Wow, what an experience! Had never been to any type of rock climbing gym before I visited this one and I was a little nervous. Heights aren't exactly my thing. The guy working, Max, was so super friendly! He walked us through all the safety instructions and was very patient with all the questions I had for him. This gym has harnesses and ropes so once you get to the top you just push yourself off the wall and "float" down. It was so much fun!!! He also gave helpful tips on how to successfully make it up the wall (it is not as easy as you may think!). My friend and I went on a Tuesday afternoon and we were the only ones in the rock climbing area which was super nice! We got Max's undivided attention. Though they also have indoor soccer here and we were told that they have games and tournaments that I would love to come back and watch. read more

The location of this place is quite a challenge to get to. Google maps isn't of any help either. If you are coming from 59 north, take Bellaire/Fondren exit and once you get on the feeder Rd, take the first left past Italian Superbikes building. Once you see an open lot on your right side with luxury cars parked in it then YOU MADE IT! If you're coming from 59 south, take Hillcroft/West Park exit, make a u-turn and follow the latter half of the first instruction. I honestly circled around that placed about 3 to 4 times and I was almost ready to give up and go home lol. Trust me, the instructions above will save you time and FRUSTRATION. Place looks a bit sketchy I'll give you that, but I thought to myself.. hey if there are tons of luxury cars here, I know my car will be the last thing people will even bother messing with. TRUTH. Btw, I figured.. those cars belong to those guys who plays soccer in the same establishment. They have indoor soccer field as well. Now that we got that taken care of, we move on to the important stuff. This was my first indoor wall climbing experience and I was excited, scared, anxious - all the same time. I've always been interested in wall climbing but never really had the guts to actually try it out. I came here clueless, thinking I was going to depend on my cousin (who came along with me and who is also an experienced climber) to deal with my what-to-do and how-to-do kind of stuff questions. Luckily, Sergio (the instructor) was patient and accommodating enough to address my shenanigans. He thoroughly explained the rules, how-tos, and whatnot. He was also very generous enough to offer us a 50% discount our next climb! Set-up was pretty basic and straight to the point. You start on the right side if you're a beginner and gradually move your way to the left side as you get more advanced. It can be a little intimidating at first but you'll eventually get the hang of it. The routes/tracks are changed on a monthly basis if I remember correctly. The wall, equipments, and the area are vert well-kept! Absolutely coming back and recommending to friends. Such a challenging yet enjoyable experience! read more

I really was trying very hard to do some business here, to set up a small group activity as a tester for a bigger group. The first time I called I spoke with somebody Who gave me great information, but since it was being set up as a group, he said to the manager would call me back. I was really excited about the activity. He never called me back. I sent two emails from their contact on their website and left two voice messages on the phone number listed here. I even talked to somebody one other time and asked for the manager to call me back. Two weeks waiting. Can't do business like this and expect big groups. read more

My husband and I bought a groupon deal for indoor rock climbing on a whim as part of our anniversary weekend. We purchased two of the one day passes with the climbing class. When we arrived it was in a sports complex in a very sketchy area of Bellaire/Houston right by an abandoned shopping center. This had us a bit uneasy. The inside of the building is definitely not in good condition - furniture ripped and worn, paint peeling on walls, and mildew smell. However, we were greeted by a nice staff member who led us to the rock climbing wall which is in the same area as a large indoor soccer field. He got us our equipment and shoes and then that was practically it. We definitely paid extra for an imaginary class. The staff member left the room that we were in and said that he would check on us periodically which did not happen in the three hours we were there. Overall, the wall was in nice condition with easy to expert paths to take. We were provided chalk which made climbing much easier. Not the best experience overall, but we did have some fun. read more

This place always looks sketch bc of the neighborhood. They repaired the giant hole in the parking lot since my last visit (last year). Got some good deals on a Groupon with some buddies. JJ was the representative working that day. He was excited to help us with the challenging routes. He's really passionate about climbing and your safety. It's never crowded here so the atmosphere is always casual and you never have to wait on a wall. This business is apart of an indoor athletic center called Sports 59, and the building itself is in located Plazas Americas (a.k.a. Sharpstown Mall). It is a very old building and the outside and inside reflects that - it looks kind of sketchy and smells of mildew when you walk in. There's a help desk immediately to your left when you walk in and they'll direct you to the back when you ask about Climb 59. I had bought a Groupon and didn't have any problems redeeming it. Process is pretty straight forward: sign a safety waiver, get your harness and shoes, get a brief how-to course, and then you're on your own. My boyfriend and I were able to climb for however long we wanted, but honestly after a couple hours we were beat! I think this place is a great value for first-timers and people who are just getting into the sport. This isn't a facility that's dedicated to rock climbing, but they have about 10-15 different "courses" which are in order from easiest to hardest. I would come here again! read more

My BIL took my then 11 year old daughter here for some rock climbing. She always like to climb walls whenever we are at an amusement park or anywhere that has them. This place has maybe 6 or 7 paths that are of various difficulty. This includes a section of under hanging holds. She had a great time and my BIL had some Groupon so it was pretty inexpensive. This was really fun! When you walk in, go past the front desk to the left and enter the first indoor soccer field. The climbing area is to toward the back, and there's an associate there to help you get checked in and give you gear. We had an awesome time and we're super sore the next day but will def return. We had a great time in Climb 59. Sergio, guided us to the different paths available and gave us good tips as beginners. There are many different routes, some suitable for beginners and other for experienced climbers (or at least with more experience than us). We are planning to go back soon because it was a good and fun workout. There are also a couple of fields of indoor soccer in this facility, clean restrooms and a place to buy water/gatorade. read more
