I am probably the least likely person to shop here, but yet here we are (#1). If a beauty / makeup dunce like myself can find something redeeming in this store (#2), then surely actual enthusiasts will experience delight in every aisle. I hesitate to say they have it all, but they sure got a lot of stuff from all over. The selection of imported stuff is pretty unreal. They have items from all over the world, but a fairly big chunk of it comes from Asia. We're talking Japanese Shisheido and a whole slew of Korean beauty products. For the latter, I know folks who find the convenience of shopping here rather than ordering the product online. They also have a pretty solid selection of wigs as well, in addition to an extensive variety of hair products. They even have a number of masks for sale, which is perfect for the pandemic. A bit pricey but affordable compared to other places. Came here for Korean beauty products but they don't have that much variety, mostly face masks. I would give this beauty supply 5 stars if it wasn't for the workers following me around every aisle I went to. Terrible. The only nice person was the saleswoman who asked if I needed help. She showed me what I was looking for and as I was getting a few things I noticed someone looking at me and following me around like if I was going to steal?!? Like can you make it less obvious about watching that shit just annoyed the hell out of me, so I walked out. You could have had a nice big sale but because you decided to follow me around and watch my every move you didn't - never coming here again. Going to the beauty supply store on 80th. Word of advice, go to the back and watch me from the cameras. It's annoying shopping and having someone stare at you and not even ask if I need help. Nope. Just nope. I just bought a product that was $31 for Ms Jessie hair creme, 8oz. I went on Amazon and its $18! $18! I compared the other items that I bought and everything in my bag was either cheaper or the same price on Amazon. No wonder why so many stores are going out of business. It's not a good idea to markup so much if so many places have it for less. I will no longer shop there not even if I'm in desperate. I also second everything that Dominique wrote...Whenever I go there I am watched like a hawk from both ends of the aisle lol. No lie. And it's not even a friendly, subtle stare, it's more like an "I wonder if she will do anything suspicious knowing that my eyes haven't left her since she entered the store" stare. I went to Korea last year and fell in love with the cosmetics. I have been wanting to come here, but was always unsure about where it was and parking. After finding a great parking lot on Maple ($7 for 3 hours...I'm not in Manhattan!) I was able to finally visit Clio. Perfect timing too because I had just run out of my eyeliner! Cindy was my sales girl. She was so helpful. I knew what eyeliner I wanted and she convinced me to get one for my water line as well. I wore it last night and loved it! She also helped me pick out 3 new lipsticks. Then showed me an exfoliator, showed me how it worked (the hardness felt good) and when I checked out she gave me a bunch of samples! This place is garbage. Every time I come in this store they following me around like imma steal something. I try not to go in here but it's closer then the other beauty stores. But mind u they products are way cheaper at that. I brought a plastic bottle thinking I can dip it in hot water for my hot oil treatment and the shit melted. I currently do not come in this store the only time I come in there is when I want to mess with them and drop my coffee on the floor on purpose. They too damn racist. This used to be my go-to beauty supply store. It's convenient as it's just across the street from the 74th and Roosevelt terminal. I couldn't help but notice that as I'd look around, I'd be watched like a hawk. The last straw for me was when I'd purchased some nail polish and as I walked past the entrance to the register, one of the employees (a Korean(?) man) jumped in front of the door as if he thought I was going to steal. I get all of my beauty supplies from Ricky's now. I don't mind paying a little more. It's worth it to be able to shop and not be treated like a criminal. read more

I decided to go to my favorite Indian grocery store, Patel Brothers, and was on my way to a beauty supply store I found on yelp that was about 10 blocks away. I had only walked one block down Roosevelt Ave when I happened upon Clio Beauty Supply. Lo and behold they had everything I needed without having to walk that extra 8 blocks. They have a nice supply of cheapie makeup (NYK, Jordana, Milani, etc) and all the designer shampoos and conditioners, Dominican hair products, headbands, brushes, and hair dyes in all the colors you'll need. They also had a small aisle of wigs. I like that it's literally down the block and across the street from the F train (Roosevelt Ave) so the next time I'm out of my favorite curries, after Patel Bros. I'll take a stroll to Clio and pick up whatever I'm missing for my hair. read more

I have lived and work in Elmhurst for 18 years. I haven't shopped here for over a year due to rude employees. I thought ill give the store another try. As soon as I walked in the store with my seven year old daughter, i was followed. Evey aisle I went down I was followed by male. I put the items I was going to purchased back on the shelves. I walked over to one of the employees that follow me and my seven year old daughter. I told him, me being a Elmhurst hospital employee and long time resident of the Elmhurst & Jackson Heights. I will spread the word to everyone, not to spend their money in this store. I will continue to do my shopping on Amazon and Target. I will all also talked about this store at the next community broad meeting and show the reviews on this site. The residence of Elmhurst & Jackson Heights needs a business that will respect the customers that shop and live in the community not a business that will discriminate their customers. I will also report this store to the consumers affair and the Better Business Bureau. Please don't give this business your money! I believe in supporting small businesses but this company does not deserve the community's money or support! read more

Im a regular customer for this store.Pathetic customer service as long as you pay the money they are happy but when it comes to their product which is defective they show us the store policies and non sense i almost spend more then $200.00 each month this was my first time i went there for return the product it wasn't working properly they make a story we have to check and blah blah blah at the end they didnt take it and this time i have paid almost $100.00,after all that the cheese ugly girl says its ok i cant do anything and that ugly guy who was checking my product he look like a animal and talk as well they are not made for customer service just leave them in forest theyll deal batter with other animal.not recommended at all. read more

This place has EVERYTHING. From hair products, wigs, make up, hair tools and etc It's a one stop shop in my opinion. Staffs are friendly when asked for assistance and pretty much answers all your questions. It's convenient and transportation is easy. If you don't drive hop on the 7 train and you're there. Very disappointed in this place. Too expensive. The employees are rude. The past two times I have been there, the employees do not greet me or even acknowledge me, but instead have a conversation between themselves. After I was rung up and paid I said thank you to the cashier and he didn't even bother to look at me because he was too busy talking to his co-workers. Called to check if the store had a particular item in stock. They took the time to check in more than one area and, luckily for me, they had what I wanted. I was also given a price,without having to ask. Prices are difficult to get from many businesses over the phone. When I arrived at the store, the cashier directed me to a very nice guy who not only showed me to the item I wanted, but also pointed out a couple of other types they had in stock.
