blowing hot air. My husband and I work from home and our poor dog is here too. The inside of the house was up to 96 degrees by 1pm and we couldn't get a hold of our regular AC guy so we started calling around. The big companies like Parker and Rainforest couldn't come out same day, neither could any of the top businesses that came up when I searched Yelp. I went on Nextdoor and saw two neighbors that recommended Shane at A/C Works so I called him. He said he could come out within the hour (my hero) and he was very pleasant on the phone. Unfortunately our regular AC guy showed up just a few minutes later after having received the voicemail my husband left him so I had to call Shane back and cancel. I felt terrible but he was very understanding and kind. I saved his info for next time, and while I can't yet comment on any actual service from A/C Works, I would highly recommend giving them a try based on my experience.
