Now there are new managers and things have turned badly. First, they put a tag on my unit saying it's available for rent. Problem is I haven't relinquished possession yet and the rent is paid up. Let's chalk this one up to inexperience. Then, the next month I get a late payment notice. Problem is they didn't charge my card like was done for years prior. The waive the $35 late fee they shouldn't have assessed in the first place. Last week, I call to move out of the unit. The Florence folks are unavailable, so I speak to another woman who promises to get it done. A week later, I get another late payment notice for a unit I gave back a week earlier. I don't know how much, if any training U-Haul gives its employees. There is apparently was a significant lack of training at best. At worst, it's an indifference to customer service that is inexcusable. Store your valuables somewhere else until U-Haul gets its act together!

I reserved a 10 foot truck to be picked up at 9am this past Sunday to move to my new condo in Lawrenceville, NJ. The person who rented the truck before me never returned the truck! We waited until noon (when the place closes). We were not able to rent a truck that day because the only other 10 foot truck they had was in the shop. Perfect. So I had to move on Monday, after work, in the rain. To top it off, they were supposed to only hold the amount of the deposit during the time of rental and immediately return the funds upon return of the rental, but they CHARGED my debit card the amount of the deposit ($150). Barry, the ONLY guy who seems to work at this place, claims that Budget Truck Rental now has to write a letter to the bank telling them to put the funds back in my account, which could take up to two weeks. Atrocious!!!

I was told they would have to order it in and we set the date for installation. I called last week just to make sure all was going well. The woman I spoke to said they had to order the hitch. (I already knew that). I said that I understood. A week later I called to see if it came in and to make sure all was in order. I called today and spoke to the original woman on the phone and she informed me that the hitch wasn't in and that I should have been called to inform me that the hitch would take a month to come in. (Anyone else see a problem here?) She asked if I left a deposit I told her that I was never asked for one but would have gladly given one. At this point I finally caught on that it probably was never ordered because I didn't leave a deposit. So I cancelled called a competitor. I had to give them my build date, he told me they were in stock but had to be ordered through the company and it was guaranteed to be in next week. I had them order it and they'll come to where I work to install it. So thanks for ignoring me uhaul. I'm a serious buyer that you've lost business with. I don't normally write reviews but I did give you 2 opportunities for the sale. I know it's not a big ticket item but I was a buyer. I finally got a job in NYC, so I had to move to Jersey City. Being new to the area, I didn't have any idea of the movers in the Philly area. After doing some checking on yelp and google reviews, I came across Albo moving. Their reviews were really good, and they were close to my parent's house where I was living at the time. I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. I could not be more grateful to Alex and his team for the excellent job, and I would definitely hire them again for my next move.
