Contacted Climate Masters beginning of last week due to AC not working. Chuck came out next day. He diagnosed problem with Evap Coil part. He saw the unit was not that old and probably covered under warranty. He said he would confirm and have Kimmie get back to me. (Note: I have been using Climate Masters for 18 years. They installed the original units. About 4 years ago both our units went out and were replaced by a family friend. That was discussed with Chuck). I ended up calling her the next day in the late afternoon as I did not receive a call. She said the part was ordered. Two days later I called to check on the status. She said she still did not have the part. Six days later, I called again in the afternoon (after most companies deliver parts), she said they still didnt have the part. The next morning before 9 am, she called to schedule install for the following day. I was told it was going to be $25 for every 15 minutes plus any parts-materials as the warranty only covered the bad part. Service tech Jeff T. arrived about 8:20. He installed part and recharged with coolant. He advised me he was out of coolant and had to go back to the shop. It took him about 25 minutes for the round trip. He completed charging the system. He then sat in the driveway for another 25 minutes. I was waiting to leave so I went out and asked him how much longer. He said he was waiting on Chuck to tell him how much to charge. He came in a couple minutes later and said the bill is for 3 hours work. I disputed the three hours as 50 minutes of it was sitting in the truck waiting for chuck and returning to the shop to get coolant which he should have had in the first place. Jeff got irritated and said he would have to call Chuck. He went back out to his truck. After a couple minutes, I went out and asked what was going on as I had to leave. He said the bill is the bill. I told him my discrepancies with the bill and he said, they warrantied a part on a unit that I had a friend install. I told him that if they did not want to do that they should have said so. I also advised him that I had suspected they were making me wait due to that issue. He just shrugged his shoulder. His customer service was horrible. I asked to speak with Chuck but was not allowed to. I wrote a check for the amount minus a half hour and he said he would not accept it. He also refused to accept an online coupon. We agreed to a price and he stated he would take that price but they will never respond to a call for me. I told him he did not have to worry because I will never call them again. Jeff was unprofessional and deceptive in his billing practice. I have never had a problem with this company before but I will never have one since I wont be calling them again. I recommend that if they didnt put in your system, call someone else since that seems to be the crux of the problem. Interesting enough, neither Chuck or Kimmie called me to try and resolve the issue. Poor customer service. read more

Found this business on Angie's list. Entered my info and had a call back within 5 minutes! The girl on the phone was extremely nice and met my schedule and had someone at my house the same day ( only a few hours later ). I received a call from the technician Shawn and he let me know he was on his way. He asked a few questions on the phone and immediately upon arriving he was out of the van and right to work. He was extremely polite, very knowledgeable, and looked to be very good at his craft. He quickly troubleshot my A/C issue and fixed it fast, all while explaining why and what he was doing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone I know who needs heating A/C anything! As a person who has been in the trades for nearly 2 decades, Shawn is the type of employee every company searches to have. Last year I wrote a review to say I was pleased with the service and installation of my new furnace/air conditioner. I came home yesterday to a hot house. My neighbor said her repairman noticed a freon leak from my unit. Dang it's a year old. So I called the service line and got a return call within minutes from Chuck. He said they will be sure to come and check on that right away. Kimie called in the morning and scheduled someone before 1 o'clock. Jeff came with freon and solder and went to work. Less than an hour and my a/c was up and running. So, how much do I owe? The unit is one year and 2 weeks old??? NOTHING!!!!! SERIOUSLY Nothing!! 10 year parts and labor! Fantastic job by Shawn to understand our HVAC system before trying to fix things. He was able to understand the problems we were having and to set our expectations of what our current system is capable of and what our limitations are. After completing a thorough walk-through of the duct work, including getting into the attic, he was able to make small adjustments to the system that helped increase air flow to the upstairs bedrooms. Additionally, but inspecting and cleaning the AC unit, he found it to be incredibly overcharged. Removing the excess pressure allowed the unit to run more efficiently and saved it from "blowing up" (his words). read more

He reviewed another company's technician's assessment that had troubled me and was very helpful in showing me why the other company was just trying to get more business that was not required. Further, he actually demonstrated to me why he came to his conclusion. We will be switching to Climate Master for all our routine fall and spring cleanings. Superb customer service, I called late in the day nonetheless Kimie the office manager could not have been more helpful. She asked me a few questions regarding the issue I was having with my AC unit and quickly assessed the situation. She was able to send Shawn (Service Pro) within a half hour after I called them. Climate masters installed our new air conditioning system first of all they had to drive a couple of hours to get to my house but they made it on time even a few minutes early. They worked non stop and my house is a cape cod so they had a lot of extra work to do but they got the job done and it worked right away. Even made sure they cleaned up the mess that they made. I paid for the current fall cleaning and booked a spring air conditioning cleaning, per a contract we signed allowing for future discounts on service, repairs and a pound of refrigerant included if needed.
