My family and I had so much fun here for my birthday. We had a group of four, from ages 9 to 73. The youngest and I had done an escape room before; husband and grandpa were first timers. We decided on "Back to Childhood" which was colorful, fun, and joyful. This is one of their easier rooms, which was perfect for my son. We asked for 3 tips...and got out with around 8 mins to spare. A bit pricey ($40 per person for 1 hour of play)...wish they offered a "room" price. But on par with other Escape Rooms so...‍ Our Game Master (think that's what he's called) was also friendly and attentive. read more

We had the best time at Clockwise yesterday afternoon! We did the Back to Childhood. The difficultly level for this is easy - definitely recommend for first timers! We came early to check in. They had some technical difficulties with the room, so they worked quickly to resolve it. We finally were able to start the game, which consisted of two rooms! You start off in one room and then try to make your way to the second room. I want share too much about it, but you will definitely have some nostalgia from this game. Crow assisted us and gave us helpful tips whenever we needed one. We will definitely be back to try some of the other games! read more

Fun theme and fun puzzles. I enjoyed the Medusa escape room. It was fun for a group of 6-7 people since there's plenty of stuff to work in parallel. The solutions were clever and generally not too obtuse. A little jank is expected in an ancient temple, so it's all good. Service was friendly. The timing was reasonable, as we solved the room with only one hint. I'd definitely return to try the other room. read more

Came here twice this week! We did the Escape from Medusa & Back to Childhood room - both were great but the Back to Childhood room really brought back nostalgia. It is also great if you're playing with a kid (we had a 5 yr old). The puzzles all made sense and the decor really makes you feel like you're in a kid's playroom. I'm back for another review after a wonderful session at Clockwise's new escape room, Three Kingdoms. I've been anticipating this room, and it didn't disappoint! Super fun and imaginative for all fantasy/Tolkein/D&D fans. The pieces are all high quality and worked beautifully, despite the room only opening a week ago. One of the best parts of the experience was our game master, Jake. When my small party ran into trouble, he was there with hints of just the right level to get us moving. This is a huge contrast to Limitless Games, where I had the terrible experience of dealing with a broken part of the Wizarding room and an inattentive game master who made us wait ten minutes before he showed up, insisted the game wasn't broken, then needed multiple attempts to make it work--and never offered an apology or extra time. Both visits to Clockwise have been great experiences with beautiful, well-designed rooms and incredibly helpful and kind game masters. Clockwise really feels like a company that values the customer experience and knows that great staff are a major part of that. I can't wait to go back! read more

We have done over 100 escape rooms, so we've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. We had a great time here last night doing the Back to Childhood room! Big shout out to our gamemaster extraordinaire Jake. He has the same love and enthusiasm as we do. We will definitely be back to do the rest of the rooms here requesting Jake as our gamemaster. We are so glad to have more escape rooms with new themes in the East Bay that are unique. They plan to open another room here in 2 months and open a new location in Walnut Creek with all new rooms. REVIEW FOR OCT2024. My partner and I enjoy their rooms and I prolonged this post to give the managers/owners time to reply however since it's been 3 months, I'll post my review now. My partner and I have done over 100+ rooms together across the country and the UK and I booked a room for Saving Frankenstein. While our game host was friendly and did her best under the circumstances, unfortunately, we did not feel our experience matched the price we paid due to several issues. Upon entering the room, we found that it had not been fully reset--several cabinets were fully unlocked, and the bookshelf was already opened. We were unable to contact our host for help due to the no-hint rule for 10 minutes and the fact that she was running multiple games simultaneously. This impacted our gameplay, causing confusion and disrupting the puzzle flow. Additionally, the final reveal of Frankenstein was not functional, despite the host's attempts to reset the tech. Her attempt to fix this spanned over 5 minutes with giving us direct puzzle solutions and we basically didn't solve half the puzzles due to doors being already opened or the tech malfunctioning. This was not the only time we experienced understaffing. During another visit to their Oakland location, a similar issue arose, where our host was responsible for multiple games and unable to respond to our hints in a timely manner. While I understand that unexpected staffing challenges can occur, I believe that having a single host manage multiple games on a busy night like Friday negatively affects the guest experience. I would have preferred to be informed of the staffing situation in advance and rescheduled, rather than proceed under these conditions. I hope this feedback can help improve future guest experiences. read more

Setup is really well done. Detailed and realistic decorations and design. Puzzles were challenging but all could be naturally deduced. The host/gamemaster known by Perseus was fun and helped hold up the theme of the room. Highly recommend. read more
