I take care of some of the admin duties associated with my cycling club. One of our members had death in the family & I was tasked to send flowers. I called the Fort Washington church where the services would be held to determine which florists they work with most often. They offered several & I decided to use Clinton florist. I called a couple times, but wasn't able to get all my questions answered so I stopped by during my lunch break. The young lady at the desk was pleasant & helpful. I selected the Sentiments of Serenity Spray & requested they sub some flowers for purple since the decedent loved purple. I paid $211 (including tax & delivery) & provided my email for the receipt. Employee said I should receive in a few minutes, I checked my email before leaving & didn't see it. I explained to her that many people contributed and I needed receipt of payment & delivery. The next day I called because I never received a receipt. She had entered Icould instead of iCloud. Honest mistake. She said she fixed it. I never received any confirmation. Not of payment, not a pic of the spray to ensure it's what I requested, and I couldn't confirm timely delivery. A few days later, my club mate said the flowers were nice. So 2 stars because something was delivered. -3 stars for fumbling on a basic request. read more

My mother received flowers from this establishment they were purchased by a friend from an online flower website. The flowers she received were not what the buyer purchased so of course she requested a refund. The next morning Clinton Floral is calling my mother and tells her they need to come pick up her flowers because the order was cancelled. This is triflin, tacky, and petty. It is not my mother's fault that the flowers she received were not what the buyer spent good money on. That is a problem between the contract they have with the online website not the customer. If anything they should have provided her with another arrangement similar to what the buyer purchased. Not come pick up her flowers. What if these were sympathy flowers? I ordered a PREMIUM "Lavender Laughter" bouquet from Teleflora for my mother's 84th birthday. Clinton Floral filled this order. The bouquet was supposed to be HUGE with dozens of purple and white flowers. I also paid extra to have it delivered early. The bouquet was delivered to my Mom late and is BEYOND PATHETIC. Instead of dozens of white and purple flowers, it has 4 PINK roses, 4 or 5 tiny white flowers, and a bunch of leaves. It looks like one of those bunches that people sell on the side of the road for 5 dollars. The vase and ribbon are the wrong color and the vase is the wrong shape. I can only assume that, since I mentioned my Mom's age on the card, this Florist thought that they could get away with delivering "Street Flowers" to my elderly Mom while getting paid for a Premium bouquet! I'm giving them two stars because I don't understand how the most important day for a floral business as in Valentine's Day, they completely failed :( I ordered a small bouquet of flowers in a vase with a Mylar balloon and Teddy Bear online a few days before Valentine's Day. The order was for them to deliver the gifts to my wife valentines morning who works literally less than a mile away and they didn't arrive to deliver the flowers till 3:30 PM. SMH. When I called the shop to check on the delivery status, The phone just rang and rang! I stopped by the shop around 3 PM to let them know that I did not receive an email and wanted To check the status, they said "oh yeah I just saw that order just went out" OMG. I specifically told them I did not want substitutions - and did not want any flowers sprayed with color. The color scheme was to be blue and white. What we received was pink, purple, white and NEON painted blue hydrangeas. We paid $285. The flowers were not the appropriate size or color. Bait and switch is what this company is doing. They use Teleflora to generate business and then they do not honor the prices or products that the consumer paid for... I ordered a bouquet of Roses from Teleflora's website. Teleflora contracts these orders out to local florists. Unfortunately Clinton Floral received this order. The description of the flowers from Teleflora's website stated 16 red roses Hand tied. Clinton floral delivered only 12 and told me that they don't adhere to the prices that Teleflora advertises. My question is why take the orders from Teleflora if you won't fill them correctly. The manager Hailey stated that I should take my complaint up with Teleflora. I would only give them a half a star if I could. My mother ordered flowers for me through an online company. Clinton Floral was the company that filled the order. They delivered the flowers to me at work. The guy who delivered them couldn't speak or read English...so he ended up standing at the wrong door, cause he couldn't read the name on the buzzer to ring into the office, and he knocked for at least 15 minutes before someone found him and let him in. The flowers, they were ok. Nice enough. Today I took a picture of them and sent them to my Mom so she could see them. A few hours later I get a call from Clinton Floral saying they're coming to pick up the flowers from me because they received a complaint. Turns out the bouquet I got was nothing like what she ordered. (She sent me a picture of what she ordered...totally different flowers.) My mom got a refund and less than two hours later Clinton Floral was back at my work repossessing my flowers and the company she ordered them through was having another company fill the order. Lesson learned? Don't order from them unless you're standing in their shop and picking out the exact stems yourself. read more

Clinton Florist does not deserve one star - I personally went in to the shop and placed an order for a funeral T224-1A Rose Tribute flower color Yellow Roses only (see receipt) with added baby's breath and a $10 plaque, spent $192.90. Had a long conversation with the manager regarding what the yellow roses meant to me, my family and the recipient's family a long time tradition - in celebrating the deceased years of birthday's, sickness, anytime -- I only sent her yellow roses, that was my signature. Arriving at the funeral and to view the flowers, the family said to me "Sandra you changed your color?", I was devastated. After the burial I returned to the shop to discuss my devastation and asked for my money to be refunded. The clerk called the manager at my request, and said she would not refund the entire purchase only $82; asked the technician who did the arrangement if he did it, he answered yes, and responded "I did not read the ticket"; the owner mentioned several times to do a refund while apologizing; the manager was addiment to only refund $82 and proceeded to instruct the clerk to do so. The manager also stated that "it was just flowers"! I can not express my anger and even after a few days I am still angry. First let me say, the spray for my mothers casket was very pretty with the flowers that were in the picture, red roses and white flowers. But the service of this store not up to par. I called and called and finally someone picked up the phone and answered. Asked about ordering, told to order thru website, asked about putting a ribbon on the spray told to put that on order and the delivery time..no problem being there by 9 am as it is right across the street. OK,,,put my order thru the website (at 300 bucks) requesting all of the above. Confirmation came thru with none of the special items I asked for. Actually drove to the store and went inside and talked to a gentleman, and he said he had just looked at my order and no problem with the extras nor the time. Day of funeral- 9:30 no flowers - Director calls - and was told, delivery is 10 am, spray arrives at 10:15 am (visitation started at 10 am) - No ribbon on spray as requested - just a typed note that says "Love and Memories (Add ribbon please)." Wow...even after I literally made a personal visit to make sure all was going to be the way I wanted it for my Mother. I am only giving 2 stars as the flowers ONLY were what we wanted. Customer service and time, and the ribbon, answering phone, and making an actual personal visit to store, I would not use them again. read more

This was by far the worst flower arrangement I have ever seen/received. My husband ordered these through 1800 flowers and WE are beyond disappointed. The flowers were wilted, dry, sloppy, un-bloomed..just tragic. Carnations were replaced with roses..just terrible. This is my first time ever doing a review which shows my dissatisfaction. I would never recommend this florist to anyone. My husband actually felt bad because he knows the normal reaction he gets from me when I receive flowers. I assured him he is not responsible for the lack of pride this business has displayed on the nation's day of love.
