From the very first appt with Isaac's representative to the packers, drivers and job leads we were more than happy with every one who helped us with our move from Bucks County PA to Florida. It is very stressful and nerve wracking at that moving time but each time their people showed up we knew we were in good hands. All went over and above to make our move smooth and as stress free as possible. Professional, courteous and went over and above to make sure our items were delivered safely. My mom used Isaac's to move her from Telford to her senior living community in Bethlehem; we moved from California and stored our stuff at my mom's and now we are using them to move it to our new house in NJ. My mom (and I) are kind of picky and very detail-oriented, but Isaac's did a great job with hers and ours. Ricardo was the foreman on both jobs and you could not imagine a more competent, friendlier guy - he stays calm and gets the job done without stressing about anything (which in turn helps us stay calm and not stress). They gave us a reasonable estimate, showed up on time (unlike the movers we used for the California to Pa leg) and wrapped everything that needed it securely (also unlike the California movers). Don't ever use them for a long distance move. My Crew in Philly at Rittenhouse sq was awesome. But everything went downhill from there. They lost boxes and will not pay out insurance for a simple $200 for stuff they lost on a $7000 move. This is a scam be careful of the stuff you give them to move cross country. The 2 stars are form my experience in Philadelphia - do a local move with them - count your stuff. I will give them and there insurance policy 0/5 if I could. In my opinion and experience with Isaac's Moving and Storage they have been and continue to be an absolutely horrible and unprofessional moving and storage company! Upon the sudden death of my husband, I hired Isaac's Moving and Storage to move and store (four months) the entire contents of my home, which also including all outside furniture (two decks). Upon the delivery and unpacking of my belongings to my new home, I noticed that Isaac's Moving and Storage had lost or damaged numerous irreplaceable belongings of mine that included, but are not limited to the following: Antique mahogany Governor Winthrop desk, antique mahogany, cherry wood and maple ingrain grandfathers clock (early 1800's), antique mahogany Chippendale mirror, antique pine (1700's) wall shelf, antique mahogany Chippendale serpentine mirrored wall shelf (one of a matched pair), six oak D.R. Dimes handmade one board seat Windsor chairs (value: $800.00 per chair) dented, scratched or cracked. The list also includes many other pieces of antique furniture missing or damaged beyond repair to numerous to mention and list here. Missing: $500.00 dollar camera, Waterford crystal, many pieces of antique or vintage pieces of jewelry, numerous pieces of antique salt glaze pottery, clothing new with original tags, toiletries new with original tags, perfumes new with original tags, several headphones new in original packaging with tags, terrycloth bathrobe new with original tag, etc. etc. Many, many other personal belongings either damaged, destroyed or missing! I purchased an expensive (over $1,500.00) full replacement insurance policy for missing and damaged belongings of mine. Isaac's Moving and Storage has completely ignored my request to file an insurance claim for my losses. To date, they won't return any of my phone calls or respond to my many messages. Although, I must mention that I did receive an e-mail from Patty McKay stating, in part, "your $250.00 dollar deductible will cover any loss". REALLY, I have suffered a loss of over $10,000.00 dollars! I have continued to contact Isaac's Moving and Storage numerous times and left many messages which, again, have gone unanswered and ignored. To date, I still have not received any return phone calls from Isaac's Moving and Storage ! Deciding to hiring Isaac's Moving and Storage has been one of the worst decisions of my life that I will always continue to regret. I have reported Isaac's Moving and Storage to the Better Business Bureau in Boston, Massachusetts and the Massachusetts State's Attorney Generals Office. We hired them to move a small retail store from Boston to Miami. They said they would give us 24 hours notice before the goods arrived. I received a phone call at around 8:30 am that they are here in Miami and are ready to drop off the shipment. So much for the 24 hours notice. While making small talk I was asking if they were going to do anything in Miami or head straight back and the driver said "that depends on how much I tip him" From bad to worse, the driver disappeared before the first boxes could be unloaded and never showed up until it was ready to go. The 2nd guy only brought in a couple of small things and sat in the back of the truck most of the time. The 3rd guy was great, he worked hard to make me work as little as possible in helping him move some of the heavier items and make sure we were satisfied. I would give him 5 stars and the other 2 0 stars. I can't say how things were on packing end in Boston, but I couldn't recommend using Isaac's in the future. read more

We just used Isaac's for a move from a condo in Philadelphia to a house in the suburbs of Philadelphia, a move that required 2 nights of overnight storage on the truck due to timing of our settlements. We originally chose this company as they were one of only two movers that we could even get a hold of/get a response from, however Isaac's was fantastic from the estimate process straight through to the end. Our movers (we had 3) were amazing - they were incredibly professional and very friendly. We have some large, more expensive pieces of furniture, and not one thing was damaged in the move (not even the cheap, flimsy furniture). One large piece required me to sign a waiver acknowledging that it could potentially scrape the wall, as our staircase had a turn in it, however not one wall was damaged because the guys took great care. I would highly recommend Isaac's to anyone, and it was the best money we spent during the moving process! read more

I used Isaac's to move out of my house and into a new house. The second day of the move they arrived with a rented Ryder truck (not the Isaacs truck that I paid for!!) that was too small to fit my furniture into. They ended up scratching and nicking almost all pieces of furniture. They also broke a large wooden mirror that I had paid extra for them to crate. They hid the mirror in my basement and I didn't discover the damage until after they left. When I brought all this damage to their attention they refused to fairly compensate me for any items, including the mirror that they destroyed. I would NEVER use this company. Best Moving Company I have ever used! I have used Isaac's movers twice so far. From the initial contact with Isaac's to the final phase of my moves everything went exceptionally! Robert, from the home office was the best with regard to arrangements for the move, and professionally very accommodating with costs associated with the move. We just moved from a very large home in suburban Philadelphia to a smaller one. Issacs moved us and stored our things for 3 days. They were fabulous. Very polite. All six of them. Explained everything to you. NOTHING BROKEN OR DAMAGED. I would use them again. Remember to have lunch and water / sodas for them. We needed a last minute move requiring a full size moving van, and were we lucky to get Isaac's Moving and Storage to help us out! From the excellent customer service given to us by Holly, to the 3 guys who were such hard workers, it was a stress-free experience! These guys were really nice, didn't take any breaks even though they worked for hours in the heat, and were very careful about our furniture; nothing got damaged, and we were very grateful for their help. We had used Isaac's on a previous move in 2017 and had a good experience, so we thought that we would use them again on our recent interstate move and it was a completely different experience. Isaac's did not have a local office in our area this time. They hired from the local market to assist their driver and his helper with packing. The Isaac's truck didn't not have all the materials for our full pack job and ran out of packing paper, book boxes and dish packs during the job. The driver fired the local hires after 2 days and I ended up packing boxes for 12 hours on the third day while the driver and his helper loaded the trailer in order to get them on their way from the house by 10:00 pm and we paid for a full pack and load. Upon delivery at the other end, the driver said that his manager would call on Monday to discuss the situation at the loading end and I never received another word - so much for customer service. They had my full payment so I guess they could not be troubled with discussing their shortcomings. My move coordinator was useless and essentially was only there to make sure that the appropriate payments were made and did nothing else. Since the manager never called back to discuss the issues of our move, we certainly will not be using them next time. We expected more customer focus and care on a full service move of this size as the cost was three times what it was in 2017. The only redeeming quality of this move was that the Isaac's driver and helper were hard workers and took care when loading, but they had miserable support from their company. Beware if Isaac's does not have a local office in your area as the Management will leave you hanging if there is any issue - it will just be you and their driver trying to sort things out and make it work. read more

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE IF YOU CAN..WORST EXPERIENCE EVER..!! It was so night marish of an experience that culminated into the driver threatening to drive off without the goods being delivered if I don't make an extra payment of $350.00. I should have gotten a sense of all this when I first got my quote. I received a quote which was based on "weight" limit (which was a bit unusual as I have always worked with people who charge based on the volume, not weight). Then, I was told I will be charged for a minimum 3000 lb though mine was far less. And then, when they came in for the move, they said I could add on few things more as I was charged for 3000 lb anyways. We did add few things more but asked them to weigh them in before they took it so that we will not go overboard. We were told the weighing would only happen in their location (of course without our seeing it - how convenient!). And, as you can guess, we did end up more than 3000 lbs. And I was charged for the boxes and other stuff which I did not even request, and I was also charged for the actual difference in weight - though my original cost included up until 3000 lbs. That took 3 days and 7 calls to sort out..!! And for the delivery, I was toid they would deliver between 7-21 days after pick up. And lo and behold, I was delivered only on the 20th day and the cost not revised to the actual final amount. This had the driver demanding more money to me, and upon my refusal, he just walking up to his truck and when I requested him to talk to his folks to sort this out, his response was "WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO YOU? DO YOU THINK I AM AFRAID OF YOU?". After an hour of standing in sun (so that I can block the driver not driving off) and frustrating back-and-forth calls with these guys, the driver finally "agreed" to deliver at the correct amount. And it just took 5 hours to move them in as it was only one guy doing all the work while the driver was gone after 20 minutes. STAY AWAY FOLKS, STAY AWAY..!!!! read more

I would not hire Isaac's again or recommend them for 3 specific reasons, but maybe the things that bothered me won't bother you.... First, I think it was inconsiderate, and just plain disgusting, that all 3 movers showed up at my home needing to use the bathroom - for purposes beyond urinating. And they used both bathrooms, rendering them unusable by anyone else for about an hour as I had already packed the all the air freshener and Lysol. I was almost too embarrassed to write this part, but they weren't embarrassed to do it, so hey. Second, there were several boxes that we had packed and sealed that the movers opened and added items to and resealed but did not let me know they had done so. This resulted in us believing items were missing, since we did not think to look for them in boxes we knew we had not packed them in. You may not think its a big deal, but here's one example: it would have been a while before I came across the legs to my patio table since they put them in a box with my artificial Christmas tree. And third, after disassembling a bed at my apartment to move it, when they arrived at my new house the mover (the foreman, no less) spent a considerable amount of time in a bedroom reassembling it. In reality, he put the main section of the bed together backwards, and rather than reattaching the slats he just placed them in position and put the mattress on top. I didn't realize it until the next day while making the bed. Did he think I'd never notice, or not care? When I contacted them it was as if they didn't believe me and then they sent the same person who had pretended to put it together back to my house, and big surprise - he couldn't (or wouldn't) do it. A supervisor came to my home hours later and put the bed together securely. And then was kind (foolish?) enough to share that this person was being demoted from foreman because this isn't the first time he'd done something like this. Really? And knowing that you sent him to my house twice? Wow. This was an UNPLEASANT AND STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE. And it was not made better by the refund of my $30 tip to the foreman (which I demanded be returned) and a half an hour of service, which is supposed to account for the time he was apparently pretending to put the bed together. read more

When we moved cross country to Philly we used Atlas Van Lines but thought for a local move we could use a local company. We did NOT have a good experience with Isaac's. There were 3 young men assigned to job. While they were capable to carry boxes, they were not trained to manage large furniture. All of our dressers and tables have damage of varying sorts. These guys were exhausted at the destination and left items that they disassembled at our first location incomplete at the second location. They kept asking, with hope in their eyes, if I wanted x,y,z taken to the basement at the second location. They looked crushed when I confirmed that I did. They asked for water at both locations, I felt like a jerk for not being a good hostess. Do you know how hard it is to find drinking cups during a move? My whole house was packed. I don't want to feel like a jerk for a service I paid for. I wasn't able to submit our claim within the 10 days allowed but the corporate office offered an adjustment of 10% of our moving costs. Our policy was only written for $0.60 per pound, their recommendation - Obviously I wouldn't know where to begin on the weight:value ratio of our belongings. Our claim contact assured me we probably wouldn't have received much more even if I could have filed our claim on time, very disappointing. Overall I'm very disappointed and have damage to manage without matching funds to repair appropriately. If you decide that you need to use Isaac's, my recommendation is to get the most insurance you can on your belongings. In the future I'll be going back to Atlas Van Lines. The movers were professional, physically strong, fast and gentle with our belongings. 2 Atlas movers did more in the time 3 Isaac's movers did, and moved us 2200 miles with no damage at either location. Too bad I didn't read these other reviews before we trusted our whole lives to Isaac's. read more

I see that there are a lot of very poor reviews, but my experience was excellent. The two guys that came to pack my furniture did a great job, where very neat and handed everything well. I was moving from an apt on the second floor so they had to carry everything down the steps (the building is at least 50 years years old so the stairs are narrow). They handled the paperwork quickly and were very nice. All my boxes and furniture arrived on the other side (from maryland to florida) in good condition except a dresser that had a small whole in the back (not too bad). The two guys at the destination were quick and on time. Only downside, it took 12 days to deliver. It was in their timeframe, just took a while. read more

Excellent experience with Isaac's! We did a lot of shopping around and have significant experience with moving companies, and Isaac's was the best. As far as quotes go, they weren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for when you go cheap with a moving company. I found their price to be reasonable and fair. We did 2 separate moves on different days and both moving crews were punctual, courteous and professional. They moved all of our precious possessions with care, and everything arrived in the same condition in which it was shipped. The crew even placed mats on our new hardwood floors for protection from debris as they moved us in. David Pocorobba was our point of contact in the office. Absolutely the worst moving company in Philadelphia...l spoke with sale rep Ethan McCarron made arrangements for the move and on the day before the move they sent a rep at 3pm to see what was in the house to move. At 5pm l spoke on the phone to confirm and agree on the total price of the move which increased from 116 to 138 an hour....keep in mine it 5pm day before my move so l can't get anyone else now...so l agree and call then back with payment...no answer...6pm they call and say dispatch get you mover to someone else for tomorrow!!! What l flip...the Director of Sales Mr. Ron Hefez tell us basically first come first serve ..sorry NO ONE IS COMING TOMORROW!! From top to bottom, I found everyone at Isaac's to be very professional and gracious, from the administrative personnel to the supervisor of the movers and the movers themselves. But what deserves high praise was how Isaac's dealt with mistakes and mishaps, which happens in every business, and how the company resolved these issues and provided with excellent customer satisfaction. There was an accident on the job by one of the movers, who cut his hand and there was unfortunately blood smatterings about a sectional. Isaac's sent someone to remove the stains within 2 days, but, it only removed 60%. They could have stopped there, but they did not. Isaac's went the extra mile to provide superior customer service. They called another company, three hours from my home and he arrived days later. This time all the stains were removed 100%! The second thing that happened was that when I moved in, I asked the crew to leave many items in the boxes. After some days, I realized the burden and difficulty it would be for me to remove the debris and do it all myself. So, Isaac's sent back a crew of 3 men, a second time, three hours away and they unpacked and took away all the debris. The crew treated my things as if it were their own. They were polite, respectful and worked very efficiently in the most professional way. My experience was sensational and I would highly recommend them for anyone who needs a top-notch company to do their move. Isaac's moved my daughter from Richmond, VA to Philadelphia. They picked up the goods in Richmond and delivered them at the exact time I requested a week later. Everything was delivered in the exact same condition that it was picked up in. The items - large furniture that they packed arrived in perfect condition. They assembled the bed even thought they had not taken it apart. the apartment in Philadelphia was a second floor walk up with twists and turns in the stairs. This did not deter their efficiency. It was a very stressful move (the lock to our storage facility had to be drilled through and we had to be done with our move in Manhattan by 3:30). The moving company was excellent! They were fast, respectful of our things, careful, and efficient. Also, the price fell within budget (they don't include tolls in their estimate so make sure to ask about that beforehand). If I could give them 0 stars I would!! This has been an especially hard move for us and I originally went with Isaac's because the man who came to the house seemed really accommodating and was very thorough, at least I thought. The day of the move they arrived on time and that was about the only thing that went right. They took apart all of my lamps (bulbs included) and then charged me for packing each lamp, lamp shade, and the bulb plus the charge for the 3 different boxes these items went in. They proceeded to do this with three of my lamps before I was ever given a chance to say no, and pack the lamps myself, free of charge. They removed all the legs off of my couches and chairs put them in a box and packed them, when we got to the new house we were told that they had to get somebody special over to unpack the ONE box they put this stuff in otherwise they were not able to put anything back together. So they pack all the legs, charged me for it, then told me they COULDN'T put it back together because they're not allowed to unpack boxes. I then had to sit and rifle through a giant box full of tons of packing paper (that they charged me for too) for four couch legs!! And then put everything back together wrong so I had to take it apart and do it myself anyway (there was no way to give the movers any kind of instruction because they didn't understand what language I was speaking). They basically nickel and dimed us the entire time; there were fees that were never discussed nor was I given the option to refuse, and then upon receipt of the truck we were charged for 500lbs over what we actually weighed in at and when I called to ask why I was not credited they said it was some sort of policy. On the paper work I signed to schedule the move, in bold letters, it says, and I quote "The final charge will be based upon the actual weight of the shipment and quantities of materials, packing and other services provided", well this was MOST DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE!!! If you use this company to move you will regret it I already do and the only left an hour ago. They may have been in business for 25 years but they were disorganized, the sales woman Lynda Rose was completely rude and continued to tell me none of this was her problem and there was nothing she could do. This has been the same response I have received from four other people in the company that I talked to, so to my understanding they hold no responsibility for their mistakes and any of their actions. I TRULY REGRET GOING WITH THIS COMPANY!!! And I would recommend caution and very deep pockets (ie. Tons of money) if you decide to move your household with this company. In the past I have used Allied, National, Two Men And a Truck, all for 300+ mile moves and NEVER EVER had issues like I did today, and any issues I did have with those companies were quickly and respectfully resolved. I will be unfortunately dealing with the aftermath of this move for awhile and I would recommend you save yourself your sanity and find a more reputable company. read more

We used Isaac's Moving in June to move our son to NYC - the guys that came were professional and very nice. They got up to NYC and unloaded the furniture in less time than we contracted for...and they charged me less than I had anticipated. I used them again later in the summer to move my other son to Washington DC. They were great with him and the move went off without a hitch. We had a relatively small move for my parents and they moved very quickly. Unload was done just as quick. One of the guys was especially helpful with moving a big piece of furniture after I changed my mind. Because the driver's English wasn't great I had a hard time questing a second truck issue. I paid for the second truck and later contacted the sales rep who after a second inquiry refunded the difference in hourly rate - one truck vs two. The only thing I don't like about all movers is they have a tip line item. Moves are always an expensive ordeal and having to tip on top of it is a put off. Pay the guys a fair wage and drop the tip. Because not all the guys work as hard. Tipping one or two of the hard workers and not the others might cause issues with the workers, while tipping all when only some worked extra hard isn't right. read more

Hired Isaac's to move items into a temporary location. 1. Estimate was grossly inaccurate. Was forced to pay over twice as much as the written estimate and quote provided by the rep who visited my home (over a $3,000 difference & movers refused to leave and told me they would continue to bill hourly until I signed the contract. Told me to deal with my rep at Isaac's when their offices reopened in the morning) 2. Items poorly packed and handled (ex portions if curios not covered in blanker, bottoms of boxes smashed from being dropped). 3. Items left in incorrect areas (ex: office file cabinet in garage) 4. Huge items such as dressers block access from boxes containing items we need 5. Damaged my floors in both homes. 6. Missing screws, etc from furniture they disassembled. 7. Extensive damage to furniture moved (broken bed posts, dressers, dining room table).Can't put furniture back together. Called corporate 1 week ago and am still waiting for a response. Horrible, horrible experience. 6 months later I have not been reimbursed for the damage or the move. Have since had items moved to permanent location. Had a wonderful experience with the new movers, with no damage to home or contents, at half the cost. Would never use or recommend Isaac's. Please look at other reviews, even on other sites. Isaac's left everything wrapped for that month (did not take their blankets, etc) back until after the final move which we really appreciated. No major surprises in upfront estimate (a little over which I expected) and we worked with Martha for all the planning and she was great - very responsive and organized. On day of move, we had a crew of three who were very professional and respectful and did not hesitate to ask good questions which we appreciated. A little complicated as some furniture moved and some did not but no major errors - they listened well. They worked quickly but carefully. Also a management person came to the house to ensure all was going well, again much appreciated. She looked everything over and made sure we had no concerns. I wish I could remember her name as she was professional, thorough, and sincere. One hitch occurred on timing regarding when our items would arrive to our temporary storage facility but not a crisis for us and it was sorted out in just a few hours. Also our temporary storage facility was small and we were sweating whether all would fit but the crew packed it in very well and it all fit. After a month a new local crew (again very professional and efficient) did the final move and were very responsive. Put boxes where we wanted, unpacked at our direction, assembled furniture, etc. No complaints - they did not leave until we were satisfied and they did not burn the clock either. One hitch in that we could not find the hardware to put up a mirror but we were so tired we did not push it. Hardware did turn up in an initially unpacked box and we just hung mirror ourselves at a later date. Overall in the move we had one item damaged - more for sentimental reasons it was very disappointing to us but Isaac's handled the repair very well. I decided who and how I wanted to have it repaired and Isaac's dealt with them directly. Isaacs never questioned the approach (I sent pictures of the damage) and paid the repairer directly. I never had to deal with a bill or payment. So although very unfortunate it happened, it was quickly taken care of with no headaches - we worked with Patty and she was great. A local manager called me after we filed the claim to assure me it would be taken care of and it was. So overall, I would recommend Isaac's. Very good service and although we had one item damaged, it was repaired quickly at my direction with no pushback whatsoever. Their follow-up was good and I think they sincerely want to please their customers at all steps in the move process. read more
