It has a clever bi-level design a gorgeous dining room downstairs and an upstairs lounge with décor that is simply out of this world! While the space is undeniably a bit dated, its throwback charm is absolutely delightful and full of character. The hospitality here is nothing short of magnificent. My waitress was incredibly warm and attentive, walking me through their selections with such poise. She took the time to passionately explain their signature artisanal bread and the perfect pairings to accompany it, all while seamlessly bringing out a lovely, refreshing drink. I settled on the Neapolitan Gnocchi, and it arrived at my table in a crisp ten minutes! The pillows of gnocchi were prepared to absolute perfection, and the flavors were divine. Between the speedy execution, the stellar cuisine, and that incredibly warm service, I was left entirely happy. It is an absolutely perfect setting for a chic, nostalgic lunch escape. This has officially become one of my absolute favorites I shall certainly be returning very soon!

This time around was better, they had an impossible burger, a really nice sounding salad and a "bowl", plus apps. Always wish for a place with some thing special like a good black bean burger or veggie burger, but beggars cant be choosers. The bun and the topping for their burgers were very good, which makes a difference with an impossible burger. The fries were "meh", but the cauliflower hot wings were quite good (not more than once have I been to a restaurant that messes those up). Service was quite good and attentive. Drink menu had some unique options too.

Tucked away in the heart of downtown Fargo, this place has such a captivating, vintage soul. It feels established, storied, and wonderfully lived-in truly a breath of fresh air for those who appreciate a restaurant with real character. The atmosphere is a delightful challenge in the best way possible; it's vibrant, bustling, and clearly the place to be. The service was absolutely top-tier both the chef and the waiter were remarkably attentive and made me feel completely looked after. I simply had to try their legendary Fried Cheesy Pickles. They are an absolute revelation! Wrapped in Havarti and an egg roll wrap, they have this almost "fruit-like" crispness and sweetness that makes them utterly addictive. I was also quite charmed by the Toasted Frog itself it really is the best in town. Full marks across the board! It's a quintessential Fargo experience, and I am already planning my next visit. Truly a 5-star evening!

To enter Brewhalla is to surrender to a sensory maximalism rarely found in the Great Plains. It is…read morea sprawling, multi-story "food and beverage wonderland" that feels less like a traditional North Dakota establishment and more like a fever dream curated by a group of industrial-chic Vikings. Anchored by the irreverent Drekker Brewing Company, the space is a 100,000-square-foot cathedral of corrugated metal, neon murals, and high-energy conviviality. It functions as a market, a hotel, and a community living room, but at its heart, it is a shrine to the modern Midwestern appetite. The Atmosphere The layout is intentionally cavernous, encouraging a sort of culinary flânerie. One moment you are browsing the "tiny things" at local boutiques or admiring the lush greenery at The Plant Supply, and the next, you are drawn into the gravitational pull of a vintage pinball machine. The "weirdo" aesthetic--Drekker's self-applied label--is executed with a polished, professional edge that makes the large space feel vibrant rather than vacant. The Libations The beer selection is, in a word, exhaustive. Drekker has long been known for pushing the boundaries of what a "sour" or "stout" can be, and the taps here offer everything from heavy-hitting IPAs to dessert-inspired concoctions that defy categorization. * The Happy Hour: It is perhaps the most democratic hour in Fargo. The pricing is remarkably aggressive, making the high-concept environment accessible to everyone from the corporate executive on assignment to the local university student. The Culinary Landscape The beauty of Brewhalla lies in its "choose your own adventure" dining model. There is no singular menu, but rather a curated collection of local purveyors: * The Bird: Artisanal wood-fired pizzas made with North Dakota-grown flour. The crust is "hell-fired" to a perfect char, providing a sturdy base for inventive toppings. * Unicorn Park Fine Foodery: Whimsical brewery fare that hits the sweet spot between comfort and creativity. Their smash burgers are a masterclass in the form. * House of Noods + Buns: Offering steamy bao and rich bowls of ramen that provide a necessary, savory counterpoint to the sweetness of the heavier ales. * Mångata Wine & Raw Bar: For those seeking a moment of refinement, the oysters and curated wine list offer a sophisticated escape from the brewery's louder corners. The Verdict Brewhalla is an ambitious experiment in community-building that actually succeeds. It manages to be a destination for the out-of-towner while remaining a genuine "spot" for the locals. Whether you are there for a quick happy hour pint or an afternoon lost in the shops and video games, it is clear that Fargo has found its new center of gravity.
