This cvs is like whatever. It was on my way home so I decided to stop in. There is 30 minute parking right outside, which is convenient because there's a gym next door and all other parking spots are taken. It's a pretty big store, but not too much merchandise. It was sooo hot today and I guess something happened to their ac that they were using the big machine ones. Store was so hot I went to purchase candy and the chocolate was melting through the plastic, it felt super squishy. I also asked for a receipt at self checkout and machine did not give me a receipt. Never called me like they said. I called 6 different times to get the status of my stolen gift card funds. So for the status they told me they can't do anything for me. Basically the thieves have won. I was so upset. I asked nicely to speak to a manager and no manager would give me the curtesy of hearing me out. They don't do that they said. Then they proceeded to tell me that the store the gift card was for the as liable. I need to contact them for the money. I found out Vistaprint now deliver your business cards to CVS instead of your home address. Turns out CVS rejected the package and now being sent back to the sender!!! WTF?!?! It's located in a big plaza on the corner of Devonshire and Reseda Bl. Large parking lot. This was the only CVS that was open before 7am. I was in a hurry, but luckily she was there. Once I entered, the lady that was working there was friendly attentive. I didn't get her name which is a bummer because she was amazing. Anyways, she greeted me and asked if I needed anything in particular, which I did. She immediately told me where I could find it. I started coming to this pharmacy since rite aid closed. Rite Aid transferred my prescription here it wasn't my choice but soon I will be taking my business somewhere else. I stopped by during my lunch to pick up my prescription and was unable to do so. I was in line at 1:28 only to be told that they are closing for lunch at 1:30. I told Nancy that I too was on lunch and just needed to pick up my prescription. She didn't care and closed the partition. I only go to this pharmacy out of convenience. Bottom line it they all lack customer service skills. It's as if they just hire any employee out of desperation. They lack professionalism and courtesy. I went in this morning at 9:30 to pick up a prescription. The girl at the register genuinely did not seem happy to be at work. She rang me up, asked me to sign off on the keypad as she's on her cell phone texting her friend. Prior to that I was standing in line for several minutes, all employees looking at me and no one mentioning "I will be right with you." They need better leadership - that's where it starts. I stopped by this CVS today to get some lip treatment for her because I had some reward money to use before it expires. Finding parking was fine since it's in a big plaza with a lot of parking spaces. When I got inside the store, I had to walk around to find the medicine area since I wasn't used to their layout. I found what I was looking for and went straight to pay. The store is nicely organized and kept cleaned throughout the store. They also have self checkout station here which is a huge plus. I had some issues using the self checkout so a worker was nice enough to help me finish my transaction with the reward points. read more

Wow, what a lazy employee!!! No registers open, only self check out and the one guy working the registers says 'I'll help you on self check out', but then proceeds to walk away. I said, I need help on a register, he said just ring yourselves up at self checkout and if you need me, I'll be here, as he's walking to the back of the store. This review is for Angel and Andrea (I hope I spelled her name right)!!! There was a mix-up that ended up working out perfectly! I had initially ordered four 16x20 canvas prints from this location but was told by an associate a few hours later that they were out of ink so he was going to cancel my order. I then called 3 other CVS's to make sure they had enough ink and canvases before placing another online order, and was able to place a pickup order for the Balboa location. I did not look at the prints when I picked them up and only realized that they were printed horribly and set incorrectly on the canvas after I had already given them to my family. All of the prints were grainy and faded (I actually thought that was normal lol) and one had an entire white gap at the bottom of the canvas and was coming apart. Not to mention, the black backing on the back was falling off on all of them. Anyways, fast forward to this morning and I receive an email from this location that my prints were done. I was confused because the associate was supposed to cancel my order, but thankfully he didn't! I spoke to Andrea on the phone and explained the mix-up, and then asked if I could switch out the canvas with the white gap. She asked the manager, Angel, and said yes! I came in hours later and spoke with Angel, and when he pulled out the canvases, I was shocked at how clear, vibrant, and clean they were! Nothing like the ones I received at the Balboa CVS. Angel said that this is how the prints are supposed to be and I received bad ones. In the end, I decided to just take the canvases printed here and return all of the other ones. Angel took his time to apply the black backings to all of the prints and explained to me that they shouldn't have been falling off if applied correctly! We chatted for a bit while he finished up and then I was on my way with 4 perfect prints! Angel is professional, understanding, and genuinely cares about people based on how he was assisting me and chatting with another customer! He also said that if I ever come across any issues like this, he'd always help out. I can't thank him enough!! Definitely recommend this location for amazing service and people. :) read more

Less and less will I subject myself to CVS. In general their pharmacy has been a haste at multiple locations. This one in particular has said they have meds on their computer that aren't actually stocked. The store it actually worse though. Was greeted at the door today by an employee who wanted me to put my 85lbs service dog in a cart. Just came for razor replacement blades. Asked another employee if a box of blades would fit a particular razor. She said yes. Spin getting them home of course they don't fit the razor I asked her about. ****Here again in the new year 2019. Just to be straightforward, the service here is very unprofessional. I came in with my sister to pick up some drinks before heading home. They were locked up, so we had to press a button to request assistance. We waited for a while after we pressed the button. After a couple minutes passed, we had to ask upfront for help. At first, we asked the manager for some help since he was near and his response was aggressive. We then asked the cashier, who also gave us an unprovoked attitude, and he told us that he'd help us after the customer he was ringing up. We waited. I just came back from this cvs and will never come back again. I walked over the the lash aisle and every lash was locked up. Some girl was already standing by the lashes waiting for a worker to come and open the locks. The worker came, opened the lock for the lashes that the girl wanted and handed it to her directly. When it came to me she opened the lock for the lashes that I wanted but said that she'd leave it at the front. I addressed the issue to the cashier up front but she had excuses and did not care at all. This was around 9pm. The lady that did this was White and the cashier was Asian. Literally the worst pharmacy. In person and over the phone interactions have all consistently been 1 star service. Be careful at this location when they have the CVS buck thing as they almost got away with not giving me the $ had I not said anything The guy working there (manager based on how he was dressed) said that the item wouldn't get it and that it was for selected items (not true as I bought the same item the day before at the other Northridge location). I said there is an ad for it (and there were ads within the store as well) and rather than take me at my word, he looked all over the store to see it for himself. I got a quick "sorry". They also don't put items in their correct spot. They had a small 50% off Halloween section and had items in it (Halloween related) that they wouldn't discount even though they were Halloween items in the Halloween section. I cannot say I would never go here because I made a special trip to this location because the other CVS stores didn't have the item I needed. On the plus side they have self check out. read more
