I came here as a walk-in. There were two barbers in the front area cutting hair. Nobody greeted me or said anything. I looked around for pricing and finally found a sign on a wall that had "$30" for a haircut. (This better be a good haircut, I thought.) A female barber came out after a few minutes and started cleaning up her work area and then asked me if I was ready. She did good job and was friendly but it wasn't a $30 haircut. This place is conveniently located near my neighborhood. But we rarely go there. You walk in and no one greets you. When they aren't cutting hair they are glued to their phone so there is no customer interaction. It's dirty too. The stations are dirty. The customer seating area is dirty. The floors are dirty. I have been a loyal customer at Clippers for several years. I had my last haircut there and won't return. I arrived without a reservation, but there was no one else there except a man getting a haircut. While waiting a barber went to his chair, swept and wiped it down then told the other barbers he had an errand to run. Meanwhile, the barber in the back chair never acknowledged my presence. After waiting for the working barber, 2 people walked in and were accommodated right away. This has happened the last 3 times I was there so no more. Clippers used to be 5 stars. It continues to decline in customer service. Sad and disappointed. I arrived at 3 pm and the door was locked. I didn't see the hours on the door so I knocked on the window and pointed at my watch. The barber looks up, points to the sign, turns back to cutting laughing at the same time. Saturday hours are until 3:30 not 3 pm. Yelp states 4pm. Looked like two customers inside and two barbers. I think your business will continue to decline if you keep that behavior up. When I entered, there was one guy getting his haircut. I went up to get my haircut. When the girl finished with me (about 15-20 minutes) that guy was STILL getting his haircut. The barber must have spent nearly an hour on that guy. I got 15-20 minutes. I am 70-years-old and a disabled veteran. There was no senior discount. The girl barber told me the cut was $25.00 --- for 15-20 minutes? I paid cash, but even with all the money that place rakes in, no one spent less than $2.00 for a pad of cash receipts. So, I told the girl a business needs cash receipts for customers who pay cash. She gave a fake, insincere grin. I gave her a $5.00 underserved tip, so the whole thing cost me thirty bucks. I am now a former customer of Clippers. The last time I was in the guy, Louis, that cut my sons hair chopped it. I explained to him exactly what I wanted but I guess he had his own ideas. My son sits very well for hair cuts so he can't use that as an excuse. I didn't make a big deal about it at the time is because the shop was full and that is not my style. However it was the last time my son or I will get our hair cut at this customer unfriendly shop. Went here on Wednesday. I asked for a fade and a line. Got charged 2 bucks for a line I couldn't even see. Also instead of tracing my line from previous haircut he gave me an other line. I said to barely cut the top...and after the haircut I couldn't even comb it to the side because the bangs were too short. I went to dinner a few days later and the first thing my friends ask me is what happened to your hair. I should have gone to Looks Barbershop like I have been off of Hildebrand. After several attempts to get a haircut from Mando we had to walk out. We've waited in excess of over 1 1/2 hours on several occasions only to see people walk through the door and move ahead in line. They're rude, and have zero people skills, I would have waited a bit longer had someone come by and say "you're next," or " there's two more customers and I'll be right with you." But nothing no communication, no greeting at the door and I get the sense that I'm supposed to feel lucky or grateful that I finally got a haircut. I've gone to Clippers twice a month for the past three years and been reasonably pleased with the services provided, but I don't plan on returning due to poor management. They NEVER have the staff necessary to ensure that the wait time for a haircut is reasonable and I no longer feel that this establishment values my time as much as I do. I've adjusted the days I come for haircuts, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the worst, therefore I switched to Monday, and that has failed to remedy the wait time just as miserably as management has. The barbers are very pleasant and do a great job, but I just can't justify waiting forty minutes to an hour for a ten minute haircut any longer. Broke my own rule today when I went to get my haircut. I love this place, however I usually only have Sylvia cut my hair. Today one of the other employees, Sue cut my hair. Terrible. Asked me what I wanted then did the exact opposite. I was in a hurry so I did not ask if Sylvia was off today, and of course when I was half way through the cut, she walked in. My own fault. Sue was trying to win an Olympic medal and was not even paying attention to what she was doing. Laughing and joking with another barber and gouging the &%#$ out of my head. I have only been loyal to the barbers NOT the place. This location over time has gone backwards from an experience standpoint. One example is not having HOT water to properly rinse your hair. This has been going on now for over 6 months. Another example, small but still valid, is the owner use to have peanuts, this was a very nice gesture and made for a unique experience. Lastly, but most important, is the lack of customer appreciation and acknowledgement of customers. The standard is set VERY low by the daughter of the owner, Silva. A few examples here is she has no sense of urgency coming out of the back room and getting off of the phone to help the other stylist. I am almost positive that would not be acceptable for others to do. Another sign of her lack of caring for the customer is that she always takes the parking spot right in front of the shop (Grey hummer). In the business that I run, the customer is always appreciated and most valuable because at any moment the customer can fire you. Well your fired! I used to frequent this barbershop when the owner paid more attention to it. I stopped going due to inconsistent haircuts and bad customer service. I do think there is opportunity to improve with better management oversight and more scrutiny over new hires. These barbers can't even cut a simple low skin fade. They want to charge extra for a edge up as well and can't even do that. The couple times I have been there I have to have them fix my edge up and when I get home I have to do it myself. I have had the girl and two other barbers cut mine and my sons hair and every time I have had to come home and fix it myself. 40$ for two haircuts and they can't do a simple fade and edge up, wow.
