I had a very frustrating experience today. I was scheduled for an appointment at 12:00 PM. The office was aware that I am currently injured, on medical leave, and experiencing ongoing back and knee pain. When I arrived, I was told that the provider who was supposed to see me had left for lunch, and I was asked to sit and wait for about 30 minutes. I find this very concerning and disrespectful to patients. People come to your office because they are not feeling well. If an appointment is scheduled for a specific time, the provider should either be available at that time or the appointment should be rescheduled in advance. Even though I was initially told the provider would return in about 30 minutes, I was ultimately seen about an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment time. It felt like there was no consideration for the time I was asked to come in or for the fact that I was in pain. I would appreciate an explanation of why this happened and what will be done to prevent this from happening again. read more

If you have anything that might require an MRI, DO NOT COME HERE because they do NOT provide pre-certifications or pre-authorizations for insurances. Posting this in the hopes of helping someone not waste their precious money or time like I did by visiting Clineva. I have a PPO. 80-90% of PPOs require pre-authorization for MRI according to my online research. My insurance company stated that almost all PPOs require it. It is so insane and honestly lazy that Clineva does not do this. They ordered an MRI for my swollen, painful ankle injury, but don't tell you they won't do what is industry standard in order for you to actually *get* the MRI. Now I am out the money (and time) I spent going to this urgent care yesterday and have to go to ANOTHER doctor in my primary care facility to then have them order the MRI and start this process all over. Was feeling pretty lousy and my PCP had no openings for several days. The walk in clinic at UCI was closed on a Thursday for some reason. Help Yelp! Clineva is a clean and modern clinic where I was addressed quickly. Results from the swabs they took was the only wait I encountered, as they require 10 minutes for results. PA was kind and listened. Test results were negative but she didn't just pat me on the head and send me on my way. She promptly sent in prescriptions to my pharmacy for symptom relief and sent one of my swabs for further testing to check for things the rapid tests do not show. I left in less than an hour feeling well cared for and my prescriptions have me feeling much less miserable. read more

The staff was super friendly and helpful. After checking in, I was almost immediately taken back to the room for vitals and to be seen by the doctor. I went in for two possible in-grown toenails. The doctor was able to quickly assess that they are in the early stages and refused proceeding with the procedure and instead prescribed some antibiotics and that i soak my feet in warm water mixed with Epsom salt. The clinic was very clean and well-maintained. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with no long wait times. I visited in the late evening around 7pm for a physical exam required for employment and a TB test. Fortunately, the clinic wasn't crowded at that time. Since I didn't have insurance coverage for this visit, I paid out of pocket--and the prices were surprisingly reasonable compared to other urgent care facilities I contacted. I was charged $70 for the physical exam and $50 for the TB test. For reference, PDQ quoted me $200 just for the physical, so this clinic was a much more affordable option. Terry pa Clineva, so they check my appointment knowing I'm coming for a rash then she's telling me she can't prescribe anything because it's a rash and I have to go in for them to see it, , and she asked me to describe it, I did in detail and she tells me again, well, she can't do anything without seeing it, when it's quite simple, there's no weirdness about it, and she mentioned, normally it would be eurythromyacin. She refused to prescribe it because she looked in the previous Phone urgent care I had about this a month earlier, the previous pa did something else, so they refusing to try to fix anything after their original fix didn't work, turns out eurythromyacin was the answer, someone else in a different urgent care by phone prescribed it and cleared it up in about 3 or 4 days. His name is Andrew at express, urgent care, very smart person and mice this Terry girl was not nice at all, had a total attitude did not care about being nice what so ever. read more

I'm an MD, so I understand health care. Went to my 0815 appointment for cold/cough/pharyngitis. PA did a cursory exam--told me my tonsils were normal. I had to tell her I had no tonsils--they've been removed--something a third year med student would have realized. Did not do a cervical lymph node exam, something routine for this issue. Asked her to prescribe what my lung doctor did for my cough, as I have what is called reactive airway disease, showed her the empty bottle. She agreed, took a picture of the bottle. 90 minutes later I found out that the prescription had not been sent, that she wasn't able to. Was she going to tell me or just forget about it? I had to make multiple phone calls to find out that she had dropped the ball. Offered instead a med I had told her had been ineffective. I also called Vons and spoke to the pharmacist who, as I knew, said the Rx had to be done electronically and that the facility had tried to "call it in," not allowed in California for this medication when told that electronic submission was required, provider said their system was not working. So evidently they run an Urgent Care unable to care properly for patients. Ultimately she called me back and told me they "weren't set up" to call in the prescription. Unbelievable. On the positive side, facility was clean, receptionist polite and efficient. read more

Office experience | customer service Could just be a one off situation. BUT THE REDUNDANCY OF THE STEPS FOR RESERVING A SPOT ONLINE AND CHECKIN IN ARE IDENTICAL. Why would you need to resubmit the same information? THE REASON why I ask is because it's a possible issue for a data breach -- but the girl in the front desk kept informing me that it is their "protocol" well your protocol has a gap for hackers. I understand that it is your protocol but it is redundant and while some people may be ok with this -- me deciding to question it struck a NERVE or they're upset I was the first one there while the person who checked me in was 10 mins late and probably flustered hence why I had poor customer experience Where her office manager with an attitude kept assuming I didn't have patience while I kept just asking why would I need to fill this out again vs checking/verifying? Clearly I'm not speaking English. So here's what I interpreted to what she said: checking to me means verify and filling out means resubmitting. So when I ask why am I refilling out information that I already submitted why would you response To clarify further WHY would I need to input my credit card information twice when it was submitted during the process of reserving my spot in line? I understand a front desk and office manager may not equipped to handle technical questions, but empathy can go along way. Thanks for nothing but a terrible experience. read more

Today I went to Clineva Urgent Care in Orange California and I am so glad I did. My hearing aid rubber tip came off and layed against my ear drum and I was unable to remove it myself! I gave my Primary Care Doctor a call and asked him to give me a urgent referral to a local ENT but they wanted me to come in and see them first before they would give the referral and today is the day before the 4th of July! My daughter, who is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner told me to go to an Urgent Care Center. I arrived to the Clineva office and was greeted by a friendly Assistant at the front desk. She gave me a portable tablet to check in with and she helped me when I got stuck! She told me my insurance covered the copay which was a nice surprise. She then took me to a exam room, asked me again what my problem was and took my vital readings. She then brought me back to the procedure room. The Provider came in quickly and I explained my issue with him. He left and came back with the right equipment and after a few tries got the rubber tip out! I was very happy and relieved! The office was very large, bright and clean! I will definitely be going back to Clineva Urgent Care in Orange California! Thank you. read more

I showed up and checked in, then sat around for 40 minutes as other people kept checking in and getting seen before me. I finally got fed up and went up to see what was going on and the staff said they "accidently checked us in at a different location". No apology or anything for their mess up and my wasted time. The clinic is otherwise nice but they really need to get their act together at the front desk and at least apologize when they screw up. read more

Ellen took me back promptly and took my vitals, she was very kind. Arturo was knowledgeable knew exactly what was wrong with me. Apparently I have old man chickenpox (skin herpes). Love this urgent care. All the staff are amazing. I haven't had any issues at all. All loving and caring. Very welcoming. When I say they care for you the definitely care for you. Dr. Laila Ayaz is the best! She has treated my kids a few times nothing but good experience and it's hard to find a dr who will actually hear you out and care for your kids like if they were your own . And she has shown compassion and as a parents it feels nice and my kids are terrified of going to the Drs. so definitely a plus they felt comfortable. All the Doctors are amazing tho don't get me wrong ( they are all nice and caring Doctors) but I had to point that out she definitely went above and beyond for my babies. read more

My sister and I came in because she had a splinter lodged deep in her finger. She overall had a very comfortable and thorough experience, we found this urgent care to be clean, and visually pleasing and the staff was absolutely warm and welcoming. The receptionist as well as Dr. Laila were so kind and more than helpful. I usually find that trips to urgent care are long, uncomfortable and tiring but Dr. Laila along with the staff we came in contact with, made this the nicest experience we've had at an urgent care.
