Went there for the first time today (5/4/26). People (all who were fasting) lined up before they…read moreeven opened, and when the doors did open, I found the process to be logical and organized. Sign in at the kiosk, sit down, go to the desk when your name is called. I had prepaid, so I handed Michele my paperwork. The phlebotomists moved quickly. When I was called, Michele, a woman of many talents, turned out to be a phlebotomist, too. I'm used to getting finger sticks for INR, but a venipuncture was required. I DIDN'T EVEN FEEL THE NEEDLE GO INTO MY VEIN, which Michele found on the first try! Usually, I'm like a pin cushion when others have drawn blood from me. SHE IS GREAT! Both she and her colleague were polite, kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. I HIGHLY recommend this lab! Thank you, Michele and Clinical Path. Lab in Bastrop, Texas!

Was pleasantly surprised with my experience at CPL -- the lady at the front was very nice and…read moredirected me to the check in area. Didn't take more than 10 mins after that to be seen and get my blood drawn. The nurse who drew my blood was also very nice. Something I noticed is the needle they used was a lower gauge (bigger needle) than what I'm used to; it was a little painful while waiting for my blood to drain and left a good sized bruise on my inner arm afterward, but otherwise my experience here was good! Plenty of parking right out front in the shopping area as well.

I went to CPL on Brodie Lane to get some blood work done…read more I parked in the parking lot and then walked in. I didn't have an appointment but luckily they take walk-ins. I spoke with the person working at the front desk and she told me to sign in. They would call me when they needed my information. So I signed in on the tablet and took a seat. After about 5 minutes the person working at the front desk called me up. She took my insurance and Drivers license and made copies of them and then returned them to me. After that I sat down and waited. I waited for about 10 minutes and then a woman called me back. She did an excellent job getting my blood. I didn't feel the needle at all and felt comfortable because she talked with me throughout the process which made it go really fast. Overall it was a good experience. Plenty of parking, very friendly service, and an excellent phlebotomist.

I think the people who work there are compassionate, efficient and very skilled. I don't know why others complain - it's one of the most efficient labs I've ever been to.

The front desk staff is really nice and will get you in and out. Make sure you bring your physical lab orders because they're not always faxed. The technician was super gentle with me and we had easy conversation. Will always return to this location if I have to go to a CPL.

I'm the shivery, shaky, arm-throbs-when-I-think-of-shots scared of needles. I've had horrible…read moreexperiences in the past, one lady could not find my vein and poked four times. But this staff was wonderful in every way. The lady drawing my blood was very kind, patient, and gave me a count down. I was shocked at how gentle she was, how little it hurt. Unfortunately, I got fuzzy vision and passed out, even wet myself in the chair. When I came two both ladies on staff were helping me, very kind, giving me water and helping me to lie down. Nothing but professional despite how embarrassing the situation was for me. After laying down and cooling off I even felt comfortable being poked again to get the last vial necessary for my labs. I did not catch their names, but thank you both for helping me today.

Great environment however when a person tells a lab tech, they need an experienced phlebotomist…read morethere is a reason for it. My veins roll and they are very small. Because of some tech's inflated ego, I experienced multiple sticks and then she kept moving the needle around inside my vein on my right arm (my right is my dominant hand). Extreme pain, bruising, and soreness even days afterwards. Finally, a more experienced tech took over (after all the torture) and went to the other arm. Afterwards, no bruising on my left arm, couldn't even tell where the needle hole was. My right arm looks like I have track marks. Not happy what-so-ever. Next time I will push back, this is ridiculous! Does this company hire brand new tech's so they can practice on patients??? Not good at all! Day of the blood withdrawal pic 1. However it was not needed and I was able to cancel it right from my phone. We chose this location because of their convenient Saturday hours. They have free parking, and a digital touch screen for checking in once you arrive. There is also an option to check in, and leave your phone number so you can wait in your car outside, but there were only 3 of us there so I did stay inside to wait. The wait time was not very long. While waiting I read that there is an option to register through their portal to receive labs directly to the patient. https://cpl.luminatehealth.com I required 5 different labs drawn for this appointment and am not entirely comfortable with needles /-: However, SONYA was friendly, kind, patient and skilled with the needle. I was very comfortable while she changed out the tubes, many tubes! I very much appreciated the friendliness of the staff, easy check-in, and this office was sparkling clean (-; Thank you for all your hard work, and keeping Saturday hours for our convenience. ttfn. , L.
