The team at DB events and specifically Hema Baji and Sajid Bhai were AMAZING to work with. Hema was so sweet and understanding and I never once felt she was trying to upsell us like other decorators. During my meeting with Hema and Sajid, I felt so comfortable sharing all my decor ideas, even if the ideas were out of my price range...they never ONCE made me feel like I couldn't have that at my wedding. They have the sweetest personalities and are also extremely detailed-oriented, maintain the utmost professionalism, and know exactly what they are doing! Hema is a careful listener, and will take your words and photos you suggest, and make them a reality for your wedding day. The team at DB were extremely accommodating and kind throughout the process. In life nothing is gonna be perfect and this team really tries their best and I feel went above and beyond to make the venue look as beautiful as possible and they did. I couldn't ask for more. I highly recommend them and feel that they were the most reasonable and reasonably priced people to work with for an event. I have no reservations recommending DB events and their services! ***I also want to add that my original wedding date was affected by the devastation from hurricane Harvey. My house, venues, masjid were all damaged and I was back to square one with all my wedding preparations. With the help and assistance from DB's team I was able to book another venue in 2 weeks. At this time the entire city of Houston was destroyed, the airport was shut down and highways were under water -- but MIRACULOUSLY Hema had FRESH flower arrangements at my wedding (on the stage and as centerpieces). I still don't know how she did that because local florists and grocery stores didn't have any orders delivered to them because of Hurricane Harvey. If anyone who knows me, agrees that I am a type A personality that plans everything to the very last detail. That being said why did I hire a wedding planner? Well, as much planning and preparation you do going into a wedding, the one thing you CANNOT do is stand there and make sure everything is going correctly AND be the actual groom. (Also, the venue required us to have at least a day of coordinator) This was one of the last vendors I hired when I was going through my wedding planning. Like I said I was doing most of the work myself as far as coordinating but I did need a day of coordinator. I honestly, did not know what their true role would be. I had met Lindsay when I first toured The Gallery (my wedding venue), and loved her personality and knowledge. So when I was ready to book a day of coordinator she was my first choice. Due to a scheduling conflict, I ended up working with a member of her team, Shelby. I was a bit skeptical of the switch at first since I had already fallen in love with Lindsay's work ethic. However, upon being introduced to Shelby I felt comfortable with the switch. From the start she was very responsive and always delivered on her promises. She checked her email all the time and even gave me her personal cell and responded to text messages along the way. Leading up to the wedding, Shelby contacted all vendors and set a very detailed timeline. Even though things don't go smoothly, she was able to adjust on the fly and keep us calm throughout what can be a very stressful day. For the setup of the wedding, she took our instructions and ran with them. As breakdown, she made sure we got back all of personal items. After, the wedding, she even helped tracking down missing items and filling in gaps in the night. I couldn't ask for anything else from a day of coordinator. If you're wondering if it's worth the money? THE ANSWER IS A DEFINITIVE YES!!! Don't stress yourself out or a family member, leave it in the hands of a professional!
